Beauty. This guy will play for us this season.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Won't go off his own board.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Wouldn't be shocked.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
This film of Betts they are showing is not impressive, just running by guys, never uses his hands. How does it look when he plays guys he's not physically dominant over?

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Good, we can grab Desjarlais.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Edmonton probably takes Desjarlais and the top 2 OL are off the board.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Only 22 and 4 years playing full time in OUA, great athlete.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Damn, Tabbies take Gibbon. He's gonna be a good one.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Most posters on this forum could probably put up a better broad jump than Richards.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Bold move by the Argos in a draft with about 4 high-end OL, and ones from the OUA. I’ve heard that Richards has weighed more than 400 lbs in the recent past. High bust potential (as a football player, not commenting on manzier size). I thought they’d go for Desjarlais or Gibbon. Gibbon in particular is the type of OL Popp used to pick all the time, real athlete that just needs a bit of technical work. Hoping one of those two fall to 4.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Watch the ST one on ones from the Combine and inside blocking drills. Lenius-Dickey won't be Mike Sellers. He'll be Aaron Hargreaves if he has a good career. I think the Bombers might go for Julien-Grant, kind of a Cory Watson type, but more athletic.

Around the League: 2019 Off Season
Menard would be useful to us. Vandervoort will land somewhere. Hervey putting his stamp on the Lions.

Guaranteed they haven't talked about any of the actual things they disagree on, mostly monetary. That always comes last.

Around the League: 2019 Off Season
The league sent a memo directly to players that basically shows they are shook by the strike vote. Lots of threats going on, sure seems amicable. I'm in the middle of my fourth bargaining process as part of the bargaining committee at my workplace. Our employer has never communicated directly with the staff on bargaining. That's drastic.

Bomber News: 2019 Off Season
I think that’s about where he’ll end up. We’ll need another NI who can take some reps and there will be Nevis at nose and 3 import DE’s, one of whom will likely take the 3 technique spot on passing downs like last season.

Around the League: 2019 Off Season
The thing people don't realize is that they never made money. Even when they finished first in the East for 10 out of 13 seasons they were bleeding cash on operating the team. The Alouettes existence relies on someone being willing to eat losses and pay the bills. At this point it's doubtful they could even host a Grey Cup in Montreal with no stadium to accommodate it, so can't even get the cash that comes with that.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
The only reason to take Betts in the first round is cap space, and if that's an issue I'd rather trade the pick for future picks. I'd say Betts is 75/25 to never play in the CFL.

Such a **** move by the Lions to wait this long to cut a HOFer who has spent his whole career in BC. Gotta wonder if the CFLPA stuff factors into that timing. Also sure he was owed offseason money and wonder if the Lions/league will follow through. Bombers should check the price, might be good value.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Hate the CFL policy on this. Let them stay in the draft, suspend them. Now they aren't in the draft and can't play CIS this season either. I know they want a show of force in punishments but it's not like the prospect pool is all that deep. Punish but at least allow these guys to have a shot at a career.

Alliance of American Football
Sure, the AAF doesn’t have a case nor the resources to fight it.

The AAF contracts were void the minute they closed shop. Very basic principle of contract law is that if one side does not live up to their obligations the other party is not bound to their obligations. The AAF is not providing the opportunity for the players to earn money playing football, therefore contract is worthless.

BCFC has produced way more CFLers. Has any Rifle made the CFL directly aside from Jordan Matechuk?

Alliance of American Football
What is the AAF or trustee going to do? Initiate court action to stop someone from earning a living? The AAF is a non-factor at this point.

Mini Camp
Rasheed Bailey has been on NFL rosters since 2015 and has never played a regular season game. Bet he wants to play.

Around the League: 2019 Off Season
It didn't say who would be eligible based on territory, just that the league would compile a list. I'd hope they'd make the shift from the previous rules for junior players (who are now draft eligible) to a system based on where players played minor/high school football.
