Choice of channels coming to cable TV packages soon.

What outside sources? The ones the Americans complain steal their signals or something different? -
The thing is on the first Star Wars movies George Lucas wasn't a guy who had carte blanche, he was told no and had a lot of outside input for Star Wars, I don't believe he directed Empire or Jedi either... but by the time the prequels came around Star Wars was this huge thing and George Lucas was above reproach and no one stopped him and said "I dunno about that George..." and the results were the prequel movies. Guy to me seems like a big idea person but in terms of crafting a quality movie not so much. Irvin Kershner directed Empire. Lucas didn't have much to do with the screenplay (1st draft by Leigh Brackett, finished by Lawrence Kasdan) which explains why the dialogue was so much better. Kasdan also wrote the screenplay for Jedi and it was directed by Richard Marquand. The two best movies of the bunch were ones Lucas didn't direct or write the screenplay.

The middle east has hated us for way longer than 100 years. Islam has been trying to eradicate Christianity since it's inception 1400 years ago. And there has been an ethic cleansing of christians going on there for over a hundred years. In the early 20th century 20% of the population of the middle east was Christian. ....now it's 5% and quickly falling. Cause it's not like Christianity hasn't tried to eradicate other religions throughout history.

None of them were refugees. From CTV website: http://montreal.ctvnews.ca/police-believe-attackers-used-forged-passports-to-stigmatize-refugees-1.2662167

I havent seen if this has been changed in the last couple of days but from BBC:Ahmad al-Mohammad, from Idlib in Syria, has been named as one of the attackers involved in Friday's terror attacks in Paris. His was the name on a Syrian passport found with the remains of one of the attackers, though the man's identity has not yet been verified. It is believed he entered mainland Europe after arriving by boat on the Greek island of Leros, like many refugees fleeing Syria's civil war. Additionally, other terrorists have entered countries as refugees, perhaps most infamously the Boston Marathon bombers. I'll be honest, as much as I think Trudeau's plan is politically motivated based on how it looks, and I think prudence requires a step back, I am hesitant when I see so many US states determined to ban refugees. I dont want to embrace a knee-jerk reaction. In a perfect world, or even a normal world, we should do our part to help people. However, its not a perfect or normal world. ISIS has said they will hide operatives among refugees. If it was any other group and any other event, we wouldnt hesitate but to choose more security. If Trudeau goes ahead with his plan and someone commits a terrorist attack in Canada or the US (entering by means of Canada) who was among these refugees, what would Trudeau say then? When someone says how they will attack you, you dont shrug and say "odds are long". How many Arab nations are taking in refugees? I think some people get this impression that the entire world is bringing in tens of thousands of refugees and us hateful Canadians are wanting to *gasp* fully vet any before we bring them in, and its not true. Never mind the economic and social issues of bringing in so many. Its a complicated issue. I'd love to help as many people as possible and accept that they are all good people with no ill intentions. But if I had to take responsibility for their actions, I couldnt do it. They have found something like 16 fake Syrian passports with the same name. I will have lost a link later

I haven't read the entire thread but from what I have read it seems the fact that none of the terrorists were refugees has been ignored in the discussion.

I'm reposting this because of a stupid typo: I was just at the TSN app and those using MTS can now access the locked content. -
Dat would be the record completion percentage in 2005, Bob! That and his stupid ******* facial hair choices and his giant dumbo ears... he just looks like someone you'd want to punch right in the face. It's not like you have to date him.

Getting involved with Police Incidents / Shootings...
Jacquie replied to Brandon's topic in General Discussion
There were reports quoting a family member (an uncle?) saying he was very depressed by his girlfriend breaking up with him. With his behaviour when he got out of the car, I wouldn't be surprised if this was a suicide-by-cop situation. -
Mike Benevides was quoted as saying he let Stubler go because he had to promote Mark Washington to DC or he would have lost him to the Bombers. I know there was at least another coach they were after for DC as well but I can't remember who it was.

Etcheverry's rep was out there and was hired anyways. Same for Bellefeuille. The same ineffectiveness that Bellefeuille's offenses have shown in his previous incarnations has been evident for two years before he was finally canned. The special teams were a mess for a season and a half before at coach was fired. Is there a pattern here?Has any coach in the CFL survived into a third season with such a record in choosing poor assistants plus accumulating an equally poor win/loss record and so many blowout losses? It was well reported that Etchevery was MOS's 5th or 6th choice for DC.
-
Why does that matter? If it works... He takes some of the main concepts he learned from Milo... throws in his own wrinkles... and you have a successful offense... Which is what Milanovich did. He learned from Trestman's and added his own wrinkles.

They did but they don't come into effect until the new year. Neither are leaving TO.

It was already reported that most of the offensive coaches are at the end of 2 year contacts.

Nope. Nothing at all. LaPo is the best choice of all but why would he want to come back to the team that stabbed in the back in the shape we're in now with a lame duck head coach? And I truly believe MOS will never sign another HC contract with the Bombers. So, the only way I see Lapo ever coming back is if he was GM & HC. At least then Lapo would know he wouldn't have a cowardly GM stabbing him in the back sacrificing himself to save his own neck like Mack did in 2012. And we know that Walters is just "too valuable an asset" to be dismissed for LaPo. Cough, cough...You take a shot at Mack but you don't have a problem with the fact Lapo stabbed his OC in the back in 2011. Bit of a double standard there. Mack was useless to begin with so he deserves all the shots he gets. And, can't be a double standard if I never knew it. So, what did he do? Lapo firing Barresi the day after the Bombers lost the GC - making Barresi the scapegoat.

Next question ... since it seems to be a theme around here

Also not a great example since BC won the GC that year. In 2004, the Toronto Argos won the Grey Cup over B.C. Printers was MOP but Dickenson got the start. Don't know what I was thinking when I posted 'cause I knew that. -

Mike, I noticed in the MBB twitter feed that you posted you hoped Markus Howell would be back next season. In the past, you didn't think too highly of Howell as a receivers coach. What made you change your mind?
