  1. I wouldn't include Collaros in that group - he's making less than what Burris did last season so they saved money signing him. Has anyone heard what Laurent and Lawrence signed for?
  2. Darrin Bauming posted this on Twitter:
  3. Penton wrote in today's Sun: He does use the word "could" though so it seems he isn't sure of the numbers.
  4. So far there's no indication they won't be practicing.
  5. All teams' rookies camps are three days. Saturday was the days the veterans arrived for physicals. What makes you think the Bombers don't. In May, they just held a free National Coaches Certification Program clinic (Bombers paid the fees for all coaches) at IGF. The Bombers are very involved with Football Manitoba. Also in May, Wade Miller and Kyle Walters were coaches for this year's Seniors Bowl (high school) and they were running practices. There are players (current and former) who do football clinics in the off-season (as a business as well as for free). Thing is the media doesn't report on stuff like that or if they do it's just a small blurb.
  6. It's great that they went out to Drumheller but rookie camps ended on Friday so they didn't end it early.
  7. The news breaks are conditions of their license. I doubt the number of commercials they air is any different from any other station that is not commercial-free - it just seems like more because of the news breaks.
  8. He was still under contract when he was let go. From the FP:
  9. I'm not positive but I think I read they took out some existing seating and replaced it with the loge seats so I don't think it effected the concourse.
  10. Considering you can get the Sun for free from their boxes or on the bus from Monday to Friday, it seems dumb to charge for it on their website. Having said that, this thread sure has gone off topic fast.
  11. That's unfortunate. But his agent also said burmi wouldn't go to the K. So it could be a negotiating ploy. Burmi has no leverage. He either plays for the jets or he doesn't play in the NHL. That was a different agent. He had a North American agent who said he wasn't going to the KHL. His Russian agent is the one who got him the KHL contract.
  12. It didn't go to a council vote. There really hasn't been an answer given for why it didn't or why the City pulled their proposal other than the BS thing about the Bombers making a profit last year.
  13. One of the papers said Transit has to be involved because it's a condition in the agreement that was signed to get IGF built.
  14. Probably because he's wearing a Canucks shirt at the start.
  15. To those who made it to rookie camp today, I salute you. I can't handle the heat like we had today so I admire you dedication.
  16. What a great first OT period in the Kings/Hawks game.
  17. I think you need to clear your cache because it was upgraded.
  18. Argos announced yesterday or day before that they have signed all their picks too.
  19. What the celebrations look like for MBB's first anniversary:
  20. Happy Anniversary! Thanks to everyone who makes this site great.
  21. Darcy Oake has advanced to the finals of Britain's Got Talent. Here's his performance from the semi-finals:
  22. Yeah they are a sect of the Mennonite faith. If you go to the Steinbach Mennonite museum you'll see the migration maps from Europe to North America. As far as I know there are no Amish people in BC or Manitoba. There's an amish settlement (is that the right word?) between Gladstone & Neepawa. I think you mean Hutterite. Never heard of Amish in MB. but plenty of Hutterite colonies and of course lot's of swingin' Mennonites such as Vic Toews. No, it is an Amish community. http://www.cbc.ca/m/news/#!/content/1.628652
  23. That's a NFL rule. The CFL rule says:
  24. Yes. It was the first one established outside Ontario.
  25. From an article from last year at the CFL website: Yantz was actually at the Lions TC last season while Ben Rossong was at the Bombers TC.
