Jacquie replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Actually a funny tweet by the Premier of Saskatchewan: Brad Wall ✔ @PremierBradWall Good news: @WestonDressler7 gets free paninis/blizzards if he signs here. Bad news:could end up looking like another star receiver Dan Clark -

Not sure that's enough, KBF.

Saw this on Facebook... the Winnipeg Police twitter feed had this picture:

According to the press release from the Bombers, "the Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer position will not be refilled."

Very similar to the Lions jerseys.

I bet they never expected their BC billboard to garner national attention and they probably had a few of these printed up for every CFL city beforehand. They expect everything they do to garner national attention.

You do know that alouette is French for lark as in the type of bird hence the feather look on the shoulders and on the pants.

I'm surprised they are doing a take-off of a TV series about life in a prison all things considered. *cough*TajSmith*cough*

Chiefs release Weston Dressler(Updated: Now signed by Riders)

I think they learned with Fantuz that money trumps any loyalty to a franchise. Fantuz wanted to play at home. What comments about the Bombers ? That the Bombers had nothing for him to pick from and pretty much took Kohlert because the league told him he couldn't pass ? Desjardin made a comment at the expansion draft about wanting to decline using his last pick of Bomber NI players which people interpreted as his taking a shot at our team's NI talent. Personally, I think he was referring to the lack of Bomber NI players under contract for this season since he did say many, many times that he wasn't going to pick potential FAs and the fact the Bombers had a LOT of NI players who were potential FAs that off-season. -
Nothing you've posted addresses the QUALITY of this years officiating. If you're satisfied with it, we have nothing more to discuss. There's always room for improvement but that doesn't mean the officiating is as bad as you claim it is. And until you are objective about the officiating, we have nothing more to discuss. Sorry the facts are not objective enough for you. From TSN.ca: Last week in the CFL the penalty flags were flying. In total between the four games played there were 110 penalties for 958 yards, which is the third-highest total in the last 20 years. Obviously, that is way too many penalties. It disrupts the flow of the game, extends the length of the game, and is flat out hard to watch. Since you're blaming the officials only for the increased penalties then you are obviously not being objective. You like quoting Suitor's blog so much but you keep ignoring these parts:

Alex Hall and Linden Gaydosh released by Panthers
Jacquie replied to Jpan85's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
From going over post-game stats from last season at CFL Media, when Hall was with the Bombers he went offside 10 times however 6 of those penalties occurred in two games (3 against Calgary, 3 against Hamilton) and 4 of the offside penalties were declined. I also saw that Hall had been called for illegal interference but the penalty was offset by an Edmonton player also getting called for illegal interference (same game as the roughing the passer call). And there was an unnecessary roughness penalty in another game but that too was offset by an Argo also being called for unnecessary roughness. -
To The Free Agents Who Refused To Sign Here. Go Stuff It
Jacquie replied to iso_55's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
No. Is this about players who were dropped from our neg list because they refused to sign here? -

Where did you hear he was hurt? He wasn't on the 1 game IR for Sunday's game. -

Yes. He was taken off on a cart. Think it's his knee.

Anyone who says NBA officials are better than CFL officials doesn't follow the NBA at all. 1) The League/BoG/Rules Committee instructs the officials how they want the rules interpreted. And how they want the rules interpreted doesn't always correspond with how fans interpret the rule book. Heck, I doubt the majority of fans have read even part of the rule book. 2) Players need to be more disciplined. I wish there was some type of breakdown on what type of penalties are being called more often. I wouldn't be surprised if objectionable conduct calls are one of the ones that are way up and if that's the case, then it's on the players, not the officials. 3) You could show the same play to a group of people and the chances of there being a consensus are pretty low. Someone is always going to complain about a call/non-call. 4) Officials don't have the benefit of slow motion replay. I was just looking at that play from the ESF last season and PI may be obvious in slow motion but at game speed it's a lot more difficult to judge.

CFL officials are no better or worse than officials in other pro sports leagues.

The last sack? What facemask?
-
He needed 367 yards going into the game and had 277 yards against Edmonton. For those bad at math , he needs 90 yards more to reach 50,000.

CFL investigating EJ Kuale - obscene gesture after Ticats game
Jacquie replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Looks like the League has sided with Kuale's version - there has been no discipline announced to date. -
Nice to see the Argos coming on and making a game of it. He's been playing ST all season.
