Apodaca hasn't signed anywhere since but The Spring League (which is basically a veterans combine) and hasn't got a sniff from any other CFL team based on that film or his film here. There's some kind of red flag.

That's kind of the way it looks if everyone stays healthy. Demski is basically in the spot Flanders finished last season in. With either LaFrance or Augustine or both plus Demski we're pretty solid for backups on the game roster. The way the NI receivers are going there's lots of options. I'm hoping we're able to keep all of the rookies (Simonise, Wolitarsky, Petermann) for awhile. Petermann especially looked like a killer on special teams. I'd be scared to put any of them on the practice roster. Flanders might prefer to see if he can catch on somewhere else in that scenario. He'd have to agree to go on 1 game injured if he's not injured, same with practice roster. Could see Calgary being interested, plus there's always teams with injuries.

"Means nothing" Why do they do it then? Sure you don't judge the guys who have already made the team, but it's pretty huge for everyone else on both sides. And those guys are in the same spot. A guy like Streveler is in the running for best QB this week in all the pre-season games. That means something, because all those guys are playing the "scrubs."

So basically teams shouldn't have a training camp and pre-season then since half the players won't make their team. You really think there's no value in what took place on the field?

Ignorant. Playing against guys in the same situation as them, trying to make a team. Even competition.

Totally going to depend on special teams and pass protection. I think there’s more competition with Renaud, Miles, Rush and Gauthier with Augustine. Lafrance has been a very good special teamer for years.

Can’t say any QB in that game really looked that good. Davis looked more comfortable but he’s also in his 4th CFL camp. At the end of last season with us he was paralyzed in the pocket. Couldn’t get through his reads and get rid of the ball.

Shiltz looks like the shitz. No pocket presence at all.

Davis' deep ball is horrendous. He swung that ball below his hip in his throwing motion. Good way to fumble lots.

Davis was awful last year. One drive in preseason doesn't say much.

Sounds like a guy who knew he wouldn't pass a piss test.

I hope we have more snaps with legitimate safety(ies) over the top when we play match zones. Pretty sick of one guy getting beat and giving up huge plays. Part of that last year was also ineffective blitzing.
