  1. That ball wasn't in a position where Adams had any reasonable chance to catch it. You're confusing contested catches where the ball is put into a spot where a receiver can gain body position and win the ball. I've never seen a receiver catch a ball like that one, stop dead and fight through two defenders moving toward the ball. Adams has made a ton of brutal drops this season. That wasn't one of them.
  2. And if he's down two scores it's usually like he doesn't even have a RB dressed. How crazy is that? Look at all the Bomber losses the last three seasons and the correlation to Harris having single digit carries, and entire 2nd and/or 3rd quarters without touching the ball. Get behind, go one dimensional, ignore your most potent weapon, lose 90% of the time.
  3. That one carry made a huge difference.
  4. Lapo has rarely committed to the run in his career as a play caller. That’s one of his faults IMO. He makes his offences one dimensional and he’s rarely had the talent to get away with it, and it’s rare to have that talent. Like even BLM and Reilly stall out without some run complement.
  5. Doesn’t have much credibility when he’s missing routine throws and can’t get the ball out quick ever. Also serves no purpose other than making pissy pants Matty Nichols feel better about how sucky he played.
  6. How about Burnham giving up the first down. Gotta have the body control to get upfield and move the chains.
  7. 2 plays over 20 yards. One involved Nichols. Completed 3 passes that traveled 10 yards or more downfield before garbage time. No run game aside from Streveler. Max Hall would have been disappointed with that performance.
  8. How to lose your job in 10 games (or less).
  9. That was blind luck. Shaq Evans had a nice one earlier, the Bailey one was just pure luck. Closed his eyes and the ball landed on his chest in that pile.
  10. Threw them into the bus.
  11. If the Sask DB doesn't pile on Burnham's back that TD probably gets overturned. Since he did, can't see the ball.
  12. Dunigan basically calling out Nichols character on TSN. Saying adversity reveals character and Nichols isn't looking too good this season.
  13. I agree. Said to the people near me when that happened that throw is just completely inexcusable. If he tries to make a tight throw downfield and throws a pick you live with it at that point, but that play was literally going for 2 yards even if it went well, Demski was getting the ball stationary and had nowhere to go.
  14. Offensively for sure. If our offense could stay on the field our D can take them. Nichols weakness is blitz and Sask is the best at it.
  15. That wasn't an out, that was Nichols dumping the ball to Demski after hesitating through his reads. Davis just stood with Demski and waited for Nichols to hand him the ball.
  16. That was the easiest interception I've ever seen. Nichols stared down Demski who was standing beside him at the line of scrimmage and continued to do so as Davis backed off on the rush into the lane between them and then Nichols flipped the ball right to him like a point guard with glaucoma. The interception at the end of the half was a hell of a play, but still a horrible throw into the line, a problem Nichols has had for the last season and a half. Staring down throws and letting the DL read his eyes to get into the passing lane.
  17. Collaros reads blitz, easy TD. Nichols on that play would have hesitated his ass right into the turf.
  18. Our natural pick might be pretty high too given the number of divisional games left.
  19. All 8 teams. The 2 and outs this team has put up including Streveler's last start to today's game are astounding, even in games they've won. It's been Harris, D and insane special teams.
  20. Hard to recover from the QB handing a free TD per game at minimum to the opposition too. You can maybe do that it you throw for 400 yards and 4 TD's every game, but not if you're closer to 200 and 1 TD.
  21. Streveler will produce the same amount of passing as Nichols (thinking actual game numbers, not the last 2 minutes when teams lay off, or the 20 minutes of prevent he saw vs Ottawa). About 220-250 passing, but Streveler adds the element of running, both by design and out of necessity when plays break down. This has to be defended and opens up passes to backs because the LB's have to wait for Streveler, they can't pay too much attention to Harris leaking out because if they run at him, Streveler runs up the seam for 20. This offense with Nichols is just too easy to defend when he has no midrange game. and no hope of hitting a deep ball consistently. Now Streveler is young so automatically you worry about turnovers, but in reality he's been better at protecting the ball than Nichols thus far in 2018. I don't see a huge downside in terms of production. The downside is Nichols losing his mind and never playing for us again, but seems to be heading that way regardless. The guy is out of sorts.
  22. The import scouting has been ****, and I think partially because they don't do a good job of developing guys or giving new guys a real shot to develop. Instead they get stuck on one dimensional players like Lankford, because he's so damn fast! He can make like two big plays in a whole season just by being so fast!
  23. Even Lafrance is a pretty useful player. Can run, catch and block, just does good things when he gets on the field.
  24. In a game he was leading into the 2nd half.
