@CFL_News: Jonathan Crompton has been placed on the 6-game injured list. #AlsMTL #CFL via @DidierRDS -
If he has to buy it, his cheque book would be more useful. Stupid Americans...He did spell it "cheque" in his tweet. BigBlue204 spelled it "check".

Since its been brought up...Did Muamba ever make his way to Winnipeg? No mention of him anywhere He has a workout with Green Bay tomorrow so I assume the CFL is on hold. I don't recall there being a report that it's with the Packers. He's already had a try-out with them: Aaron WilsonVerified account @AaronWilson_NFL Sep 23 Packers tried out Blake Anne, Justin Hamilton, Henoc Muamba, Josh Shirley

You don't think that's a bit melodramatic. He had 7 sacks last season and none this season. Not really fair to include the off-season.

Giving back to his community - excellent. I wish him the best.

It's down to 2 now because the Yankees lost to the Red Sox tonight. I was a huge Blue Jays fan years ago but after about the 150th work stoppage I gave up on MLB. Now I do hope they do well but I hate Rogers more than I like the Blue Jays.

If there is such a process, it is either restricted to egregious incidents or at random. The hit on JFG was only one example of deliberate intent that has gone unaddressed. How about the No End call. Think that'll be reviewed? "Ooops! Sorry!"

No End Call - CFL confirms it was an incorrect call
Jacquie replied to Floyd's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
OK...everyone makes mistakes. I'm certainly not immune to them. However, why didn't they pick up the flag? His memory couldn't be that bad that he couldn't remember 5 seconds later that he did indeed acknowledge Adam's position on the line. This doesn't make sense. Agreed. And I'd assume that Adams and/or O'Shea would have told the ref, "yes we did have an end...Darvin Adams, and you acknowledged it". Would that not jog his memory?Or command centre could have called and said "pick it up idiots!" No they couldn't and you know that. Why? Why couldnt they? They all have ear buds. Johnson could have easily said "wtf you doing? Pick up flag and drop it again and say no infraction on the play". They follow along dont they? Illegal procedure is a non-reviewable play so the Command Centre can't get involved. No one can order an official to pick up a flag. There was that game in 2011 between Montreal and the Bombers were an official threw a flag for defensive pass interference in the end zone against the Als. It was a terrible call and should have actually been offensive pass interference against Greg Carr. The officials huddled and tried to get the official who threw the flag to pick it up but he refused. He was fired shortly thereafter because of that call. -
I didn't cheer for the Riders - I cheered against the Als.

The only time I have seen a coach throw the challenge flag without checking the replay or waiting for the spotter to call down is when the play was on the sidelines a couple feet from where he was standing.

Tedford threw a challenge flag after an Eskimos TD had already been reviewed and was penalized for doing so on Saturday. And it's happened a number of times - you just can't remember them because they didn't involve the Bombers. -
It's a win/win when it comes to the Riders. If they beat Montreal it's good for the Bombers. If they lose, we get to add 5+ pages to the Riders suck thread as a way to cheer ourselves up a little. I can't cheer for them either.

Head ref was either instructed by the CFL to ensure Winnipeg lost or he's accepting bribes. Someone with Als org paying off refs? A playoff game can result in $1-2 million in profit. Share some with corrupt refs?An NBA ref went to prison. You don't think something similar could happen in the CFL? I'd say it's much more likely. That is ridiculous. There isn't enough money bet on the CFL to make it worthwhile. And it wasn't the head official who threw the flag. -

Those people who were saying it didn't exist were wrong. The official on the field has to make the ruling and it is a non-reviewable play. -
Some of you are worse than teenage girls. I suppose you also spend hours planning your wardrobe for the week. Geez!

I think you can collectively bargain around certain laws. Such as anti trust etc. I would think this would be one of those too No you can't. The only American sports league to be exempt from anti-trust laws is MLB. Rich was right about American labour laws being the reason the American teams didn't have to deal with the ratio.

what available coach would you hire?
Jacquie replied to Taynted_Fayth's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Maybe, but didn't save Chamblin and Taman with Durant (and Glenn for a time) going down. A lot of differences between Saskatchewan and here. The Riders biggest problems are on defense which was Chamblin's baby. They were 0-4 going into the game when Glenn was injured because of the defense and they were 0-9 when the two were fired mostly because of the defense. As well, there were off-field issues that the team's President had with Taman that also lead to Taman's firing: http://www.leaderpost.com/business/field+issues+contributed+Taman+firing/11333228/story.html -

Yeah, but no one had game film on Jennings last week. -

He won a grey cup with a team Buono built. Once he had a few years as the head coach things started to fall apart, granted there were some injuries etc. But I don't think Benevidez will be a head coach again any time soon. Benevides wasn't the HC in 2011 - that was Buono's last season. -

If the Lions weren't in trouble before they sure are now. Reports are that Beck will out for a lengthy amount of time. Looks like Jonathan Jennings will be starting for them and they have Greg McGhee on their active roster and RJ Archer on the PR. Between the 3 of them they have a total of 29 pass attempts in the CFL. -

I'm willing to give O'Shea another year to turn the ship around. I really don't think we're that many pieces away from doing that. His BC contract was finished months ago. He had signed an extension but was fired before it took effect. -
Bar in Buffalo? Are you talking about Patrick Kane?

They will bump Shell back to the bench and move Leggett back to safety. I suspect this week though Wild will be in the IR. What happens when Randle comes back? I think Hurl has become a tradeable asset, try and get a player to help the O for him and use Sherman, Briggs and Waggoner as the backup or rotational LB's. Randle is done for the season.
