  1. I’d like to see more Case at receiver. He’s quick out of his breaks. Seems a lot more confident than most of the American receivers we’ve played this year.
  2. How the **** do they not call RTP on a late headshot but then pull the QB due to the spotter? How much more shame do they need before they do their jobs?
  3. Run something under that Wolitarsky route right at the goal line. Everyone is loading up on Wolitarsky. Johnson or Wilson could have been wide open at the 1 under that.
  4. Wolitarsky bracketed again. Can’t force that
  5. “Hands Down” is a better nickname than Pokey for Wilson.
  6. Wilson needs to catch the ball. Especially as a smaller guy. Can't be going at every pass with weak hands and bracing yourself with the ground or your pads to catch the ball. If he doesn't start catching with strong hands he shouldn't be here long. Need some ability to make contested plays in this league. Otherwise get good at returning kicks or something useful.
  7. They already had a **** load of LB's on. Didn't we have 5 American LB's on last week? There's really no one else on the PR. Assume we'll see Griffin get some looks.
  8. There might be 2 CFL players on this team who aren't dressed tomorrow. And that's about it. Mitchell, Alston...they won't let them play receiver. Mitchell was pretty bad in pre-season and as returner. We've got the two backup American OL. Jeremy Murphy. Samson, Karamoko. Whitehead and Grymes who are cooked and likely out of shape at the moment. Good thing we had 96 guys on the roster 5 days before our first regular season game. Paying dividends now.
  9. Shape is a factor too. He wasn't in any training camp or anything. Not really surprised he's basically getting his camp in now. Could just pop him on and hope the hamstring lasts. He's entirely not the kind of receiver we need though. Biggest issue right now is our QB's gotta be perfect, or the playcall needs to be perfect to get these guys open because we have a bunch of 5'9 guys running around with Wolitarsky bracketed and Clercius out there sometimes too. There's no space, no one who can make space, no one who can make a contested catch. Real easy to defend. Why the hell is Wilson there in pen? Guy has been awful aside from one game. Haven't seen a guy get more opportunity to fail since probably Nic Grigsby and his all time record of 0 tackles broken by a tailback. If we want to win there's no way in hell we have him and Whitehead on the field/roster at the same time. Bailey easily takes Schoen's spot. He's not as good but should be a pretty solid 1000 yard guy in that spot.
  10. Sign Bailey and dress him tomorrow. He knows the 2024 playbook better than at least 2 guys on the roster. We need a bigger body so bad. Wolitarsky is just getting bracketed. Wilson needs to get open and catch the ball, can't throw him open being so tiny and soft with terrible, weak hands. Not really sure what Johnson's purpose here is. Pretty sad we have to pop McGhee on. We don't even have a rush end around to pop on. Perfect game for that. Maybe should try to add someone off Toronto's PR in warmup.
  11. Grymes was cooked before our Grey Cup drought ended. Too bad they are recognizing the need for some playmakers on D far too late. Lots of free agents that would have fit nicely here. Guys in their prime. But you need to have the tough conversation we were apparently only willing to have with Jeffcoat.
  12. The quality of guys that are "NFL cuts" available between now and the end of the CFL season isn't great. With the PR expansion down there no one that is anywhere near making a NFL team is running up here for $75,000 CAD pro rated. By the time NFL cuts happen there's like 6-7 game cheques left even if they went right onto the roster so like less than $30,000 CAD if they get on the roster. It's also not like Madden where you can add a guy who is a 78 receiver but doesn't know what the **** is going on and expect him to play like a 78 receiver. I mean even with guys who have obvious talent we're seeing that coming out of a full training camp. The "bring in NFL cuts" idea for immediate help doesn't really hold water.
  13. Yeah way more direct, get vertical and test the coverage, kind of Grant style. The couple where he tested the field he had already beat the first wave and then cut. I'd like to see him get more reps on returns and O. No reason they couldn't roster both him and Smith. Should be looking to build a running/screen game around all threats and I don't imagine Case is any worse at receiver than Wilson, Mitchell, Johnson....we've had at least two of those guys on the roster for every game. Sometimes with play design tighten up formations and having more guys in backfield actually creates more space across the field.
  14. I can’t imagine Adams being in any kind of playing shape for November at the rate he’s taking shots. So far the only ongoing issue seems to be his ribs. That’s going to need rest soon and affect his ability to pass. But lots of danger taking 15-20+ hits a game of serious injury.
  15. No it's the one where he's on a post right in the middle of the field breaking away from the DB in stride (from top of screen to bottom) and drops the ball with weak hands. Really needs to learn how to attack the ball and not try to absorb it with his wrists down.
  16. I recall one that was a gimme TD right down the middle that Wilson dropped in the 4th quarter.
  17. The clock was running with 15 seconds on play clock. They could have snapped it at 0:00. That's the right play.
  18. I can't imagine a situation like there where we wouldn't be taking knees. They got the ball with 53 seconds, no timeouts. The clock was running with 15 seconds on play clock when they snapped it with 5 seconds left. They were either incredibly stupid or being excessive on the last play of the game. There's no way they should have taken that last snap at more than 0:00.
  19. The Riders got the ball off the turnover on downs with 53 seconds left and the Bombers had no timeouts. They easily could have taken 3 knees with the last one being at 0:00. They ****** it up. They took the last snap with the clock running at 5 seconds and 16 seconds left on play clock.
  20. I disagree with the premise here. They have been letting guys go when they priced out or got squeezed out by other guys increases, or when they retired. But they kept a lot of the wrong guys. Like put Bailey and Grant on the roster and drop Bighill and Alexander. Drop Alexander two years ago for a rookie when he was already crap and put that money into Casey Sayles. They completely did not take the issue of rush end seriously in camp. Same with receiver. What a pile of trash we had in there. No one ready to play by the time the season started of the 20.
  21. As I said last November, the teams that have stayed contenders for more than a few years at a time make those decisions. They basically could have kept Brown and the entire offense intact. Or drop Hardrick and go after 1-2 guys in their prime on D in free agency
  22. Also do you want someone who is an emotional idiot? Comes on and says "**** COLLAROS, can't stand this ****"...no coach is saying anything and none of them are saying anything critical or specific until they get to see film.
