Zero pocket awareness.
-
Bighill should probably sit out a few more until he's full health.
-
Best at drafting internationals too.
-
That's horrendous quarterbacking on first down killing a chance for points. Need to make something happen.
-
Nichols CAN'T do that. Need to get that ball out or move.
-
Brutal by Fenner and Maston.
-
The entire last minute by both teams was a great clip for a coaching clinic. A lot of overthinking.
-
Down to 2 defensive ends for the rest of this one, Kongbo and Jefferson.
-
Garbage half by both teams. Bombers need to smarten up in 2nd half, play ball.

Leos @ Bombers: Week Of Thread
JuranBoldenRules replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Sure. We have 9 touchdowns/drives that started inside the opponent 20 from special teams or D too. Best thing we can say about the O is in the first five games of the season their redzone numbers were great and they didn't turn it over. The last three have been a pretty big struggle. -

Bighill's thing is all about trapping blood in the neck/brain. It's like a **** ring for the neck. -
There’s an abundance of ways to counter that type of zone shell (seems like they play cover 1-2 base with robber, everyone is looking to jump routes) though to open up routes for the passing game, flooding, combo routes are the most obvious remedy, also simply running verticals and forcing guys to choose whether to watch the ball or haul ass. I’d like to see the Bombers get teams concerned about vertical routes and crossers to the speed guys then smack teams right in the face with 15 yard back shoulder plays to the big guys like Wolitasky and Matthews. Can’t believe they haven’t figured out how to turn these guys loose. Harris is a great counter too.

8 games in we've given up 25 once, loss vs Toronto. Nobody should have any concerns about the D. -
I think Hallett is pretty legit and played a ton of half in CIS, at East West bowl 18 there was a lot of talk about him being a 2nd-3rd rounder but then he got nicked up. Film definitely outperformed his measurables. He’s the one to watch in terms of the safety spot IMO.

It's time to hand the ball to Streveler.

Probably end up dressing an American as DI then rotating with the receivers and Canadian back. -

Disagree. Have only seen Augustine in about 3 pre-season games but he hasn't run away from anyone. He's an inside runner with some elusiveness, but doubt he has the gear to hit some of the runs Harris has this season once he's got outside. Augustine would do well to be an average level CFL back. -

Demski can't block for ****, which is why he was the first of the Bison triumvirate to make the move to receiver and has never played special teams aside from returning. He can carry the ball but there's no way in hell they'd run a straight drop back with him as the 6th blocker. -
EDIT: BC staying in Hamilton, 2 practices fly out Wednesday. BC is traveling 3 times zones west, off-day, then 2 practices and traveling 2 time zones east. Our team is waiting at home, 3 full practices and zero travel. This is a week they all better shine, coaches and players.

I only saw the last 3 minutes.
-
Wonder if Reilly can even go next week. His mobility was not looking good and I'm sure that ankle is going to swell up pretty nice as the adrenaline wears off.
-
Crazy finish. Guy Lankford lateraled too should have booted it again, damn near all of BC's players would have been onside. And Hamilton needs to be ready for that quick kick, all they need to do is recover that ball, anyone.
-
Obvious catch, he makes catch than turns to endzone, doesn't bobble until he hits the ground.
-
So you're attributing those team records to those coaches OC ability? This post is at the same time way overthought and way oversimplified. Almost like a scene from Billy Madison.
-
Yes, and since their skill sets are so radically different there's a great opportunity to really **** up the opposition. The Bombers DID THIS last season already. You've got teams on short weeks with limited practice/meeting time. They spend more of that prepping counters to Streveler they spend less time focused on the pocket passing game/base offense. They spend no time on Streveler and more RPO and general option running, more focus on shutting down the base offense then we exploit that. A quarter into the game the Bombers will know where the opponent is at and can adjust.
