Thats ludicrous! Edmonton fired their coach. Yeah, but maybe they got in shat for it. Wouldn't be surprised. It's really no surprise that Hervey would thumb his nose at the mandate since he's the same guy who announced the signing of Willis a minute after the start of FA, didn't make his final cuts from TC known to the public until well after the deadline and every other team had, and so on.

Apparently Burke said Jones told teams he would only play for Calgary. If that's not true, every team had a chance to pick him - heck Calgary picked him with their 2nd of 2 second round picks so it's not like they rushed to pick him.

Shawn Churchill is an unpolished interviewer? You realize he's been doing the sports for CTV Winnipeg since 2000 and has been their sports director since 2005. He isn't some rookie reporter. I didn't know who it was., but it doesn't matter to me. It sounded like a first take of an interview and came across as amateurish. At one point, he didn't even listen to the answer before he asked virtually the same question. Doing the sports and doing an interview are two different things and Mr Churchill didn't cut it…um…for me. I didn't watch much but from what I saw it looked like it was the raw footage and not the edited version that would have aired.

And unless Tim Burke is a masterful liar when he says he doesn't know his status, why would MB know Burke was going to be fired before Burke knows. Well maybe Burke is just too dumb to see the writing on the wall and MB isn't? Burke is going to be fired I don't think there's any question of that it just comes down to a question of when. He's a terrible HC but I wouldn't call him dumb.

Burke said that Bomber management has identified 3 non-import OLs that they will be targeting this offseason, via trade or free agency. He said one of them has been out all season with a concussion.I'm pretty sure he said is there are 3 NI OL who will be FA's this offseason, plus others who they will pursue through trades. That difference in wording is why I'm pretty certain Mike is right about Tsoumpas being the guy with a concussion that Burke was referring to. Your suggestion is that we're going to target a guy who DOES have a contract and suffered a concussion and you also include, as support for your suggestion, the fact that my guy didn't miss LITERALLY all year. This is why it's so ridiculous when fans take what a coach says on any level as gospel. Have you ever heard Burke talk? He's SO casual. As much as I dislike Burke, it's far more likely that the term "all year" was not meant to be taken extremely literally than it is that he'd openly admit to targeting a player with a contract to play for another team. I don't even know why I'm arguing this, it's probably the most ridiculous argument I've ever engaged in. Or Burke may actually have believed Tsoumpas has been out for the entire season without actually checking to see if that was the case.

Yeh it seemed weird, he was never placed on the 9 game was he? He and Matthews were both put on the 9 game at the beginning of October.

I guess this would be a good time to mention that if Mack always listened to Walters, we'd have Edem and Pasztor over Mulumba and Pencer but we'd also have Mitchell over Muamba. I don't think that Walters was even involved in the Muamba pick, was he? Wasn't he just ST coach at the time? Walters was put in charge of the draft when he was first hired in 2010. Is it two full years?? I thought he was only signed up for next season and that was it? If it's two years then dear lord that was a bad move by the Blue.... I seem to recall it being said recently that he signed a 3 year contract but the last year was an option so the Bombers would only be paying him for one year.

Cvet hasn't played much since he was injured and no way does he have a bad attitude. Etienne, Poblah and Kowalczuk haven't played for a while either so not playing them isn't unusual. Mainor is injured.
