Actually down 10-6 and looking like they might struggle to put together a half dozen first downs in the rest of this game.

Well...week 1 was a fluke.

BC's OL looks like tonight is the first time they met each other. What a mess.

Depth Charts Week 1 Bombers vs Riders
JuranBoldenRules replied to Jpan85's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
At the same time our DL is looking a little thin. Ekakitie didn't look all that good and we don't have a DI there. Corney and Thomas need to play big roles. -
Only so many roster spots. I think he'd be good depth but I'd rather have Flanders on the roster if possible. Also need that H-Back type for run formations. I think he'd have a tough time getting on our 44 right now.
-
I guess a question too is if he gets on our roster. To me he'd have to take Normand's spot and to do that he'd have to be able to play that role. Osh seems pretty set on having a crew of special teamers in that LB/DB body.
-
Surprised nobody claimed him on waivers unless they all thought BC was bluffing.

3rd round is stupid value, stupid good. Julian Lynch was a 2nd round pick this year. None of the receivers taken in this years draft have anything near the production of Wolitarsky at the level he played at, NCAA power 5 conference Big 10. I'd bet if he went in this past draft class he'd be a 1st or early 2nd rounder.

Bombers select REC Drew Wolitarsky in supplemental draft

As many as they need. I thought once the season started the players had to wait until next CFL Draft. -

Good value. Is he coming up right away? -
Biggest Rivalry in the CFL: Regina Winnipeg

More likely he wanted to force Durant to make reads and avoid him getting out of the pocket where he can do a lot of damage. -

It's not surprising. It's Jones scheme, always has been. The idea is that they often show 7-8-9 guys who are potential rushers on any down and any number between 2 and all 9 are coming, you get to guess each down. Basically anyone could be running at the QB or dropping into a zone. -
Hamilton has been pretty meh for a lot of years. Got by in a crappy division.

I find the NFL struggles to be more interpretations. The CFL ones are like, did the ball cross the line, was the knee down, fairly black and white.
-
That rule changed after 2010 when we got screwed vs Montreal and Higgins apologized to us for the loss. So yes, you were correct 8 seasons ago.

Chapdelaine totally missed a huge challenge first Rider drive. Needed the 35 on 3rd down clearly didn't get it, not even close.

We get 5 newscasts a week on Global that are shot locally. Hope the FP doesn't go **** up soon.

How does our week 2 roster shape up?
JuranBoldenRules replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I don't see Flanders as a luxury. Build a winning roster. Yachison comes active, Neufeld hits IR. DI's are Flanders, Medlock, Jeffcoat and Fogg. -
Around the League - Training Camp Discussion
JuranBoldenRules replied to sweep the leg's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Taylor thinks Saskatchewan's receivers are too much. There's not really any facts to go on. Nobody has even played a game. IMO they have some pretty big problems. Their OL is patchwork (being generous) and Glenn has regressed in each successive starting gig from BC to Saskatchewan to Montreal. Now back to Saskatchewan. Their defense is lacking impact players aside from Jefferson and relying heavily on guys like Gaydosh and Steele coming off serious injuries, Edem who played his way off two teams, Hecht who has sucked forever. I just don't see it. -
It's a huge game of chicken. Will Vegas take Enstrom? Are they trying to extract a pick or prospect from the Jets? Have the Jets just accelerated the move away from Enstrom by a year and decided to sacrifice him to Vegas? In the big picture I think the Jets are ok to lose any of the exposed players. I'm kinda hoping they don't make a goofy deal to hold on to Enstrom.
-
The draft is 7 rounds.
-
Or because he's not quite good enough?
-
Probably not but why wouldn't they make the Jets think they might?
-
They should be able to build a decent, deep team if they want. Just from running a simulator on TSN the resulting team was deep in middle 6 forwards and 3/4 type D. Obviously they are going to end up with a funny unbalanced roster. Wonder if they might just pull a Redblacks on the 2nd Bomber pick and pick UFA's from some teams like the Leafs and Canucks who don't really have much in terms of useful NHL players to offer. They could also do something stupid like pick 5 goalies and try to play chicken with other teams who need goaltending help. I think the Jets will be sending a 2nd or 3rd round pick over to ensure Dano is the pick.
