  1. Rice was an undrafted free agent in 2013. Who are you thinking of?
  2. How can it? If it does work he’ll be back in the NFL by 2020.
  3. No kidding. And they used their 2019 pick (likely 1st overall) on a guy with bum knees who got injured in his first game.
  4. Catching 40% of the passes thrown his way. Targeted more than Wolitarsky and far less productive, targeted not much less than Dressler for the season. If he was catching 70% of his targets you’d be on the right path. You can’t get more targets when you prove yourself to be unreliable, and that’s why he’s seeing fewer and fewer targets in meaningful parts of the game.
  5. The challenges need some common sense, or get rid of them entirely. Illegal contact should be reviewable on the intended receiver. We can challenge roughing the kicker now but not illegal contact? Just because Maas is a ****** who tried to take advantage of it? Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. At this point they might as well just let the booth initiate all challenges. Having one challenge a game is stupid. If the refs are making incorrect calls and the coaches win the challenge they should be unlimited.
  6. Harris is wildly inconsistent. He served up 3 INTs that BC dropped this week. His statlines look good sometimes but he's sub .500 as a starter. The fact he's been pulled a couple times this season already says a lot. Lulay is good but has no durability.
  7. They ran it on the first drive and he attempted to catch the ball that was right on him by leaping and trying to grab it like his hands were two greased frying pans. I don’t understand why he leaves his feet everytime a pass comes his way and have also noticed he’s catching more with his arms trying to cushion the ball into his body rather than catching with his hands up. These two bad habits are sure ways to drop a ton of passes.
  8. BC and Montreal are almost more troublesome IMO. The solution in Toronto has been so obvious for years, they just need some actual money to build a cheap stadium in the suburbs. MLSE and Rob Ford’s big bro might just be the Argos ticket out of downtown.
  9. I don’t really view Bowman as a vertical guy, I mean he can, but he developed into much more of a possession receiver. Everyone wanted him to be a deep threat because of his body type but he didn’t really become a consistent player until he moved into the slot. For instance I doubt he’d take Adams spot on the boundary if he was injured. They’d bring on Thompkins or Washington or maybe even use Simonise.
  10. If Montreal doesn’t at least give Sherman the season they won’t be able to hire anyone on the reasonable side of Tom Higgins to be their next head coach. This franchise would be going full on Ottawa Rough Riders of the 90s.
  11. I don't know if that was a pass play off a zone read or if Shiltz was trying to run a zone read bootleg around the edge there. Either way when the DE plants his feet in that zone read play the ball has to go to the back.
  12. Raw first week in Canada rookie LT gets killed on a twist and Shiltz is tasting his breakfast and lunch again.
  13. Crazy double challenge. CFL needs to let the booth correct those incomplete/complete calls that are obvious without a challenge, just like how they are fixing spots now from the booth.
  14. Goltz could at least run, just couldn't pass. Doesn't appear Schiltz has any plus abilities, he's just kinda out there trying to move the ball and getting cranked.
  15. They've had 3 good games in a row. This one was a great game.
  16. Nik Lewis is going to be 400 pounds by the time the next CFL season starts.
  17. Montreal will be lucky to win 3 games this season, and they've already won 1.
  18. Bede has to be the slowest punter I've ever seen in the CFL. Only other guy who took that long to kick the ball was Justin Palardy when Hamilton used him as just a punter when he was a rookie.
  19. Trade him to Alouettes for Ernest Jackson. See if he can reclaim some magic from his Ottawa days, if not cut him too. Montreal wanted Bowman bad in the off-season.
  20. Really liked Brandon Alexander on D. Big play early on a screen pass which really set the tone for the D I thought. Solid all day. Medlock's punting and kicking in general was great in a tough wind. Great directional punting, picked up a single after a TD which is always demoralizing for the team being scored on. Nevis and Johnson were monsters too.
  21. Starting Johnstone at LT the week he signs. Has he even been on a Canadian field before? Montreal is like 97-98 Bombers level gong show.
