As close as his family is it doesn't seem like Henoc has a problem playing away from home. There are a number of good schools with good football programs in Southern Ontario but he chose to go to St. FX in Nova Scotia.

Anderson looked like he got hurt in OT - not sure though Bo Smith was also pulled due to lack of talent. During the broadcast they said JJ had moved over to Suber's spot and Cauchy came in to play safety so who came out that Smith replaced?

Did I miss another injury? Who else came out after Suber was hurt?

He has said in some interviews that he would like to go back to being a GM and/or HC. He's also applied for a few openings in the past few years as well including here after Kelly and Bauer were gone.

Remember when Burke said he had learned his lesson about playing it safe after last year's Banjo Bowl but then this wasn't playing it safe, it was playing it stupid.

Well maybe they can't do that because Burke doesn't know how to juggle the ratio during a game.

That would be a stretch IMO. It would all depend on who we hire. Lots of new HCs have kept guys from the previous staff so why would that be a stretch for a new guy here to keep someone regarded as one of the best ST coordinators in the league. Richard Harris worked for 3 different HCs here is just one example.

Teams don't usually bring in NFL cuts until the PR expands and that isn't for another week or two.

Has anyone actually verified that we are in fact the youngest team in the league and by how much. I seem to recall one season that was said but our average age was less than a year younger than a few teams.

Mack did some good things and bad things for this team but I have a hard time believing some of the "revelations" coming from the local media especially since these "revelations" are coming from members of the media who had thrown away their objectivity long ago. I'm tired of the local media creating news, rather than reporting it. I'm tired of the local media cherry picking quotes or misleading people to further their agenda. We have no idea what Mack did or didn't do but I have no doubt that whatever he did do the local media would have spun it to make him look bad.

You missed the part where Hervey made an offer and then told Buono he would up his offer if Buono agreed to not shop Reilly to other teams (Hervey said this happened - not an unnamed source to a reporter). And you didn't include the part where Edmonton was given permission to talk to Reilly before trade and the Bombers weren't.

How do you know? You don't know what Mack offered.

Mack said we weren't allowed to speak to Reilly first while Buono said the Eskimos were. That was still the deal breaker as far as I'm concerned. Unless Buono or someone from the Bombers goes on record saying otherwise I'm taking anything certain members of the media write using their unnamed sources with a grain of salt because IMO the only spinning to make someone the bad guy that is being done now is by Penton et al as they continue to take every opportunity to re-write history to suit their agendas.

Reilly was quoted as saying: Releasing Buck would have been the only equivalent to what Edmonton did. Burke wanted Buck on the roster and Burke named Buck starter long before TC started. If Reilly was looking for a wide open competition for starting QB he wasn't going to get it as long as Buck was Burke's preference as starter. As far as I'm concerned the Lions not allowing the Bombers to speak to Reilly before the trade was still a deal breaker.

Well that's the point... It wasn't what Penton was claiming. I also seem to recall that it was said Mack was high on Reilly as well.

Why should the CFL compensate the Bombers when the Bombers asked to move? From the FP:

Releasing Brink and Elliott earlier wouldn't have made a difference. Burke showed he would keep going with Buck as long as Buck could stand upright so why would Reilly think he had a shot at starting as long as Buck on the roster.
