  1. The plays were there on O. They weren't made. I didn't like the D game plan. More passive than it has been in awhile and I don't really know why. Not talking about blitzes, but coverages. We gave away the first 5-10 yards most downs to the pass if he wanted it. Seems we worried about a big play rather than getting driven down the field, and we weren't aggressive on the ball. Coaching includes the roster, and I can agree with some of that. It's an absolute joke that we weren't bringing a guy in every week and just rolled with Whitehead as an example. We had no playmakers on the DL, and really none in the LB crew if you count Kramdi as a DB. There's lots of issues on the personnel side. I don't think you simply fire the coach that built the whole thing and think that it changes the outcome or even gets you close to playing in these games. We experienced that for 20 years after the board dismantled the Murphy regime. It's an easy rush of seeing the coach fired for some in the fan base for sure. The only thing I really don't like about MOS is that we're still playing like we're the underdogs. We had one year in 2021 where we felt comfortable being the cock of the walk, otherwise on D it feels like we're scheming to mitigate risk and not make plays.
  2. If you applied the rules that way on every play every single ref with his/her eyes open would throw a flag. It's a mistake and I'm sure when he watches it Ben Major would agree.
  3. This is insane. MOS isn't Dave Ritchie or Doug Berry. Top down they need to have some strong conversations on the personnel side about who is a player to help you win games and who no longer is. Bighill, Demski, Neufeld, Jefferson, Wilson, Thomas, Bryant should be somewhat obvious. If 4 of those guys are back next year we're doing it wrong. I think our personnel department is really struggling. As much as we're upset with our edge rush right now, I didn't see anyone in preseason who looked like a player. Receivers, pile of junk. Returners, pile of junk. We have a top heavy roster and we haven't balanced it out with great finds in a couple years.
  4. Collaros isn't going anywhere. But you gotta do a lot better of filling out that O around him. Like OL, receiver. Both a joke most of this season. We should have been playing in the West Semi but BC and Sask were complete voids this year. Why do we bring in a bunch of 6' receivers when we're a vertical team? We're throwing 50-50 balls at Ontaria Wilson and Wheatfall, not some 6'3 or 6'5 dude with a big catch radius. Sign the players your scheme demands.
  5. Neufeld just quits and Ceresna blows by to set that one up.
  6. Just kind of hilarious we still have Lucky out there. Like we probably have 15 touches of the ball left and we'll have him out there to return and do nothing when we need a big play every play.
  7. Think the problem is that he played most of this season with 1 reliable receiver between Schoen being down and when Lawler/Wolitarsky were down. Demski is a great 3-4 guy.
  8. Well...hope Schoen can stay healthy next year and buy a few more receivers. Maybe time for Demski to take a step down.
  9. Surely the CC is going to fix that offside call?
  10. Toronto 32 offside. Can we challenge that?
  11. Let the Command Center review it.
  12. Gotta say...I think our D coaching has been impeccable because there's a complete lack of playmakers in the first 2 levels of the D. But really didn't like our gameplan today. Way too worried about vertical stuff and just gave it all away underneath.
  13. Refs really inserting themselves for one team in this one. No calls down from CC to fix any spots or anything for us.
  14. First play with a glove on and let's throw it deep.
  15. He was scrambling for the ball...he fell right on it. 26 is standing right over it and not even attempting to recover. Ref took the bait. Great for 26. Ben Major is going to lose sleep for making that call when he watches it.
  16. Roll with Wilson. Collaros with a glove will be struggling to move it out.
  17. Massive hold on Haba on 2nd and 4 is a penalty too. Chose not to call that. If they want to find it, they can. That's my point. They won't call PI for a guy who quits on his route, but they'll call that interference on a guy who's scrambling full speed at a ball while a guy is standing over it. It was a terrible call. It was an unnecessary call. They are playing for the ball. One guy is moving, the other guy is stopping. It's incidental. If you're going to call it, you better be prepared to call a lot more than they have in this one.
  18. We would have had to blow them out. Close game all the "bounces" will go against us.
  19. What a horrific hold on Haba there. Same head ref who felt confident in that call on the punt block keeps the flag in his pocket.
  20. Yeah and if we do make a play, check the flag.
  21. Looks like his bicep just went.
  22. The only plays in the whole game where our ends rush upfield is when they shovel.
  23. You could parse the rulebook sure, but as an official you have to really be wanting to make that call to throw that flag. Like if he's actually making an attempt to recover the ball and we crank him, yeah throw it . If they called it like that every pass play would be 6 flags on the field.
  24. You hate the playcalls but score a TD on each down there with execution.
