  1. I don't know how much you can blame Tabbies...Chapman showed up to CFL combine. That shows interest IMO. Lots of guys don't show, especially guys going for the NFL or who don't want to play at all.
  2. One of the receivers for sure, probably Matthews or Lawler. Can't see Bombers using Jones as dimeback and only having the two rookie kick chasers as backups for the secondary along with Wright who just got here. Hamilton is a heavy passing team, about 65/35 pass run even with Thomas Erlington. Likely more without him. I suspect we will see a lot of downs where the Bombers have the dime in and only 5 guys between DL/WIL/MLB until they get a feel for how Hamilton has game planned offensively (basically how much are they using Kalinic and a back vs Jones/Coombs and a back).
  3. Walker was pretty good on punts IMO...first CFL game too. Smart and could see potential for explosiveness.
  4. Sask and Ottawa are in the same tier. Ottawa's victories came against teams with combined 5 wins. Sask's victories came against teams with combined 1 win. Ottawa is ahead by a nose. With Davis at QB they are better than Sask.
  5. Williams was here with the Bisons before he signed with the Argos, couldn't get eligible. Argos found a loophole that made him a free agent, he enrolled at UBC his first year out of high school so his draft year was 2015 and he went undrafted.
  6. Hall has had a tough time with Masoli. I think the key is to disguise blitzes and provide lots of guys in coverage most of the time, force Masoli to be accurate, don't leave guys covering a whole half of the field allowing Masoli to just chuck the ball up and let his receiver find it.
  7. Brian Jones is the likely pickup IMO...he's played a couple games already this season for Hamilton so he's in shape, and he's a great special teamer.
  8. Doubt it. Big contract, lack of production. One big game last year otherwise lots of targets and not much production. Think he'd have to have a few good games before he'd be trade bait.
  9. I love the way Hall moves around Gaitor and Hecht. Really puts those guys in a position to succeed and negates Hecht's limited speed. I think they had significantly overestimated Loffler's abilities, and he would have been much better playing more like a Cover 2 safety, shallower and blitzing more like Hecht has been this year.
  10. Doubt we see a ratio change. They have the starters, even if Demski and/or Whitehead are down. Need to scrap heap a NI who can chase kicks and play field WR if someone else goes down. There's quite a few bouncing around. Brian Jones, Vandervoort, Lynch, Stanford (not sure he's any use on teams).
  11. Peters might as well have been in the stands for that play.
  12. That ball was in the air for 5 seconds....if you can't cover that you can't cover anything.
  13. Reilly statued there...had tons of room to step up and out.
  14. Lankford is not bright.
  15. Just about time to send Foucault to the trash heap.
  16. Panel trolling Rod Black.
  17. It's almost a different world though. People who have a cottage now really need to make use of it to justify it because a $120,000 house in 2001 is now $300,000. If you're paying some or all of the bills at both places and making even a slightly above average income you're already basically broke as a family. I think it's more of a factor for people in their 30s and 40s who were in their teens and 20s in 2001. A $600 mortgage payment has basically tripled when you compare Generation X to Millenials, and then like you noted earlier there's been pretty significant inflation on the cost just to get into the stadium....plus the Jets have returned which has taken a big bite out of that sports fan market share.
  18. How exactly does Edmonton end up with nobody on that half of the field when the reverse is going that way? Exceptionally poor reads by multiple players.
  19. League needs to get serious on the after the whistle stuff when guys are tied up or on the turf. Looks like we lost Demski and Whitehead both to very late hits on very vulnerable players already engaged/on the turf. No flag on either, see if anything comes supplemental. Both are guys who are very marketable in terms of butts in seats and TV. There's enough probability of guys getting injured in legal physical play, the league needs to get rid of the stuff that is not during play.
  20. Well in the end they got Jyles, Grant Shaw and a 1st. Bombers traded those 2nd rounders for 3rd overall pick.
  21. Probably both 2nd round picks in 2012 the Bombers held and something else.
  22. Probably Griffiths, but no news on Hecht.
  23. And really that spot on the roster is for chasing kicks. Griffiths at 295-300 isn’t going to do that, might get a few reps on D and play on return teams.
  24. Fenner is playing field corner though. I think he’s doing pretty damn good considering the coverages Hall plays with at least two blitzers on most passing downs. Grymes and Roberson are playing the boundary, they have less space to cover and more ability to make plays on the ball. Fenner almost always has to play on top of routes and can only cut off routes into the field, but the main job there is to not get run by.
