The Bombers (and every team) is always looking for players who can make them better. The PR expansion typically does nothing to help a team's short term prospects. A player coming onto the PR in October and making some kind of big impact in that same season? There probably is an example or two, but nothing immediately comes to mind. Over the long haul? There have been some great players who started their careers buried on the practise roster. Stevie Baggs was stuck behind Tom Canada and Gavin Walls for most of his Bomber career. Occasionally an injury will give one of these guys an opportunity before the following June, but for the most part they are auditioning for 2015 training camp invites. People familiar with the CFL understand that. Wiecek does not. Which is why he should probably head back to the track. There are 100 people on this site more qualified to write about football. Maybe more. That is the obvious answer but I think he was asking who is going to be OUR 'Weston Dressler' signing. Which shows Wiecek hasn't been paying attention. Other than Dressler, there hasn't been a big name return to the CFL since being cut.

I certainly would have liked the Bombers to have their first bye week sooner but I don't have a problem with Ottawa having the bye this week since their first bye was week 1. Hamilton having byes in weeks 3 and 9 bugs me and I blame Rogers for the Argos having byes in weeks 7 and 11. I think so as well. He can't play in the CFL because Cohon has said the CFL will be honouring the NFL's suspension in this case. The CFL usually only honours suspensions of NFL players under contract. He's a pyrriah. He's going to be charged, tried & go to jail. There is not going to be a trial. Quoting my own post because there's an update. EA Sports decided to make a new trailer for Madden 15 using Tiny Titan Chris Kirksey in response to the glitch in the game.

Yeah, where could we ever fit a loser like him in on this prestigious team? More people assuming Hall wants to play in the CFL this season. If he planned on returning he would have been signed by a team by now. It's obvious he hasn't given up on catching on with another NFL team. Chris Matthews doesn't want to play in the CFL either, but we at least know the Bombers are interested if he does plan too as opposed to ''where would he fit?'' in regards to Hall. So O'Shea doesn't want to publicly dump on his players by saying how great it would be to get Hall back to replace them. As for Matthews, I don't recall seeing any direct quotes from the Bombers about him - O'Shea might say the same thing about him if asked directly.

On Saturday? Were they wearing them at the fan day or did you mean Sunday? And how do our regular jerseys look like the Argos brand? The royal blues are still our 3rd jersey. The signature ones will be worn a couple more times tops and then we will never have to look at them again (except on people who actually bought and wear them). Having said that, bring back the royal blues as the #1 jersey. And speaking of Royals, William and Kate are having another baby.

Personally, I think emotional and physical fatigue is a factor of late. O'Shea would never use it as an excuse but I really think not having had a bye week yet has something to do with it even if it is just not having time off to let their bodies rest and heal.

You know what the worst part is? It means we're probably going to get Black and Forde tomorrow for the Banjo Bowl. Blech. I think it will be Cuthbert and Suitor for the BB. With 2 games tomorrow and the early game in the east? Unless they have Gord Miller and Matt Dunigan do one of the games all signs point to Black and Forde taking the quick flight to Winnipeg to do the 2nd game tomorrow. Cuthbert and Suitor do the LDC and Banjo Bowl most years.

That's what I'm thinking. Wasn't a devastating hit - his shoulder is no good. He's done. It's too bad as I liked him for the league, a real talent. I think having a 325 lb o-lineman fall on your shoulder could be considered a devastating hit.

I hope Lulay's injury isn't as bad as it looked. It looked like his own o-lineman is the one who did the damage.

I don't know. I think if he was using coke when he was here that someone would have known about it and people wouldn't be so shocked by it. The ones shocked by it are the fans, who would be the last to know. You can't tell me no one on any of the CFL teams are doing those drugs just because we don't hear about it or they don't get caught. It isn't just fans who were shocked. People with the team have said they were shocked by the news as well.

IIRC, Bluto was pretty certain the renovations to BMO Field would still include making the facility usable for the CFL.

According to a tweet by Lawless, Matthews is waiting to see if there is any other NFL interest before coming back to the CFL.
