LDC/Banjo Bowl
They have done that this year. They are on pace to break the cap. They are all-in. Problem is that it looks like they are all-in with the wrong QB, but who knows how much the injury has affected that. How did they stand pat? They've signed more free agents than anyone but Montreal and re-signed everyone but peripheral players like Bond. If anything I wish they'd focus more on scouting and developing some imports. Popp is a brutal GM and has been for a long time. Buono too. Trestman hasn't won **** without hall of fame QBing. Stubler and Claybrooks could die at any moment.

But at a certain point it becomes clear that Nichols only leads to mediocrity, depending on the state of the rest of the league. We're clearly behind Calgary and usually behind one of Edmonton or BC. If Sask has a good year we're probably fourth. How many years do we want to do this on repeat? Kind of similar to Glenn that way IMO. When you get to that point that you continuously stall out in the playoffs (and maybe even in the regular season) you move on.

Quarterback can't sustain it right now. At some point they need a QB to make some plays against "other" good teams. You can beat the Argos and Lions (at home anyway) sleepwalking through most of the game. They have as many pieces as anyone else.

Looks like Gerald Rivers is in along with Gaitor. 3 DI's on D plus Medlock. They could definitely get Flanders on the roster if they wanted to. To me Wild and Gaitor's roles could be quite easily taken on by one of the Canadians. There's no roster crunch keeping him off. That DL and receiving group are thin as hell.

Practise Observations Aug 30, 2018
Disagree. Stopping the defense from making subs is huge. I'm not sure I'm very confident in their ability to run it though considering a basic pass and catch is an adventure right now.

Regular Season Bomber News & Discussion
Realistically he should just be starting to get back to full activity. Came back way early. Injured in October.

Around the League: 2018 Season
I wouldn't trade a 2019 first rounder for Burnham. Maybe a 3rd or 4th or conditional pick in 2020. He's just too much like Adams, spectacular in every sense, in the catches he makes and the ones he drops. Montreal used their pick in the supplemental so BC's pick will likely be in the top 2, and the Bombers own pick could very well be up there too. It's a real deep draft class too. I'd keep the picks if I'm the Bombers. They really need an impact NI or two on D.

1A and 1B Quarterbacks
That’s a little backwards from reality. The D has done a good job of getting off the field and even turning the ball over on the other teams side of the field in the first half of the last two games which were terrible losses. Ottawa game fell apart late in the second quarter when offense continuously couldn’t get a first down and kept sending the D out and pretty much the same situation I’m Calgary just in the second half. I mean both games they handed the offense the ball at basically midfield off a turnover, 8-7 game vs Ottawa, believe it was 9-3 in Calgary and out of those possessions we got a FG in Calgary. Those need to be TDs if we expect to beat good teams. The offense is barely moving and rarely scoring touchdowns until the game is over. This game is offense, it’s basically illegal to play D outside of rushing the passer which is something our team is not very consistently good at, and even then you’re likely to take a penalty for how the QB gets tackled. That win streak against the East was all D, Harris and Demski.

You’ve got the value backwards. The linemen are worth way more.

It would take a lot more than that. Those guys don’t come along all that often. Sooner deal picks.
