I'd rather have 2 QB's that can win games.
-
That's scary too. Head coach has as much CFL experience as Manziel, and was coaching in startup pro league in the States in spring instead of working on learning the CFL game.
-
Shiltz is injured. Willy is injured. Adams would be the option. The 3rd QB tonight is also off the street in the last week.
-
Throwing moving backwards ain't gonna work here.
-
Drug Flutie, since all they've done is compare him to Flutie. A little derogatory though.
-
Sherman for sure. I mean the Manziel trade was so stupid in terms of what they gave up. Personally I'd end that experiment tonight too and have him at #3 or #4 on the depth chart but they probably can't. Montreal is just such a mess.

Can't believe they let Bede punt still. So slow to get the ball away just a big play for the opponent waiting to happen.

The location within the city is less of an issue to me than the fact it’s on a relatively isolated university campus with limited access to only one thoroughfare. If it were on the other side of Pembina toward Kenaston or somewhere like that in the south end with access in all directions it would be fine. If they could build even a pedestrian bridge to St. Vital to lessen traffic on Pembina and open up more options that would make a big difference. But the politics of pretending to be cheap and making the U of M stakeholders ruled the day. And it really screwed over the Bombers. Not having transit ready to go, forcing the Bombers to pay for it. Cripes.

Real bad peel back block on Sewell that let Thigpen get the edge on the Rider TD. Put any notion of conspiracy to rest.

Thought this was a live mic game, can't hear anything.

I'd rather finish 4th in the West than 3rd, that's for sure.

I don't believe the point is even arguable. If you park on campus it takes forever to get off. The other option is parking kilometers away. If you take the bus it takes a long time to both get onto a bus and then get off the campus. I've never been to a game where the time from leaving my seat to getting my vehicle onto the Perimeter took less than a hour that's from 2015 on. Prior to that we still lived in the city and used the park and ride, not much of a difference there, get home between 11:30-midnight. I think most casual fans would view the games as an event to go to 1 or 2 times a year given the time commitment now. They've also lost a ton of season ticket holders between 2013 and now, some for on-field reasons who haven't come back, some for off-field (what we're talking about here and negative experiences with the past leadership). I doubt the days of packing 29,000-30,000 in routinely when the team was competitive, picking up the casual fans, will ever happen at IGF. IMO the teams the last 3 seasons have been the best we've had this side of 2001 in this millennium and there's certainly lots of hype, but 27,000 is seen as a good crowd. I never lived anywhere near the old stadium but going by either car or bus we'd be at our watering hole in our younger days at the complete opposite end of the city within an hour after 0:00 no problem. They are also competing with HD TV both at home and local bars.

Send Franklin back to Edmonton for Kevin Glenn. That's the only QB remotely available who I could see succeeding for Trestman.
-
MBT is not very accurate. That's gonna be a problem in Trestman's CFL version of West Coast.
-
Not sure how Martese Jackson doesn't get cut. Having a brutal season.
-
MBT throws a quick out into 3 RB's like a freaking robot. 30 years old, first start. Can see why.
-
It’s there.

In the end it’s all a guessing game between the DC and the OC. If the OC overloads the right spot on the defense and the QB reads it, there’s not much you can do but make the tackle. If the DC brackets the right route that is the first read the QB can be in a lot of trouble. I like this defense best when it’s two deep safeties with coverage in the flats rushing 3 or 4, WIL or MIKE dropping into the middle reading QB eyes. Force QB’s to make throws. You have a lot of guys that are really good at playing a deep half. Leggett, Fenner, Fogg, Bighill, Alexander, Sayles has been good. I’m not a big fan of Loffler downfield because he’s slow in terms of footspeed and spotting the ball. You can run this basic coverage repeatedly and change who/which position drops, which picks up flats. I’d get Loffler down in the flats a lot too because you need him engaged physically. As long as the DL gets pressure with 3-4 this coverage is pretty damn hard to beat.

Regular Season Bomber News & Discussion
JuranBoldenRules replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I think our best secondary is Randle at the boundary, Fogg to the field, Alexander at field half, Leggett and Fenner swapping between playing boundary half and SAM, lots of two deep safety too. Sayles as DI. Hall has lots to work with, nobody should be gassed at the end of games. -
Trade them Augustine for 2 or 3 1st round picks.
-
Heath is pretty high event, makes big plays for both teams. Our secondary had been better without him and he’s certainly not worth the cap space when you can get guys like Fogg, Alexander, Fenner for less.
-
I mean a stadium maybe could be built straight up with no financing, but all of the other projects literally cost in the ballpark of what the province brings in for general revenue in a given year.

Pass catcher performance NI vs Imp.
JuranBoldenRules replied to wbbfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
And that’s with Petermann, Simonise and Lafrance basically not playing offense. I think Petermann and Simonise can and will play a big role in the offense down the stretch. -
Reed keeps tinkering with his OL. Gets pretty bad value in this deal, again. Swap of picks too, Als get a 3rd, Argos a 5th.
