  1. Honestly don't care much about eating if the Bombers are in the game. If we lost that West Final I'd probably be eating ribs and watching NFL games.
  2. Really liked that 3-3 front with Kramdi and Alexander kind of playing more like US style safeties. Really hard to figure where rush is coming from and really easy to disguise coverages in that look. Really makes it impossible for QB to read much pre-snap. Which is ideal against guys like Adams and Fajardo. Also good at spying/containing scrambling QB.
  3. You can see the deficiencies in how teams attack us. When they started a drive with Hansen at end and Jeffcoat on the sideline they went no huddle so we couldn’t sub Jeffcoat back in.
  4. And how they gave up the lead by not being able to avoid giving up 15 ypc on Bombers first drive and never saw the lead again. Lions are basically where we were in 2018. Need some changes to get over the hump and QB big part of it.
  5. Montreal making the Cup has also just mind ****** Rider fans who now think somehow their season would have turned out differently with Maas and Fajardo. Really couldn’t have been a better result for my viewing pleasure. But...you don’t want to be the footnote in history with the picture of Fajardo standing there holding a Grey Cup. I can’t believe the line is only 6.5, but still need to take this seriously.
  6. The whole article basically explains how so many BC guys didn’t show, got injured, VA wouldn’t scramble and looked out of sorts. But no chance the weather had anything to do with it?
  7. Can we hear more about VA’s “career defining performance” against a 6 win team at home in a dome in a division semi?
  8. How did Chad Kelly’s left eye get stuck higher than his right eye after the first pick six? Having TSN constantly panning to his face was so uncomfortable m.
  9. I bet they add another rush end if Bighill is down so in some weird way we probably have a better mix in the front 7.
  10. Game plan should be quite similar in terms of containing Fajardo and making him read the field from the pocket. Need to cover returns and keep the ball on O, be patient.
  11. Any talk about Lions for league awards should come down to them flat out not even being able to compete in 3 of 5 games this season vs Winnipeg and Toronto ending up 1-4 in those 5 games. A team that is exceptionally not elite and doesn’t show for the big games. Best thing for us this season was losing to those phonies and having them celebrate like they won the Cup in Week 3 on our field. They didn’t beat a team with a +.500 record after that.
  12. TSN pregame Beirness says on the bumper preview for West Final "All 3 meetings this season were lopsided" "Neither team in the matchup has won at home" Both ridiculously false. Bombers beat Lions in Winnipeg and the game in BC went to overtime.
  13. I think Rose is the 2nd best corner on this team. And in comparison to Houston it's not particularly close. Houston also gives a giant cushion and isn't particularly comfortable pressing. Rose is a lot sturdier. BC will be isolating Houston. Will be a matter of our pass rush being disruptive.
  14. Yep...and knowing the difference that makes in our D and how key pass rush is vs this Lions O, rush end is the spot you need depth, and not like a body to put on the field but players.
  15. If Jeffcoat goes out we probably lose. If Jeffcoat went out and we had a Haba or Garbutt in, better chance to win. Hansen is a nice rotational filler guy but isn't getting a ton of pressure back off injury.
  16. If Demski can't go...Murphy comes on, McCrae moves to starter. If Bailey can't go...Ambles comes on. If McCrae can't go, and Bailey can't go...Ambles comes on and probably Winston Rose.
  17. They'd be able to put guys on to replace guys who can't go. I'm less worried about receiver and more worried about thin secondary and DL could bite us in the ass as a game goes on.
  18. That guy is basically a scouting intern. He's been nowhere near operating a football team.
  19. I don't believe it's any real conflict in the organization. Walters has been doing 24/7/365 type jobs for most of the last 15 or so years. It appears that he is ready to take a step back. That's pretty clear. His kids are both high school aged and his wife has been developing her own career. He seems like a guy ready to take more time on that end. The Hamilton stuff is just speculation given how that's lining up and potential for him to be more of the big picture guy in that front office than the take care of every detail role.
  20. Freezing rain and snow all week. 0 and sunny south wind for Saturday.
  21. The way Calgary played tonight on their front you could have thrown for 300.
  22. I don't know. Maier didn't make it to the 4th Q of this game last year. Think BC looks about the same. Calgary is pretty bad. Benavides is dressed like he's going to a Look Like the Biggest ****** contest post-game.
  23. BC receivers dropping more than a few in 21 degrees of pure comfort.
  24. Calgary can't rush the pass or pass protect. No need to respect their QB so real easy to defend. Really soft opponent for BC tonight.
  25. Pretty good sign you need to recruit some guys and not just sign guys over 30 cut by other CFL teams. Calgary has been dismal of late in finding any players aside from guys coming back from NFL or guys off other teams.
