There have only been 2 wins by a crossover team in 19 years. It seems to be pretty difficult to win 1 on the road.

If the player is less than a yard offside and gets back before the ball is snapped there is no penalty. If he is over a yard offside then the play is blow dead. And that's the way it is still called.

If I got a dollar for every time someone has said that since the crossover started I'd be rich.

If a player goes more than a yard offside then the play is blown down immediately. That's been the rule for years.

And you know that if there is a fumble the players are told to try to recover it even if the whistle has blown in case a challenge shows the player was not down by contact. That's the only scenario that I know of for the whistle not having an effect.

The rule is if the ballcarrier is ruled down by contact but when reviewed the replay shows the ball was out before he was down and it was immediately recovered by the defensive player that it is a turnover. It is in the review section of the rule book.

The video shows that the person who threw it had a dark blue sweater on. It can look a little deceiving because the thrower had a Blue Jays shirt under the sweater that was the same colour as the guy in front of him but that guy has his hands down when the beer can was thrown. The guy has been charged and can argue you it in court. I think the biggest question is whether the Toronto Sun will give out their $1,000 reward for identifying the guy.
