  1. They should be able to build a decent, deep team if they want. Just from running a simulator on TSN the resulting team was deep in middle 6 forwards and 3/4 type D. Obviously they are going to end up with a funny unbalanced roster. Wonder if they might just pull a Redblacks on the 2nd Bomber pick and pick UFA's from some teams like the Leafs and Canucks who don't really have much in terms of useful NHL players to offer. They could also do something stupid like pick 5 goalies and try to play chicken with other teams who need goaltending help. I think the Jets will be sending a 2nd or 3rd round pick over to ensure Dano is the pick.
  2. Those guys aren't candidates. Thomas Miles has played and started. Is he not depth?
  3. Rwabukamba, Wayne Moore, D'Aguilar, Lalama, Ngoyi all guys I could see the Bombers having interest in for a PR spot sometime soon.
  4. That statement is bizarre.
  5. When passing is 80 percent of the game I'll take the half.
  6. If they ever want GM's to make news just institute a movement freeze. They all go nuts and blow their brains out for a few hours and then see what their teams are left with.
  7. See what happens with Butcher too.
  8. And in the regular season last year it was the exact opposite. Bridge couldn't do anything against us and dominated BC for a half. The good thing for us is that BC's OL still stinks. Jennings was getting rocked in both pre-season games. If our front is better against the run their offence won't have an easy time against us.
  9. Sad that 1290 can't do better. The guy has no more credibility than a random poster on this forum. No access, no sources, not an expert in any sense.
  10. You honestly think those guys are going to start as rookies?
  11. I didn't specify, but 2 of the guys listed IR or PR would fall there.
  12. Fogg, Leggett, Feoli-Gudino, Dressler, Flanders for kickoffs.
  13. A 6th round pick. Why do you think Butcher will be like Lattanzio? Lattanzio was a hell of a CIS player who is undersized, there wasn't much doubt he could play somewhere in the CFL, at least special teams.
  14. Butcher couldn't even figure out how to line up properly on Thursday night. I'd be shocked if he makes the roster and I really only think he sticks around if they think they can turn him around to OL. Doug Brown has expressed this as well, that Butcher "is an O-lineman."
  15. Here's my 5 minutes of thought roster. I think they might be after a DB type NI in other team's cuts if Conteh can't go for awhile. QB- Nichols, LeFevour, Davis RB- HARRIS*, Flanders (DI), NORMAND, MILLER, RUSH, Roberson (PR) REC- Adams, Dressler, Denmark, Stafford, FEOLI-GUDINO*, YACHISON, COATES (IR), RICHARDS (IR), Thorpe (IR), Williams (PR), Lankford (PR) OL- Bryant, Bond, GOOSSEN*, CHUNGH*, Hardrick, COUTURE, Foketi (IR), NEUFELD (IR), INTZANDT (PR), SPOONER (PR), BUTCHER (PR) DL- WESTERMAN*, THOMAS*, Nevis, Okpalaugo, CORNEY, Jeffcoat (DI), EKAKITIE, Johnson (PR), Green (PR), MAROUF (IR) LB- Leggett, Santos-Knox, Wild, HURL, BRIGGS, MILES, GAUTHIER, RENAUD, Wilson (PR), DB- Randle, Heath, LOFFLER*, Fogg, Alexander, Carmichael (DI), JONES, CONTEH (IR), Walker (PR) ST- REMPEL, Medlock (DI)
  16. Need to get Flanders on the active roster and use him. The guy is a weapon, also makes Harris more effective and likely to make 18 games.
  17. You aren't discussing football. You've developed some goofy narrative about O'Shea that you have no facts to support and you keep dropping it in every thread. Most reasonable forums would have banned you already for disrupting every actual discussion happening on the site. Anyways, I'm ignoring you now.
  18. Everyone is dependent on winning that battle. If you hate football and this team so much, why bother?
  19. Burke was worse. No doubt about it. His team was not even competitive. The only comparables to him in terms of horrific teams in modern times are Reinebold and Daley.
  20. Plus you can basically scratch the top 200 QBs on the continent off your list and then start scouting. Any QB who ends up in the CFL has significant flaws, it's just a matter of how they adapt to buttress around that.
  21. Great post. I've worked in a professional environment my entire adult life and disagreement is a fact of life. It's also a huge opportunity for learning, growth and innovation.
  22. Where is Yantz now? Given how hard it is to find QBs if he was anywhere near the talent your are proclaiming he'd have had endless chances to make rosters.
  23. Wonder if they are waiting on some cuts around the league for a PR QB sort of like what they did with Don Davis. Based on the numbers some teams have some interesting names could shake loose.
  24. That's a lot of roster spots for DT/MLB. I think Jeffcoat is a guy who ends up on the roster.
