  1. Term length is 3 years. Members can serve only 2 consecutive terms, unless they are a chair, vice chair, or past chair. Then they can serve 4 terms back-to-back (12 years). It is unclear when Asper's term began but I believe 2012 is correct, making 2024 the last year he is eligible. They can only serve the additional two terms if they remain Chair, Vice-Chair or Past Chair during that time. If they don't then the limit is two terms. Have you ever met Brock Bulbuck? I have and he's the farthest thing from a slimebag as you can get. He's brought in more positive changes to the BoD than any other chair (ie term limits, public nominations, etc).
  2. Here's a link to the map at the Bombers website: http://www.bluebombers.com/single-game-tickets There are Entertainment Loges at the back of corner sections 115, 122, 137 and 144 as well as larger ones at the back of endzone sections 140 and 141.
  3. The changes they made for navigating the site are good. Overall I like it.
  4. From the Bombers website: http://www.bluebombers.com/article/bombers-welcome-qb-yantz
  5. you know you could at least put quotes around "building a fitness facility that the Bombers can't use" so we know you're being sarcastic.... I'm pretty sure you know I wasn't being sarcastic. The UoM facility was open before the work-out area in IGF was finished and the Bomber players weren't allowed to use.
  6. But the Feds didn't give money to Winnipeg for the stadium. Their contribution went to building the fitness facility on campus that the Bombers can't use.
  7. The City of Winnipeg says no transit discount for Bombers: http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/football/bombers/No-Transit-discount-for-Bombers-city-260767131.html That's not quite what Miller said before. They seem to have left out the part about renting school buses.
  8. I hope the City of Toronto and Province of Ontario will reconsider their loan/grant to MLSE if they go ahead with changing the plans.
  9. How are other teams doing with signing their draft picks from this year's draft? Lowell Ulrich of the Province wrote this late last week: http://www.theprovince.com/business/Rookie+camp+missing+Lions/9868651/story.html
  10. You think he's being paid that much since part of the proceeds goes to charity?
  11. Just to break up your serious talk for a second, I thought you guys might like this:
  12. Scheifle's injury was likely the reason Jokinen wasn't moved at the trade deadline. For a team making a playoff run he would have netted the biggest return to the Jets by a long shot. We would not have gotten much for Seteguchi or Montoya, but a veteran former all-star center? Chevy had to take the tent down on that one unfortunately (although I still think he'd have decent value as our 3rd line center next year as long as he's getting 3rd line $). If Buff is viewed solely as an asset then I'd want a large return on him. His skill set is unique in the NHL; his value is tremendous. If a team isn't offering us something that will make our team better now or significantly better in the future, why should we make a deal? Where did you hear talk of Jokinen possibly being traded at the deadline? All of the talk I head was about moving Seteguchi.
  13. Good for Co-op to step up with all of these products.
  14. When the team announced they would play in Guelph for a season, didn't Bob Young say there wouldn't be an increase in ticket prices for the Ticats first season in the new stadium.
  15. "Oh no, it's the Fashion Police! I surrender!"
  16. How can anyone be a "close second" to a player who was "by far the best"? Saying he was ""by far the best" indicates no one was close.
  17. Really, road griller. You liked your own post. There are still a lot of players who have off-season jobs in their fields. A supportive employer is definitely necessary although some players do have their own businesses.
  18. So what would you like us to put on your grave stone?? Blue till the end.
  19. Proust gets a 2 game suspension for his hit on Stepan and Carcillo got an automatic 10 game suspension for abusing an official.
  20. I saw a tweet by Dave Naylor and he was saying Ed Molstad is the same lawyer the CFLPA used for the last CBA negotiations when revenue sharing was given up by the PA.
  21. He also said no teams were over the cap iirc.
  22. Looks like standing room only?!? That's for the press.
  23. Saw this posted at the official board: Also:http://bluebombers.com/article/2014-season-ticket-member-fan-fest-ticket-pickup
  24. Tried it on my iPhone using Google Chrome and Safari with no problems either.
  25. I believe some person he got into a twitter fight with called him a CFL flunky and he made the big mistake of not putting that in quotation marks in his tweet which caused more people to go off on him.
