Condell follows Austin wherever he is. Cant see him leaving the Ti-Cats. Besides Hamilton and Cornell, where else have Condell and Austin worked together? In fairness though, the last time he was here he is wearing 2 hats... HC and OC... He's no HC material back then... but he is a very good OC. Lapo wore 2 hats because he wouldn't let his OCs wear one. He threw Barresi (who was not given a legit opportunity to be the OC) under the bus. Then he refused to hire an OC with CFL experience so he could keep control of the offence.

Under the SMS then but they're in SMS hell now. Bad SMS management was the reason Taman was fired according to the Riders President/CEO. Well Walters was the top NI scout when Mack was here, perhaps Mack is taking too much heat from fans? Yes Mack took way more heat. Back when they fired him I remember Walters sliding in potshots as well and stating the right person was now in charge, etc. Basically he was off-loading all the blame onto Mack. Very easy to do because he was directly in the headlights. Don't forget though that Walters was brought in as some Canadian talent expert and held the second highest position next to Mack. So it was not like he was powerless. He basically admitted he was a toothless coward. Now that he is in charge though we find that he is definitely not living up to the hype. We have had weak NI talent for the five years(?) he has been here and before that he was a middling ST coach. IN all honesty if I had to pick and choose between keeping one of MOS or Walters I would give Walters the heave-ho first. There is more than enough evidence that he doesn't do a good job, while going by what MOS was able to do with STs he at least may have an upside. (Realistically though both should be shown the door with MB) Links? The media took a lot of shots at Mack but I don't remember Walters saying anything.

The Barclay Center posted the score for the Jets game today. Who the hell did we have in goal!?!?!
-
Not necessarily. Some of the QB injuries had nothing to do with how well they were protected on the play.

Disagree completely. Found myself, oddly cheering for Burris yesterday. Like to see the old guy leave with a cup.And the fans were not the problem in Ottawa in the past. The problems in the past were all about bizarre ownership and management combined with a a terrible stadium and lousy teams.I agree. Why should the fans suffer because of that. That would be like saying the Jets shouldn't have playoff success because Jets 1.0 moved. -
Explain. Thought so. What's to explain when it's already been posted and discussed. Of course the BoD hires the CEO. The CEO doesn't hire himself.

Once doesn't make it traditionally. They did that after Bauer left as an over-reaction to giving Bauer too much power. Nope. BOD members have been involved with the process for every hire since Cal Murphy (as far back as I go) and the process of every firing too. The CEO can't make those decisions about organization direction and payouts on his own. This is not unusual in any business, public or private. In my professional life I've never been hired by any less than a committee of 3 and am now on hiring committees/panels that range between 3 and 7. Rubber stamping the CEO's decisions is far different than Striking committee for a hiring and firing.

Next question ... since it seems to be a theme around here

I wouldn't be upset. I'd be happy for Moton Hopkins. He's a class act. -

I was wondering the same thing last week, this guy is virtually invisible. I wonder if he actually spends anytime in Canada. What?!? Orridge is an American who just got his Canadian citizenship. He made sure he was seen on television at one of the Liberal candidate's soiree's election night in Toronto. Interviewed on CBC that night. I know that. He's lived in Canada for around 10 years which is why I said "what?!?" to the ridiculous comment I bolder.

What?! There are 14 people on the BoD including 1 Provincial rep and one City rep. Why in the world would we need a BOD comprised of 14 members to run a football operation? Seems excessive to me. Riders have 11 on their BoD.

Don't forget to put your clocks back an hour before you go to bed.

Benevides & Higgins... you would still need to ask permission to BC & MTL. Of course they'd say yes, but they still have contracts so it's part of the process. I like the idea of bringing back LaPo. I'm sure he'd be open to it too, knowing O'Shea will have a short leash, and no one from the Mack era that rushed him out there door is left! No, you do not need permission from b.c. or montreal to talk to higgins or benevides. IF...you hire them then the stipulations as to a payout - if that has not happened already, comes into effect. But they are fired...anyone can call them with inquires... Benevides - no. Higgins - yes. Higgins is still under contract to Montreal so they would have to give their permission to talk to him (unless his contract has already been bought out by the Als). Both Higgins and Benevides have accepted buyouts for the remainder of their contracts. Benevides was fired before his extension kicked in so he wouldn't have had to be bought out.

Drew Edwards @scratchingpost 3h3 hours ago #CFL teams playing with four days (or less) between games (as the #Ticats did last week vs. #BCLions) are 6-13 this season. Drew Edwards @scratchingpost 3h3 hours ago The #Bombers have played a #CFL-high four games with four days in between. Record 1-3. -
We should have extra cash from our take for hosting the Grey Cup. Pretty sure any profit from hosting the CG goes towards paying back the loan.

Berry may not have been on his players' Christmas card lists, but he was the last winning coach we had, and he didn't have an All-star quarterback, either. This has come up here before, but there are a lot of winning coaches in many sports who were not beloved by their players- Tom Landry, and Scotty Bowman to name a couple. And we've had a couple of coaches who were well-liked by their players but disasters on the scoreboard. Kevin Glenn was a finalist for MOP and Eastern All-Star in 2007. Berry was the last winning head coach but his record here was 1 game over .500

No he wasn't. Bauer demoted him before Kelly was hired. -

Murphy was a contributor to the circus. It was his friend who "spied" on the Ticats and his comments to SI that created the Pacman fiasco. -
