I agree. He had a darn good run especially for a guy who was a 6th round pick. He'll be missed off the field too. He's been doing a lot of community work in the off-season.

It's my understanding he was on a one year contract just like most assistants are. If that's the case then the Riders can't stop him from leaving. All indications out of Montreal indicate Thorpe is being groomed to be HC next season.

If Cauchy is playing I have a lot more faith that the coaches know better than you what type of player he is.

Of course it is but that wasn't the point. Stubler promoted Cauchy to starter so obviously Cauchy can play in a Stubler defense and play well enough that a lot of people were really happy when we signed him.

A player has to agree to be put on the 9 game IR. Ottawa could cut that player and that player could then sign with another team as well.
