The Republican backing down on the gutting of the Office of Congressional Ethics had more to do with public pressure than Trump. Trump celebrates New Year's Eve with convicted felon. http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/03/politics/donald-trump-joey-cinque-mob-new-years/index.html

I'm not sure he is vested yet. He may not have been credited for the 2014 season. His stats say he played 2 games and I don't see anything about him being on injured reserve or the PUP list for that season (although I wasn't looking hard).

Are the Blue Bombers the Rodney Dangerfield of the CFL?
Jacquie replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Who gives a crap what the media says. It's obvious from the Medlock quote posted in the other thread and other comments made by players that the Bombers are respected by those who count - the players. -
Game 39 : Second Smallest Arena @ Smallest Arena

No they don't. Until the games in hand show up in the points column they mean nothing. -

Who? -
The first time Trump used that phrase was to set out what he wanted to do about lobbyists - especially those lobbying for foreign governments. At one point his transition team was filled with lobbyist and consultants. His Secretary of Defence James Mattis was employed by a cnsulting group (that's apparently the new name for lobbyists). And now his former campaign manager has opened a new lobbying firm with another Trump supporter in the same building where the Trump transition team is located and that's not a problem for Trump and the Republicans. H Here's an excerpt from a Chicago Tribune commentary: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/commentary/ct-trump-cabinet-billionaires-wall-street-20161201-story.html So it seems that Trump's idea of taking on Wall Street meant appointing a bunch of them to his cabinet.

And games in hand mean nothing until they are played. It's not like we're the only team who has ever played badly for a stretch. -
How many games did other teams 3rd stringers (not including Montreal) get significant playing time in that was not due to injuries?

Good God, man. We're 2 points out of a wild card spot. -

Does anyone know what the Jets record is when the game is on SportsNet/CITY/HNIC vs TSN3? Seems to me we always lose when the game is on SportsNet or CITY. -
So Rousey was paid $62,500 per second. I'd let someone knock me out for those kind of $$$.

An exit poll breaking down who voted for whom that is interesting. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/11/08/us/politics/election-exit-polls.html?_r=0 "Data for 2016 were collected by Edison Research for the National Election Pool, a consortium of ABC News, The Associated Press, CBSNews, CNN, Fox News and NBC News." In a breakdown of "Most important candidate quality", the vast majority of Trump voters chose "Can bring needed change". Those are the people who will be disappointed considering Trump's choices for his cabinet. He hasn't "drained the swamp" - he's added to it.

Admin, would it be possible to close this thread at (or after) midnight and have a new thread created. Hopefully there would be no deaths posted in a new thread for a while and we can put the craptastic year of 2016 behind us.

If you're a fan of American Horror Story, she played Mother Superior in AHS: Asylum. She was also on General Hospital for 14 years.

Obama did NOT give us Trump. Two unlikable polarizing candidates going against each other gave us Trump. A late November poll indicated Obama still has a high approval rating (57% - compare that to George W Bush whose average approval rating was 49%.

Harris took a low salary for 2016 but he's set to make $400,000 in 2017 according to Justin Dunk ($100,000 of that is a roster bonus due Feb 1). Hank's an FA so his salary will be gone because they definitely can't afford both. http://3downnation.com/2016/11/24/henry-burris-trevor-harris/ No way Glenn makes on $150,000. That's 3rd string with no experience type money.

It's not quite the Big Brother thing that blog called it.

There are 100 members in the Senate - at the time that it was voted on the breakdown was 54 Republicans, 44 Democrats and 2 independents. The vote passing the NDAA was 92-7. The 3 Republicans, 3 Democrats and 1 independent voted against it with 1 Republican not voting.

From Reuters: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-defense-congress-idUSKBN13X26G From The Hill: http://thehill.com/policy/defense/311725-obama-signs-annual-defense-policy-bill-into-law So, again, let's blame Obama for something that would have gone through with or without his signing it.
-
So Obama signs a bill that went through the Republican held Senate and Congress and somehow he's completely responsible for it.

And now some stupid website is spreading a hoax that voice actress June Foray died. It's not true.
