  1. Coates has a non-football injury. Bagg was injured playing football for the Riders in training camp this year. That's the difference. If Coates was injured in training camp he'd be on the 6 game. You can cut injured players with benefits if they are not veterans. Can't cut injured veterans. That's why teams are often hesitant to bring vets in for a look. They roll an ankle and they are on your team.
  2. Lapo must have something ready for Lankford. There's some hope. The darkness in my heart tells me though that Lapo is always nuts for a guy who can "take the top off the defense" even if the guy can't run a route to save his life. Lankford also has fumbleitis of late. I hope to hell he doesn't return kicks.
  3. Yep, it's quite simple. A 5 minute assessment is not enough. There's a ton of Adrenalin, often other substances on board. The protocols are basically legal ass covering, but even as that they aren't effective if they are not followed. The trigger to be in protocol should be any sign of symptoms or the hit itself, whatever reveals itself first. You shouldn't have to flunk an extremely basic assessment to end up in protocol. IMO the CFL Protocol sucks and if they can't follow it for a simple open field hit on the QB with 500 cameras on him that's a pretty good sign they just aren't trying to protect the players.
  4. Chris Jones basically comes out and announces that the Riders violated the CBA today with releasing Bagg. Can't release an injured veteran. Should have kept him on 1 game IR. Gonna be a lot deeper doo doo than a $25,000 fine if the CFLPA decides to grieve this. What a maroon, why even say this?
  5. But now we know Medlock would have to break both legs to leave the game.
  6. I wouldn't. He's not much better than Lankford at this point. Straight line speed and nothing else.
  7. Ya, and the unbuckled chinstrap is what take him down.
  8. He looked pretty bad for Montreal too. Got lucky that the crown of his helmet hit the paint otherwise he would have had a fumble that would have been on the top 10 stupid plays for the rest of our lives.
  9. IMO Williams is easily the odd man out there. I'd take him out with or without Carter.
  10. Scored 24 points and threw a pick six. Great game.
  11. If they want to sign Carter, dress Bowman and Jackson and release Eugene Lewis I'd gladly scoop him up if I'm Kyle Walters.
  12. Disagree. All of Masoli's and Green's significant runs featured a missed tackle by Loffler. Our D is immensely better having the Leggett and Fenner on the field together every down without having to sacrifice Alexander or Sayles. At this point not having to keep Loffler on the field for the majority of snaps is addition by subtraction too. They can still have a role for him to play and maybe he can get his mojo back in that and chasing kicks. Petermann is averaging what, 2 broken tackles per reception this season? Simonise is a legit deep threat. Between those two you have a big threat IMO. You could still dress Flanders or Washington as a DI if Dressler comes out.
  13. This is a huge turning point for Jonestown. Some kool-aid drinkers won’t look at anything objectively but the media is turning on him in a big way.
  14. And in Montreal Tommie Campbell, highest paid DB in the league, was scratched in warm-up for having his chinstrap undone. Als played a player short.
  15. At putting up yards I guess. He doesn't win much, .500 as a starter in the weak division. TD to turnovers 1:1.
  16. Doesn't set his feet, not a good base. He's a scrambler. You can only get away with that sometimes. Needs to work from the pocket to be able to use his scrambling, otherwise you beat him like how everyone beats Masoli. Let him sit in the pocket and take the ball when he hands it over.
  17. Almost 500 yards passing and 24 points, threw a TD pass and a pick six. Not my player of the game.
  18. Montreal needs everything and they are signing pretty much everyone.
  19. That's a pretty good indication that he doesn't have an arm.
  20. Toronto is one team that for sure won't go near him. Popp dealt with all his BS in Montreal.
  21. Won a D2 National Championship as QB at Valdosta State and now coaching QB's in NCAA.
  22. "The team that drafts Duron Carter will get the most lazy, whiny & non-work ethic player the nfl has ever seen. I played w/him. Horrible person & will be a complete cancer to any team on the board." That's what his junior college QB said about him in 2014.
  23. Bowman....wake the **** up.
