  1. Dairy is not covered by NAFTA. And the issue is with diafiltered milk, not all dairy. This article from iPolitics does a good job explaining things: https://ipolitics.ca/2017/04/22/dairy-101-the-canada-u-s-milk-spat-explained/
  2. The Ninth Circuit was the one that blocked the first travel ban and now a judge from that Circuit has blocked Trump's threat to not provide funding for sanctuary cities.
  3. The deal Tillerson negotiated.
  4. If a player gets an MRI immediately it's because it is necessary. The article said that 59 (former/current) Jets and Bombers received MRIs quickly. The AG's report covers the years 2008 to March 2016. That's an average of 7 players per year and there have been some pretty significant injuries over that time period that would justify a quick MRI.
  5. That's exactly what's wrong with the report. There is no comparison of how long the average person with a similar or same need had to wait. The AG has said that he has no evidence that those named had sought out or were given preferential treatment.
  6. How do you know? Every waiting list priortizes the order people are on it based on the seriousness of the issue. Joe or Jane Public blows out a knee and he/she is going to get a MRI pretty damn quickly.
  7. Pence isn't in charge. Who is in charge depends on who has Trump's ear that day.
  8. From a CBC article:
  9. It says 92 "instances of potential preferential treatment.". It was a pretty flawed report. The AG had no information on why these people were getting a MRI or any other circumstances. And once again Wiecek gets it wrong. There is no evidence that the Jets or Bombers players jumped the queue.
  10. Note a transaction but nice to know.
  11. They claim it was a random draw.
  12. IIRC the contract with TSN would allow CTV to broadcast some games but they don't. What do you think would happen with airing CFL games when the NFL season started. If you think burying something on the website was bad, how would you feel about watching a game on MuchMoreMusic. And Bell Media has owned CTV and TSN for years - now owning the Argos will likely keep it on TSN but don't bet on it going to CTV.
  13. They were with the Chicago Department of Aviation police.
  14. This happened in BC.
  15. That was overblown. The family was flying using employee passes which has a different dress code. And they were teenagers, not young girls. What happened to the passenger who was dragged off is inexcusable and I hope he sues the crap out of them.
  16. Another good one from Pat Byrnes of The New Yorker:
  17. Here's his whole message from instagram:
  18. Apparently Trump owns stock in the company that makes Tomahawk missiles. They used $90m worth in the air strikes that destroyed nothing and those missiles will now have to be replaced.
  19. The gloves are off and claws have been extended:
  20. Some are saying the missile strike was a PR sham. The fact that the base has planes taking off after the air strike would seem to indicate they didn't do the greatest job putting the base out of commission.
  21. Is it possible that the work was the concourse widening?
  22. From the MBB twitter feed:
