What does it even matter when they bother to announce it? Because the more it delays the more it looks that it's not a done deal. It's not a Jets gameday today, so what's the excuse now? I'm surprised by this. I thought he would get some interest from teams around the league. I really didn't see him resigning in CGY. It's a given that Walter will re-sign with CGY it's just a matter of when. It's not difficult to guess since Cornish is aging up and Walter will be the heir-apparent. Just like Cornish who bide his time before while playing as backup to Reynolds, Walter is doing the same behind Cornish. He has already re-signed with the Stamps.

Apparently Richie has a contract in hand. If we don't hear anything for the next day or two, then I'd start wondering. If he doesn't want to come here, I wonder what plan B is now? If I recall correctly, last year it took Etch 1-2 weeks from the time O'Shea said he delivered the contract to Etch until the time the official announcement occurred. Walters said it was the agents who were slowing things down. Next week we can start getting a little worried, but way to early now... I think the reason it took longer to get Etch's contract done had more to do with it being so close to the start of FA. Yes you probably know more about the Bombers internal negotiations than Kyle Walters. I meant the agents were slowing it down because it was so close to the start of FA and the players' contracts would have likely been a priority over a coach's. The Bombers announced Etch's hiring on Feb 20. The start of FA was Feb 11.

That's not what happened with Pall though. He was injured during TC and the Stamps didn't want to put him on their IR. They released him and told him to come back when his injury healed. He signed with Montreal and they put him on their IR.
