Did you really believe that John Scott would go after Kessel like he did?
Different situation since that happened mid-game, not off the opening face-off. Tough guys have started games lots of times without anything happening.
I disagree with what Tortorella did but I think he honestly believes he had no choice. This was hardly the first time a 4th line has started a game against another team's top line.
In case you haven't seen it:
Torts is blaming Hartley for starting his 4th line saying he had to counter with his tough guys. Hartley says he started his 4th line because they were playing well and had scored a goal in the last game and goals have been hard to come by for the Flames. He said he had no intent to start anything and pointed out that Torts had last change so he could have put anyone on the ice but chose his tough guys.

There was a lot of talk that the Riders did defer a bunch of salaries and bonuses to 2014 and there are players who have clauses in their contracts giving them a raise in 2014 based on how much the cap goes up this year (Ricky Ray is one example). The new CBA will have a higher maximum cap this season but no one knows whether it will be a little or a lot so teams are playing it safe by budgeting at the 2013 cap levels according to reports I've seen.
I know that but that doesn't change the fact that teams won't know what the cap will be in February and some teams may not have as much cap space as we assume.
I'm not saying there won't be a lot if interest in Muamba if he goes to FA. I'm just saying it might not be every team.
GCn11, you mention Bighill but there is also Elimimian in BC as well. Where would Henoc line up there?
Plus teams are still basing their budgets on the 2013 cap so that could affect whether some teams can offer the big bucks. The Riders could be in a tough position to make an offer especially if the rumours are true about their cap situation.
Read your other post. You said lose, not trade.
I still would like to know what Hufnagel has said or done that makes people think Mitchell is ahead of Tate on the depth chart.
It doesn't matter if Tate starts the season ahead of BLM on the depth chart because Buck Pierce 2.0 will be injured by week 3.
It does when the discussion is who the Stamps starter will be at the start of the season.

I think lots of people are making assumptions that Tate won't be the starter. What indication has Hufnagel ever given that Tate isn't ahead of Mitchell on the depth chart. As soon as Tate was off the IR Mitchell didn't see the field again that I can recall.
The Bombers won't be outbid. Walters has said a countless number of times that the Bombers will match any offer Henoc gets.
My sense is that playing at home isn't that big of a deal for Henoc. There are a lot of very good football programs at universities in southern Ontario but he chose to go to Antigonish and play at StFX.

When the Jets get some comparable D and goaltending call me.
After tonight the Jets have played 3 games more than the Coyotes and given up 1 more goal. Phoenix ain't that great on the back end.
The only rumour I ever heard was Calgary was waiting to see how much Edmonton got for their new arena from the Alberta government so they could hit them up for the same amount.
