  1. Fogg, Leggett, Feoli-Gudino, Dressler, Flanders for kickoffs.
  2. A 6th round pick. Why do you think Butcher will be like Lattanzio? Lattanzio was a hell of a CIS player who is undersized, there wasn't much doubt he could play somewhere in the CFL, at least special teams.
  3. Butcher couldn't even figure out how to line up properly on Thursday night. I'd be shocked if he makes the roster and I really only think he sticks around if they think they can turn him around to OL. Doug Brown has expressed this as well, that Butcher "is an O-lineman."
  4. Here's my 5 minutes of thought roster. I think they might be after a DB type NI in other team's cuts if Conteh can't go for awhile. QB- Nichols, LeFevour, Davis RB- HARRIS*, Flanders (DI), NORMAND, MILLER, RUSH, Roberson (PR) REC- Adams, Dressler, Denmark, Stafford, FEOLI-GUDINO*, YACHISON, COATES (IR), RICHARDS (IR), Thorpe (IR), Williams (PR), Lankford (PR) OL- Bryant, Bond, GOOSSEN*, CHUNGH*, Hardrick, COUTURE, Foketi (IR), NEUFELD (IR), INTZANDT (PR), SPOONER (PR), BUTCHER (PR) DL- WESTERMAN*, THOMAS*, Nevis, Okpalaugo, CORNEY, Jeffcoat (DI), EKAKITIE, Johnson (PR), Green (PR), MAROUF (IR) LB- Leggett, Santos-Knox, Wild, HURL, BRIGGS, MILES, GAUTHIER, RENAUD, Wilson (PR), DB- Randle, Heath, LOFFLER*, Fogg, Alexander, Carmichael (DI), JONES, CONTEH (IR), Walker (PR) ST- REMPEL, Medlock (DI)
  5. Need to get Flanders on the active roster and use him. The guy is a weapon, also makes Harris more effective and likely to make 18 games.
  6. You aren't discussing football. You've developed some goofy narrative about O'Shea that you have no facts to support and you keep dropping it in every thread. Most reasonable forums would have banned you already for disrupting every actual discussion happening on the site. Anyways, I'm ignoring you now.
  7. Everyone is dependent on winning that battle. If you hate football and this team so much, why bother?
  8. Burke was worse. No doubt about it. His team was not even competitive. The only comparables to him in terms of horrific teams in modern times are Reinebold and Daley.
  9. Plus you can basically scratch the top 200 QBs on the continent off your list and then start scouting. Any QB who ends up in the CFL has significant flaws, it's just a matter of how they adapt to buttress around that.
  10. Great post. I've worked in a professional environment my entire adult life and disagreement is a fact of life. It's also a huge opportunity for learning, growth and innovation.
  11. Where is Yantz now? Given how hard it is to find QBs if he was anywhere near the talent your are proclaiming he'd have had endless chances to make rosters.
  12. Wonder if they are waiting on some cuts around the league for a PR QB sort of like what they did with Don Davis. Based on the numbers some teams have some interesting names could shake loose.
  13. That's a lot of roster spots for DT/MLB. I think Jeffcoat is a guy who ends up on the roster.
  14. Radio rights have been kept separate from other media rights and have been left in team control. For what you are saying could happen to happen TSN would have to strike a deal with the league for all media rights. That kind of thing would have basically no benefit for teams like the Bombers, Calgary, Edmonton and Saskatchewan, who have significant local media presence and long-standing relationships with giant talk radio stations in their markets. As long as radio remains a significant medium this is unlikely to happen.
  15. The radio rights themselves have a nominal value. It's more of a marketing deal. Who is going to get the Bomber games, talk and information to the most ears? Is 1290 going to dedicate air time pre and post game to the Bombers once the Jets are playing? They pre-empted all Bomber coverage for anything Jets last year including the NHL draft and pre-season coverage. Personally I think CJOB is the better option.
  16. Apparently they can still force turnovers. Don't worry.
  17. TSN getting the radio rights would be bad news for the Bombers. Wait until their playoff game is only available online because the Jets are playing the Florida Panthers on the Sunday afternoon.
  18. There's only one backup I've watched in the past couple seasons pre-season or regular that's made me go, "that guy has franchise QB potential." That's Fajardo. I think he'll be the Argos starter by the end of this season, although Popp really loves vet QB's.
  19. Bob Irving called Mike O'Shea "Mike Riley" a few times already. And Doug Brown slipped Faith into "Fake." Oopsie.
  20. Worst team in the league has waiver priority. It's a blind bid. If there's a tie, 2 teams offer same round, the team with higher waiver priority gets the player and forfeits their 2018 pick. Priority is: Toronto, Saskatchewan, Montreal, Hamilton, Edmonton, Winnipeg, BC, Calgary, Ottawa
  21. There aren't many drills that don't heavily favour DL in camp.
  22. The way the ratio works you'd have to replace the injured NI on offence in game. We'd lose a ton of flexibility, don't really want to sit down Bond if Harris or JFG come up lame. Already lose some if we are dressing guys we don't really want to play in terms of DI's and sub packages. Another NI receiver who can play is absolutely necessary. Taking this discussion to "1k" receivers is absurd.
  23. Disagree. Fine if JFG stays healthy and performs. We have two "playmaker" spots to fill every down with NI's on offence. We have no depth. It's a problem. Presumably we'll want to use a DI and we'll need a NI to sub in. Presumably JFG or Harris will be injured at some point. They absolutely will not play every snap. Normand and Coates is all we got. Not good or deep.
