Interesting article in USA Today about how difficult it would be for someone to intentionally deflate a ball: http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/patriots/2015/01/21/new-england-patriots-deflating-footballs-may-not-as-easy-as-it-sounds/22113343/

Do you think Jets will make any trades now?
Jacquie replied to Brandon's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Holy Moly!!! Look what I just found at the Jets website: http://jets.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=89839 Floyd, you'll see from that chart that a lot of the core of the team are signed for longer than 2 or 3 years. -
Next: Who is going to FA, who is not .... Priorities

They dropped Picard. That should free up some cash. The Riders want to re-sign Heenan, Dressler and Brackenridge and dumping Picard's salary isn't going to free up enough cash to re-sign all three. It's pretty well known that the Riders are in SMS trouble. He's already re-signed with the Ticats according to Drew Edwards. -
From what I've read there have been at least 3 jerseys thrown on the ice while play was going on. Those people deserve to be banned. BTW the banning is for all MLSE properties so they can't go to Raptors or Toronto FC games or go to Maple Leaf Square either.

Hall most likely to be new DC (Now Official)
Jacquie replied to Mr. Perfect's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
That or he has a bad habit of going to the bathroom on the ceiling. How are we sure If that video was not taken from one of the office in IGF? Because he said he was coming to Winnipeg next week. How do we know he wasn't in his office at Mosaic? And because they wouldn't have conducted an interview using Skype if he was in Winnipeg. I wouldn't be surprised if that was Mosaic. An outhouse in the stadium is considered indoor plumbing in Saskatchewan. -
Why? We already have the important detail: 11 of the 12 balls provided by the Patriots were under-inflated and all the balls provided by the Colts were inflated to specifications. You need the Goodell spin to tell you what to think and inform you how this isn't a black mark on the NFL? It's all there in black and white. The Patriots cheated. I didn't say it wasn't a black mark on the NFL. Regardless of what the investigation turns up, it will be. But there are questions that need to be answered. Were the ball inspected properly by the officials? Did the person who looks after the balls after the inspection tamper with them? If the balls were tampered with was it someone acting on their own or were they told to do it? Long shot but could there be an explanation other than tampering that caused the balls to deflate during the game. Why didn't the officials notice there was a problem with the balls until late in the first half? I was just reading an article that said the report won't be released until after the Super Bowl so that won't happen.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to wait until the investigation is over.

Winnipeg Outdoor Heritage Classic game could be postponed
Jacquie replied to Rich's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Why should the Bombers pay the entire amount if they were going to be used by the NHL too. Because its something they dont need? Its not like the game wouldnt happen without the extra seating. The extra seating is for the CFL not the NHL. If the NHL is using them they should pay some of the cost. Do you think keeping the temporary seating up for 3 extra months is free. -

No it took so long because the photographer had a problem getting the proper expression on Hall's face while he posed with his new Bomber clothes. Hall didn't realize how much better he would look wearing blue and gold - had a hard time getting a big grin off his face. -

Right now they are saying Perrault could be back after the All-Star Game which would mean he would have missed 2 games.

Do the Bombers REALLY sit on announcements?
Jacquie replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Saw this too.@bgranke: @garylawless where are the Bombers at with a DC? @garylawless: @bgranke i believe they have a deal pending with Richie Hall. just a formality of announcement Another thing to remember, the CFL Congress is here this week - Jan 20 - 23 with the Coach of the Year luncheon on the 21st. -
So according to you, a power play goal that went off the stick and then the skate of the Coyotes' player who was standing practically on top of him is Pavs' fault. and the third goal that was tipped past him by a Coyote who was a foot outside the crease with a bunch of traffic in front of him is Pavs' fault. Good grief. I doubt any goalie would have stopped either of those.
-
Two softies?!?! What game were you watching? The first goal he was being screened by 5 players standing within 2 feet of the crease and the second and third goals were deflected by players standing right in front of him. If you consider those soft goals I can't see how any goalie could ever meet your standards.

And 2 points it is.
