  1. What's wrong with it... it's pretty damn selfish is what's wrong with it. And you would be wrong about the second part. She did so much more than Star Wars.
  2. I struggled trying to decide who to get on my jersey. I went back and forth on different players and then I walked into the Bomber Store and saw a Leggett jersey hanging on the wall and I just knew that was the one. Don't overthink it - trust your gut.
  3. Carrie Fisher died and all you can think of is how it will affect Star Wars?! Wow... just wow. SMH
  4. Yeah, yeah... forgot about him. It seems like the Lions and Stamps are the only teams who have re-signed any "big" potential FAs (2 each). It's also been reported by numerous members of the media that Bryant and Medlock aren't going anywhere so I wouldn't be surprised if their re-signings are announced shortly into the new year.
  5. I don't recall that many re-signings being announced. A few releases but not any big name re-signings. There are quite a few teams close to the cap this season.
  6. I'm so glad 2016 is almost over. It's been the suckiest year EVER!!!
  7. Mo Leggett is the epitome of what a pro athlete should be on and off the field. We're damn lucky he's a Bomber. Also would it be possible to change the title of the thread to indicate it's an old thread re-visited.
  8. More evidence that Trump surrounds himself with a bunch of racist jerks: http://www.ctvnews.ca/mobile/world/trump-n-y-campaign-co-chair-wishes-death-on-obama-calls-first-lady-male-1.3216037
  9. IIRC there were no active investigations of Benghazi or the Clinton Foundation during the election.
  10. From the Washington Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/fbi-backs-cia-view-that-russia-intervened-to-help-trump-win-election/2016/12/16/05b42c0e-c3bf-11e6-9a51-cd56ea1c2bb7_story.html?utm_term=.9bd998a9bf54
  11. Not just those two. Engstrom is a Deputy Editor at the Sun.
  12. Obama won the popular vote, Trump did not. There is no evidence of a foreign government trying to affect the outcome of elections when Obama ran while there is strong evidence there has been with Trump. Obama released his tax returns, liquidated his assets and put the money in accounts that would not have any type of conflict of interest for him (ie college funds, bonds, etc) while Trump has numerous instances of conflicts of interest as he will continue to profit from his companies dealings in the US and foreign countries and still hasn't released any tax returns. Obama was not under investigation for fraud before and during the election nor has he had any legal problems administering a charitable trust while Trump has. Obama campaigned on inclusion and coming together as a country while Trump played to the fears of white people while threatening minorities throughout his campaign. I can't believe that you actually believe race did not play a part in the dislike for Obama considering some of the horribly racist things that have been said about him and his family.
  13. More stirring the pot, KBF. Please enlighten us as to what reason the Republican members of the Electoral College would have had for blocking Obama's presidency other than racism?
  14. Because Mitch McConnell and other Republicans claimed acting on the information that late in the campaign would be "partisan politics" and wouldn't let the White House act on it.
  15. They never said he was not criminal responsible. They said they were going to keep investigating and they've now charged him with manslaughter.
  16. Did you see Django Unchained?
  17. Louisiana is one of the states with both open carry and "stand your ground" laws. I'm wondering if the discussion of the murder of Joe McKnight should be moved to its own thread so this one can go back to being about regular off-season discussion.
  18. As well it wasn't the norm for the "N" word to be used uncensored. I think it happened once or twice on All in the Family - the other being when Sammy Davis Jr. used it when he guested on the show. I doubt you could find any other examples of it being used uncensored on TV from that time period or earlier. And, KBF, a minor point - it was NOT a crossover. The Jeffersons did not start its run until January, 1975. That clip is from 1974 when they were characters on All in the Family.
  19. You might not recognize his name but you will probably remember Don Calfa's face from some TV series or movie. http://www.ctvnews.ca/entertainment/don-calfa-prolific-film-and-television-actor-dead-at-76-1.3187165
  20. And it seem Gasser has a previous road rage incident in his past: http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2016/12/joe_mcknights_shooter_was_cite.html
  21. I'm not sure whether networks censoring the "n" word means society has come far. Too many people still have that 50s mentality of race. FYI, that isn't a clip from The Jeffersons. It's from All in the Family. The Jeffersons were neighbours of the Bunkers when the series first started. The Jeffersons was a spin-off which started airing in early 1975.
  22. An update on the case: http://www.espn.com/espnw/sports/article/18188724/suspect-shooting-death-former-new-york-jets-rb-joe-mcknight-released-investigation-continues
  23. If people are mocking a culture by wearing the costumes then it is racist. That picture of the "Mexican prisoners" was racist. And speaking of bigots, Mike Pence's neighbours are respectfully showing him what they think of his anti-LGBTQ views: http://wjla.com/news/local/rainbow-flags-pop-up-in-vp-elect-pences-temporary-northwest-dc-neighborhood
  24. Players don't really have any say in where they are traded to. And what type of advice could Warren Moon give about that? Best I can come up with is wanting advice on whether he should stay in the CFL or try the NFL.
