  1. Nichols best numbers relative to league averages are on 9-19 yard throws. Also Jeffcoat is 5th in the league in QB pressures, Walker tied for 3rd in pass knockdowns.
  2. Also interesting, Nichols completion percentage on 20+ yard throws is 34.1%, league average is 42.8%, only Collaros is worse thus far.
  3. Bombers are 52.1% on second down. 3rd in the league behind Edmonton and Montreal. League average is 48.9%. Bombers are far above league average on 2nd and 6 or less, a bit below league average on 2nd and 7 or more (31.1% to league average 37.6%). 4th in the league at redzone conversion to TD at 62.5%, league average is 58%, behind BC, Ottawa and Sask. Our D is 5th on 2nd down but above league average, 48.1% for Bombers. Better than Calgary in all these areas btw which is kind of odd IMO.
  4. Who leads in wins by two scores or more? Kinda of a silly stat to use as a comparison. If you win every game 50-0 you're at zero, but it looks bad.
  5. Would be an easy and boring game if it were that binary and simple. Every team is running route combinations that have receivers at several distances and depths. Comes down to the reads of the QB and the amount of time he has to get the ball out (which determines the amount of time there is for receivers to run/complete routes), both perceived from pre-snap reads and actual from what happens when the ball is in his hands.
  6. Bet Franklin signs in the NFL and tries to make it there first.
  7. More reliable snapper, but still can't block. If he gets isolated 1 on 1 he's screwed.
  8. Groulx and Sorensen suck. I expect the pocket to be in Reilly's lap all night. Key to this game is contain and not letting him out of the pocket.
  9. I wonder if they still pee test the injured list. When a guy goes from a little soft, but athletic to looking like a powerlifter in the space of about 3 years you wonder. Wonder more when he keeps injuring weight bearing joints and tendons.
  10. Best part is where Ray says his shoulder is sore but pain free. Guessing he wasn't an English major.
  11. The big plays are nice. If we get first downs and score points I could care less about how they happen or how many plays it takes. Most teams are dropping 3-4 DB's into deep zones every play. Those deep shots are pretty risky and ending up in 2nd and long is a bad outcome. I don't believe Nichols is shy to take the shot when his reads take him there.
  12. I wouldn't. There's 3 NIs taking regular reps on the DL. Don't really have a use for a DI there.
  13. I agree with you. Something is wrong with the sound on those features. Also liked Lapo's better because he'd go over something in the current game.
  14. BC looks really discombobulated. I wouldn't read too much into either game of this back to back.
  15. The key is first down production, good first down play calls and execution. I like that we are running frequently enough to make other teams respect it, I like that the screen game is being featured, this is important because Nichols is not a quick release guy, most of the screens allowing our OL to tee off and our YAC guys to get loose, I like that we are running much less empty backfield than the first few weeks of the season and also split backs which holds the opposing SAM and WIL eyes to the backfield leaving more space for our receivers to work in the mid range game. Seems to me that avoiding the big turnovers against is key. Our two losses featured major turnovers that directly led to points. As long as they avoid those and produce steadily they have a great chance to win any game.
  16. Bomben is one of the most athletic OL you'll ever see. He played legit tight end in CIS and for Montreal.
  17. When you're pulling guys like that from 3rd tier arena ball you know you're in trouble. How was there no flag on Adams catch? All Unamba did was attach himself like a parasite into him.
  18. He's pretty good at blitzing, but he's not a defensive end so we need him to be able to cover and tackle in the open field.
  19. It doesn't matter. That's reality. The only guy who plays every down in the front seven is Leggett.
  20. Dave Mudge? He was brutal from 2005 on, as a Bomber and Alouette.
  21. I'm not sure Johnson had a job to lose. Sounds like he was beat out and the injury gave him a chance to stick around.
  22. Saw her Vegas show and she was almost robotic. It was kind of sad, really enjoyed her shows years ago. I've seen some great interviews with her recently and she' s been through a lot even recently.
  23. I want to see big plays that aren't aided by shitty and illegal blocks.
  24. Why the hell are guys so eager to leave their feet in the open field these days? Ellingson is lucky his leg below the knee is still attached.
