  1. Burke probably has a good sense of what Marcel Bellefeuille is going to try to do. And everyone in the stadium knows what Burke is going to do...hope his players can win 1 on 1 battles and do nothing to schematically to disrupt the QB's reads. Hopefully our OL can be decent, then it's just a matter of scoring when the opportunity presents itself, I think we'll give the Argos a decent game.
  2. Chris Randle, Demond Washington, Nick Moore, Bryant Turner are the 4 who have a shot at the top 50 list IMO. They tend to hugely overrate veterans, so Banks or Suber could slip in too. I bet if the players voted Denmark would make the top 50.
  3. FTFY I don't think we'll give up any long TD runs but plenty of mid range ones. Ray is going to have a ridiculous completion percentage too but it will all be nickel and dime stuff. This defence is built to stop the big play while forcing you to march it down the field, nothing Ray hasn't done before. I think you might be a little surprised, pleasantly or unpleasantly depending on the result, at the amount of pressure. I'm expecting a lot of zone, but a lot of blitzing in front of it.
  4. I think we know who wrote this press release, or bought the person who did lunch. What a title.
  5. Agreed.
  6. It looks like one of those cars chop shops sell where they literally weld two cars together. One grandstand in 1950's-1960's style, and one in 2010's style.
  7. It's too bad his loser mentality had to permeate our team and waste a season and a half of our time and money. Lapolice is probably an average head coach, we'll see what O'Shea becomes as a head coach, but at least they have the mentality of "what can we do to make this team better," not "ho hum, we suck" like Burke. Just a totally depressing, dark age in Blue Bomber history.
  8. Washington. But I believe Woods will dress. Washington is an unreliable yet occasionally spectacular punt returner, I really don't see him being the guy for that job in O'Shea's eyes unless something changes in-game, like Woods being injured. Not sure if you know this but...Washington has been fielding punts in practice. So,unless O'Shea suddenly doesn't like what he has seen from Washington in practice, I think it's safe to assume he will be used on punt returns during games. How many other guys have been returning punts? IMO, Washington is the next guy up if Woods goes down in game. Not surprising that he'd be fielding punts in practice, but I don't think that will affect our DI's or Woods status on the team.
  9. They also have two of the best backup QB's and their head coach made Adrian McPherson look like Doug Flutie in the past, I guess you could say the same about Collaros. The Argos are way ahead of everyone in the East at this point IMO.
  10. Yes, and where is Chad Simpson now? The guys who quit were called out last year too.
  11. Washington. But I believe Woods will dress. Washington is an unreliable yet occasionally spectacular punt returner, I really don't see him being the guy for that job in O'Shea's eyes unless something changes in-game, like Woods being injured.
  12. If Woods doesn't dress, who returns punts? If Will Ford ended up doing it I put the over/under on 2.5 punts before Mike O'Shea kills him for letting the ball hit the turf or bobbling the catch.
  13. Wait to see if they get permits to open in that state. IGF barely got the permits for the pre-season game last year, and they had to do a bunch of work in 3 days to get them, and that was a completed stadium. There's always little issues that crop up with the inspectors, and more chance of that happening with an incomplete structure.
  14. We aren't lacking veteran receivers, we are lacking younger imports who can improve and maybe become something more than Kelly or Bryant are at this point in their careers. I could understand kicking the tires on a guy like Bryant if say Nick Moore was out for a month or something. Bringing in Romby on his last CFL legs rather than using those snaps on guys who could be that third imp receiver into 2015-2016 is disheartening. Pretty safe to say the scouting at receiver was a failure when none of the guys who attended training camp were even good enough to keep on the practice roster.
  15. Lawless wouldn't even add the "don't you agree" to make it a question, he'd just make a statement and expect a response. I'm surprised nobody has told him to work on that since he's getting lots of air time on TSN, although the handing a player/coach a statement and expecting them to respond is becoming common.
  16. "So...uhh....Drew....uhh...have you noticed the amount of mosquitoes...uhh...since the last couple rainstorms...and...uhh...how do they affect your...uhh...passing game?"
  17. There's something weird about Hervey though. Like why wouldn't he give a brief comment on a local junior player they signed? He didn't have to hold a press conference, just take 30 seconds out of the day to talk to a reporter on a cellphone. Other stuff media complains about is stupid. Is there going to be some burning question they need Willy to answer this week? Put everything to him the one day he's in front of cameras and move on.
  18. No different from the Riders bringing in Geroy Simon last year... 2014 Bombers are going All in for the Grey Cup!
  19. from all reports i've read, dressler has been impressing the chiefs very much. Haven't heard much but also haven't really looked for much about Matthews. I think generally Matthews is less likely to return and more likely to wait for another NFL shot even if the Seahawks cut him. Dressler has some pretty deep ties in Regina and he can make top CFL dollar.
  20. But if they sign him you'll be okay with it. Enthusiastic even. Cute attempt to paint me with that fanboy brush but I've disliked rotten romby since his attitude Issues with Kelly (and by proxy the team and the other players n coaches) he was solid when he started here.. It's been down hill since he was here.. He's older, slower and less capable then when he was here and frankly, I always thought of him as a better brazzell.. So no.. No I won't be happy if he's the best we can do. I will not change my tune if he becomes a bomber.. For the millionth time, my opinions don't change on a player once they become a bomber.. If Im not a fan before, I'm not a fan after.. IE Kuale.. Always considered him a dirty player and slow for MLB.. I'm not a fan that he's our MLB.. at all.. I hear ya there SPuDs, was very underwhelmed with his signing but who else is there? I'm hoping he's keeping Henoc's place warm and when the Colts cut him in August and no one else is interested (hey, just my hope here) that he comes back to the bombers and makes his debut Labour Day or Banjo Bowl - it will be very easy to say to Kuale - "Hey, phone call, its Max Hall, he's looking for a roommate - interested?" I don't know, we just cut two guys who MOS admits we didn't even take a proper look at despite them looking pretty good in limited reps in Reed and Dell. Jaymar Johnson showed that he could get open quite consistently and make a catch, came back from a couple drops in the first game and was very good. Not to mention hundreds of guys south of the border who would love a call from their agent saying that a CFL team is interested. But instead we'll bring in a guy who hasn't been an above average import receiver since 2010 and has nowhere to go but down.
  21. Pretty sad that we're resorting to Romby Bryant. It's not like we have any injuries at IMP receiver, gotta do better in the off-season.
  22. I hope so. That free DD pop has been a boon to our experience at Jets games.
  23. Are they holding some seats specifically for walk-up? I ask because we moved our season tickets to a section that is light blue in that map, and our seats were the last two available in that section when we did that.
  24. I hope the fans on the field stuff is really organized. When they had it in the past it was a free for all and quite dangerous for fans (ie people jumping from 10 feet onto concrete), players and everyone else on the field.
