  1. Streveler will produce the same amount of passing as Nichols (thinking actual game numbers, not the last 2 minutes when teams lay off, or the 20 minutes of prevent he saw vs Ottawa). About 220-250 passing, but Streveler adds the element of running, both by design and out of necessity when plays break down. This has to be defended and opens up passes to backs because the LB's have to wait for Streveler, they can't pay too much attention to Harris leaking out because if they run at him, Streveler runs up the seam for 20. This offense with Nichols is just too easy to defend when he has no midrange game. and no hope of hitting a deep ball consistently. Now Streveler is young so automatically you worry about turnovers, but in reality he's been better at protecting the ball than Nichols thus far in 2018. I don't see a huge downside in terms of production. The downside is Nichols losing his mind and never playing for us again, but seems to be heading that way regardless. The guy is out of sorts.
  2. The import scouting has been ****, and I think partially because they don't do a good job of developing guys or giving new guys a real shot to develop. Instead they get stuck on one dimensional players like Lankford, because he's so damn fast! He can make like two big plays in a whole season just by being so fast!
  3. Even Lafrance is a pretty useful player. Can run, catch and block, just does good things when he gets on the field.
  4. In a game he was leading into the 2nd half.
  5. Meh. TBH Poop is a pretty marginal player in this league. I think you have to try to improve on those guys especially when they start being stupid.
  6. Nichols is a total mess. For his sake and the teams he needs to take a seat.
  7. Hate the empty backfields. Hate it. Don’t make yourself that easy to defend.
  8. Plus you open up space for Harris, Demski because Streveler is a huge threat if he keeps it, you have to defend that. They don’t have to worry about Nichols with the ball at all, just where he might throw it or hand it off to.
  9. That’s not coaching, that’s a QB having an extra large brain fart.
  10. Streveler is honestly the perfect change of pace guy. As long as Nichols doesn’t get his panties in a bunch about it I could see it being very useful giving Streveler a series here and there and maybe more depending how it goes.
  11. Nichols can’t read a blitz presnap or get the ball out quick enough. He’s a 200 yard QB right now and he’s really limiting our offence. That could have been a 30 point half if Nichols could beat a blitz.
  12. Insane to throw a pass behind the line of scrimmage when you're already in field goal range to tie. Insane.
  13. Interesting on both final drives we see how little faith each coach has in their QB. Can't believe the screen call by Trestman. Lost the Argos the game.
  14. Can he be any factor toward a win? That's the important question. There's not much positive that he brings. In that case he basically has zero margin to do anything negative.
  15. Mostly plays tight end. Has only played guard significantly otherwise.
  16. If you don't cut Dressler this week his salary counts for the season. Even if they signed someone like that they wouldn't cut Dressler, there'd be no benefit.
  17. Lankford has never evolved from being a rookie. Makes the same rookie mistakes, mistakes most rookies wouldn’t even make like letting kickoffs roll on the turf.
  18. So as long as a player is reliably limited, we know that they can't do better, we can be comfortable with that? This board needs moderation. Holy hell.
  19. Then you haven't been watching.
  20. Hate the limited challenge. Should keep your challenge until you lose one. Why penalize the coach/team because the officials stink?
  21. Horribly designed onside kick attempt. No shot at that ball.
  22. Calgary's DL out of Dartmouth there just had a big brain fart and left his inside gap wide open 47 to run through to block the punt. My guess is they spend no time on that in practice. A guy who's played defense his whole life probably wouldn't even think in terms of gaps for blocking.
  23. Stamps D is crazy at disguising their pressure and coverage pre-snap on passing downs. Takes a split second off their pass rush but takes the QB longer than that after the snap to get their bearings since they get nothing before the snap.
