  1. Andrews struggling with placement and hang time.
  2. Singer should have watched 8 Mile last night.
  3. Jake Kelly's brain can't keep up with his feet.
  4. Good lord. Short of catching it and handing the other team the ball I don't think a RB could run that screen play any worse.
  5. Pretty amazing seeing how bad Coan is. Like if you have no clue how to handle cover 0 on second and long what the **** are you out there for?
  6. They really have to fix the No Yards rule so returners at least try to catch punts. That being 15 yards is so stupid.
  7. Honestly have never seen Wilson enter a game (regular or pre-season) and look like anything but a raw rookie. He did well on short yardage, couple big runs. His preseason games have all been a series of being indecisive in the pocket, check downs and sacks. Low floor with not much ceiling. Was pretty surprised he was brought back for a third camp but still on rookie deal.
  8. Watched Thorne interview shortly after he signed here and he sounded pretty ready to move into coaching. Like wasn't counting on having a pro career. Wilson maybe not seeing progress for himself in working up the depth chart but also the game is the chance to win a job. Could be something personal too.
  9. The UFL has all the stupid wacky rules but is still borderline unwatchable because of the QB play. Like it's fully in the category of "I have nothing else to do so I'll stop on this" television when it's live. I watch some condensed recaps to quickly see the different QB's really and think of who might be able to play up here. Sad our league is going down that path instead of focusing on how to better develop players, especially QB's, in our league.
  10. Thorne probably realized he had a solid 3-4 years ahead of him to even get a shot as a starter in this league IF things went well.
  11. They are almost exactly alike down to testing numbers, height and weight. Depends if Tachinski can learn how to run routes well enough to get open, and catch the ball. With the current roster rules they could also dress him as the 3rd QB and use him as a receiver. Although a little grey on the Import/Non-Import situation if the QB subs in as the 2nd QB.
  12. Almost like it would have been a better pick to grab a receiver who can play instead of a guy who is basically a weak OL with some slightly advanced catching ability if the D ignores him in the 2nd round. IMO we are boned ratio wise if any of the following go down with significant injuries: Oliviera, Demski, any Canadian OL, Kramdi We basically don't have the Canadians on O to even absorb those injuries long-term if something happened. Like even if we wanted to flip to 4 Canadian OL...we don't have them in the building. Pretty close to the same situation at receiver. If we needed to flip to an American RB, our roster would be a mess.
  13. And he knows Todd Krenbrink
  14. Not sure if people realize it's 8 Canadians now....you can use the nationalized for one of those.
  15. You want the best players but you're fixated on cutting a guy just because he's played in the CFL before and is 26? Like I said....steaming.
  16. Steamy hot take on a guy who is 26 talking like he is 36. Should cut Cam Allen because he's played a CFL game before too. Who the **** cares if a guy is a "vet" because he's played before or a rookie? Put the best team on the field to win the next game.
  17. If Vaval is an every down player on D you basically need to dress a DI to cover that spot anyways because we don't have a Canadian who can play corner and punt returner is the most likely player on the whole team to get injured.
  18. He has a QBR in the 70s without Lapo and a QBR around 100 with Lapo. I'm no fan of Lapo, but I live in reality. Lapo made the guy's career. He was a limited QB. When he was gunslinging he was almost 1:2 TD to turnover ratio with significant fumbling issues on top of INTs. Having a QB who could threaten teams vertically gave us the win in 19 behind that, Harris and the D. We don't beat Calgary and Sask on the road without that.
  19. Yeah Matt Nichols lit the world on fire with other OC's.
  20. I truly don't believe MOS is deciding who is on the field in which packages on O or D. I don't believe that is how the team is run from everything we've seen and heard from everyone involved right up through Walters and Wade Miller. I believe he wields strong influence on who is on the bottom 1/3 of the roster for special teams purposes, Canadians and DI's. But of the guys on the roster, I believe from basically everything we've seen that his coordinators are designing the packages including WHO is on the field. I think if you want to glean something from our deployment on D the past few years it's that Younger doesn't trust rookies. Even most of the guys we've brought in off the street into camp or due to injury and rostered had extensive experience in the CFL. Younger will only reluctantly put a rookie on the field.
