  1. Or 0-6, or 1-7. Nobody comes back from that. Everybody knows it. Especially Wally. Just wondering Nate but if Braley won't tolerate firing a HC with mult years left on his contract, then what is in it then for Wally to step into? He signed Benevides so he totally effed up. It's on Wally. How does anyone know whether Braley would tolerate that or not. He's been described as a hands off owner by Buono in the past iirc.
  2. Didn't Burris do that last season?
  3. Did Allen just drop that ball. It didn't look like he was even hit when he fumbled.
  4. I can't see Austin getting fired anytime soon especially not mid-season. It's one thing to replace a HC like that but the GM and HC... I don't think so.
  5. I would be surprised if Cuthbert and Suitor didn't do the Riders game.
  6. You forgot to include the fumble.
  7. I wondered that too. But I assume you can't lose possession on a time count? At the end of the game it was 3rd down so they had no down to lose. You're right. From the rule book: It sure seems like you're arguing the call.
  8. Is that the attendance they announced? CFL.ca has the attendance at 27,553.
  9. Maher didn't ask to leave.A bit different. He was trying to make the team so missing the second pre season would have put him at a disadvantage.Turner is on the team. Seems Maher should have asked to leave. Was released a few days later so now he missed the birth of his kid AND doesn't have anything to show for it. Seemed that backfired How does he have nothing to show for it? He's playing for the RedBlacks based more on his performance here than in Ottawa.
  10. I'm not sure how this would be a slippery slope since the NFL and CFL reognize each other's contracts so an NFL team can't contact a CFL team about releasing a player under contract.
  11. Maher didn't ask to leave.
  12. You can choose a QB to score a rushing TD.
  13. From the beginning it has always sounded as though MLSE didn't really want the Argos, just use them to get the BMO face-lift (which is now happening without the Argos involved) and eventually bringing the wet/pipe dream of the NFL. Braley has absolutely zero leverage in this, he wants to sell, nobody wants to own. IIRC there was one radio interview that I heard Commissioner Cohon even stating that they were begging/trying to convince MLSE to buy the team. Honestly considering how crappy the potential lease agreement is and knowing how much Rogers loathes the CFL it sucks that MLSE is the only option, because I could see the Argos dying quickly under them, although they're dying as is anyways. Perhaps the key is for TSN to acquiesce and give Rogers the rights to broadcast all Argo games. Wouldn't be that bad a concession, would it? Of course, Rogers would have to pick up the cash difference lost by TSN giving them Argo TV rights. There is absolutely no reason for TSN to give Rogers anything. FYI - Bell Media is a part owner of MLSE just like Rogers. No way would the League agree to something like that and, from a practical, technical and every other aspect it couldn't be done even if they wanted to do it (with either Rogers or Leafs TV). Besides, Rogers has made it very clear they don't want to broadcast CFL games.
  14. Higgins is a very good coach but if you have a wannabee head coach GM like Popp who meddles then there is a big problem.I bet it was Higgins who wanted Worman gone probably a philosophical difference. Wonder if Crowton is available???If Higgins wanted Worman gone, then why was it Popp & not Tom talking to the media?: Higgins isn't the kind of guy to hide behind Jim Popp or not address the media if the decision was his. He was a straight up guy here in Calgary when he was HC of the Stamps.Cause that is one of Popp's jobs. Usually when a coach comes in he gets to pick his own staff. I don't believe that happened with Higgins. Pretty sure Higgins hired Worman. Higgins and Sweet were but the rest of the staff was picked by Popp.
  15. I'm sticking with Nick Moore.
  16. I guess the ST giving up a couple big returns and TD effected the score.
  17. Crapigna is not listed in the Stamps' list of players who were released. Crapigna is not listed in the Stamps' list of players who were released. He is on their suspended list . Check again. I know he's on the suspended list. You're the one who said he was cut. Players who are cut don't go on the suspended list.
  18. Have you even bothered to look at any of the pictures of the flooding? There are highways closed because of flooding. There are a number of communities that have declared a State of Emergency. Brandon's been hit by the same storm and have also declared a State of Emergency. Here's an underpass in Regina: And a picture outside Mosaic Stadium: Here's a video from Regina showing flooding: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaVJumG_IOA#t=29 Here's a picture at Brandon Airport:
  19. From the twitter feed on the sidebar: Wow...just wow.
  20. At what point would you take Durrant out of the game?
  21. I'm not going to judge Collaros in this game yet. Seems to me when he was with Toronto he had a pattern of being crappy in the 1st half and good in the 2nd half.
  22. Tailgating looks to be out: The field looked fine from that feed of the radio pre-game show but then again it's hard to tell.
  23. I'm pretty sure the CBA bonus is not part of the SMS. Pot meet kettle.
  24. Thanks. Got that one saved to my computer now so I can enjoy it at my leisure.
  25. I think it was the dropsies Bowman suffered here that had more to do with Bowman's departure.
