Don't forget Nelson Skalbania's disastrous ownership of the Als/Concordes. He brought in a bunch of expensive NFL guys (most notably Vince Feragamo who failed spectacularly) and the team was a disaster. You can lay the blame for the franchise folding at his feet. This is the shirt I'm talking about: I think it was Markus Howell who had on a long sleeve version that had that pattern on the entire sleeve.

There have been a few guys on the sideline who are wearing shirts with that pattern on the sleeves.

Another reason to like Kyle Walters. I think it was Duane Forde who was saying there have been some talk about changing the rules for junior players and possibly having then in the draft or as a separate draft. It would certainly be a lot fairer than the current system.

If a junior player has plans to go to the CIS or NCAA he isn't going to sign a contract period. It would affect his eligibility - the CIS rules are different from NCAA but it would still affect the player wanting to play CIS football. And signing a junior player is like signing any other player (ie roster spot, salary cap, etc). If Durie and Owens are back Ray will have something to work with.Durie doesn't come off the 6 game IR until August 22 and Owens comes off on August 31. Those are max. times, if they're ready to go before then they can play, just like Lulay in BC. Lulay didn't come off early. He was scheduled to come off the 6 game IR on August 7 and the Lions game that he was dressed for was on the 8th. Durie and Owens are still on the 6 game IR. Durie can't start practicing until August 13 and Owens the 22nd unless they are taken off the 6 game IR early which they haven't been.
