Except the Jets were well over the cap floor for that season.

[MOVED] Lyle Bauer back in Manitoba - Politics, not football

Making fun of a person's disability is really low. -
No "I think" or "should" - the players who were recalled from the Ice Caps will be returned for the playoffs.

From what you read? Well, since we can't see the damage your take means nothing as the media hasn't been allowed in to verify whether there's a foot or an inch of water in the suites or visitor's locker room. I was referring to what that poster at RiderFans said. Trusting some posters at Riderfans is like entrusting me with Lyle Bauer & Mike Kelly's fate. Its not gonna end well. Iso is 100% spot on when he goes to Gorbachev's old phrase about doing business with Reagan. "Trust, but with verification!" What is clear is that taxpayers are no longer stake-holders in the football club. Funders only. A stake-holder deserves an explanation. All others just get a stand-off. That's funny. Based on your responses in the thread there, you sure seemed to believe him.

Kitchon turned 21 in June, 2013 so iirc he wasn't eligible to play in the WHL. Lipon turned 20 in July, 2013. AHL was the better place for Lipon to be development-wise.

Personally I think the use of the word "flooded" by Friesen is a misrepresentation. From what I read there was an inch of water in a small area (relative to the size of the entire stadium) and that is not flooded in my books. Heck, I had more water on my floor when I had a malfunction draining a water bed back in the 80's when I was moving out of an apartment.

Well it's not quite as simple as that, a coalition has to go to the governor general and convince him that they can govern rather than calling an election. Similarly prorouging is not some evil sin either, hell Chretien did it a ton too, Harper asked the governor general to do it, the governor general has to agree, and that's that. There's nothing scandalous about it. Both sides were using the tools at their disposal to play the game. IIRC Chretien did it once, not a ton. -
They did things right until this story. They also got good press until this story. Which shows that Friesen will crap on the Bombers no matter how much goodwill they build with the media.

He's their OC.

You forgot the recent Dimitri Soudas scandal and firing, the outrageous amount spent on the G8 and G20 conferences including all of the money funneled to areas of Tony Clements' riding that had nothing to do with the conferences, the Helena Guergis scandal, proroguing parliament twice, etc. Proroguing parliament was 100% justifed. It's a legitimate tool and he used it to prevent the unelected left from essentially comitting a coup of the federal government. Look, the people can make their voices heard by voting. And if the lefties dont like Harper, they have a choice - win an election. They had the option of trying to steal government and Harper had the option of preventing it. He was right. And the people went on to back him be re-electing him so its a moot point. He's done it 3 times (2008, 2010 and 2013). Care to attempt to justify the other two times? -

How have the Bombers shown disdain to the media since Miller, Walters et al have been in charge. They've held more press conferences since December than I think Mack had in his entire tenure as GM. They have been more accessible than previous regimes.

The user name of the person at RiderFans who posted about water damage at IGF on Monday. After reading his post it sounds the same as what Friesen says his source told him.
-
Riderfans is where I saw it. Based on his post, would it be safe to assume Bearman was likely Friesen's source. What type of rep does he have?
-
Friesen wrote his source contacted him and said he had no axe to grind with the Bombers. If that were the case he would have contacted anyone but Friesen since he felt such a need to contact the media. Or maybe he did but no one else would bite.
-
I doubt as much as Wiecek was implying. Walter's said the scouting budget was basically the same as before, not that the Football Ops budget was the same. Mack's salary wasn't part of the scouting budget and iirc he was said to be the lowest paid GM in the League. I also wouldn't be surprised if Moll's salary wasn't included in the scouting budget either but under a management salaries budget item.

Who says it's a design flaw. We just had the worst winter in over 100 years. A building can be designed to withstand weather much worse than normal but not a lot are designed to meet once in a century conditions.

Here's a question for you guys complaining about where Kane shoots from a lot, where do other wingers take most of their shots from. Edited: Ooops was looking at cap hit instead of salary for Kane.
-
Why would he be looking to trade Westerman? Because he told Wally he won't be extendingNot quite. He told Wally he didn't want to extend right now... not that he wouldn't consider it in the future. He probably wants to use this year to prove himself as a starter and get starter's money, which I'm sure Wally isn't offering at the moment. Or he might want to wait for the new CBA.

It has nothing to do with AM or FM. Stations like TSN Radio have a sports programming license - CJOB's license is for a news format. CJOB is allowed to air football without the news breaks during the game but they do have them at half-time.
-
You do realize that the breaks for news, weather, etc are mandated in their license.
-
More like Miller has autonomy to make budget decisions while Buchko had to get BoD approval. It's obvious he's increased the football ops budget significantly to be able to have all the new scouts, 2 assistant GMs and a 11 man coaching staff.

No. Joe was a real person - Bunyan was part of an advertising campaign.

What does pwned mean? I feel like I'm young enough I should know this...
