Barnett is a wildcard to me. Kind of shitty he's getting on the field with 2 mins left. Know that they've been after him for a couple years. He was a guy with no passport (which is also another argument to bring back the March US spring camps). His sophomore and junior years in D2 were insane. Like take a 3 yard pass and run through a whole team kind of thing...also lots of vertical ability. Kind of a do everything guy, even punted and kicked off. Wouldn't be surprised if he was on our roster Week 1. But think he'll be on PR for sure.

Johnson looks good at receiver. Rosery looks good running the ball. Smith looked good running the ball.

If you've ever been to a practice you'll see Tait spending most of it staring back toward the concourse talking to another reporter or two who are also barely paying attention to the field.

The sad thing to me is a lot of the guys showing really well for us have entirely no shot to make the team. Like WIL backer. We have a 31 year old there who's had major injuries and hasn't played preseason. We have guys making plays at all levels of the field from that spot and they have no chance to make the team. To me that's a spot I don't spend money on and I let guys like this compete, bring in fresh guys who are all over the field every couple years into that spot.

Not sure about Rivers. Think he's a pretty easy cut IMO. Could see them keeping him because he's got pro experience. Haba, Garbutt, Upshaw are tough competition. Would have liked to see more pressure from Rivers because if he's opposite Jefferson he'll have to be the guy pressing into the pocket.

Vann is awful. Dude looks like he doesn't want to play football.

Don't think you can keep American Ford off the team.

Crazy they kept like 20 guys who are rookies and haven't even been on the field yet.

Do we use a fullback? They'll probably have Clercius or Wolitarsky come down the line, 6 OL sets.

Think MCI might be on PR. Haven't seen him much at all in any role. Might need some time.

Rosery has a good forward momentum, uses tackler to gain extra yard or two every time.

American Ford looks really good. And Fuller. Both have multiple passes defensed and have made solid tackles.

Well I don't think we'll have 7 OL dressed week 1 with Eli down so Hubert probably gets on in that spot.

Both guys we took out of Calgary's camp look like shite. Vann is the other one.

Hubert has already made more plays than Bennett.

I think Smith will be useful on O too. Probably a lot more than Grant was tbh.

Rosery too could be a factor if he makes the roster. Might be a better role player to cover off on O in case of injury than Augustine who is somewhat limited as a receiver and blocker. But you'd have them all on.

Another roster thought.... The amount of centre Dobson has played makes me wonder if Eli is done.

Question for me is whether any of these import receivers is worth a roster spot. Only one looking that way is Johnson so far. Could go with 3 Canadians at receiver, plus 3 OL plus Oliviera and not even need any Canadians on field on D. Of course you use those guys as role players and subs. You roster Smith as returner and backup RB, work him in on O a bit too. You roster Clercius and Murphy, you have Augustine and Chris-Ike.
