But it was funny when they showed the corrected standings and said they had to do it fast before Bomber fans started bombarding the studio (something to that effect).

Right, and the Riders are 0-6. Well I don't know how to change it now so it'll be our secret. Riders won't be 0-6 until they lose this game. Eh? The Riders are 0-5 coming into the game against Edmonton.

That was dumb by the Riders. First not realizing they lost a down on the time count. Then why run down the play clock when the game clock doesn't start until the snap of the ball because Dressler went out of bounds. SMH

When the Riders called that time out it sure sounded like Suitor said Chapdelaine was the "offensive coroner".

It is harder to get angry at a win than a loss. However, there is plenty to discuss about this game namely: 1. The fake punt when it was 3rd and 12; 2. the lack of pressure by the d-line; 3. O'Shea's lack of judgment when he challanged the pass to Denmark; 4.The lack of babes in the beer snake section; and 5. Poor pass protection/Willy holding onto the ball too long. I thought the game was done after the Lions started with the 9 minute td drive but full creit to Willy for inspiring this club to victory. The defence also got their act together and hopefully they can build on it and have gained some confidence. The fact is this is only one win but it is a significant win because it was at home, it wasa short week or prep, the team showed character and their qb showed the kind of tougness you don't see much these days in pro sports. If this was an NFL Monday night football game his 'heroics' would be discussed ad nasuem togetehr with a 30 minute NFL Films tribute. What the heck was wrong with the challenge. Better to use a challenge on a close play than hang on to them.

Mwahaha to all those who picked Harris. That will teach you to pick a player on the team we're playing.

It was a conditional pick that turned out to be a 4th rounder. -

Why is it people have to ask if you're a relative if you ever defend a player/GM/official/the League. SMH To answer the question, no I'm not and I don't go out of my way to defend the officials. You can bet I'm yelling at the TV when I think the officials or command centre missed something. I also recognize that the officials are human beings who make mistakes but much more often than not they make the right call. They don't have the benefit of super slow motion replay from multiple angles when they are on the field. I think TSN showed replays from 2 or 3 different angles before they found one that clearly showed it was a low hit. On any given play you could show 10 people a clip and you'll get 10 different opinions on what happened. People complain when the officials make a call and then complain when they don't make one. Half the time the people complaining don't even know the rules (not saying that about people here). As I said in my other post, if you think you can do better then here's a link for you to sign up: http://cflofficials.ca/howtobecomeacflofficial.asp -

The referee lined up well behind the LOS to the right of the QB is responsible for watching the QB. The other officials have their own responsibilities and areas to watch. It's a really big field and being human they can't see everything especially when there are 5 players immediately surrounding the QB and another 4 a few feet away who are all blocking his view. -

Of course, yet ANOTHER instance .. ANOTHER hit against our QB that went unflagged during the normal course of the game but has earned punishment after the fact .. sometimes I wonder if certain CFL referees simply have their heads up their asses when they call a Bomber game. What did you think of the hit Glenn took before half time? Right under the chin with a helmet, was really wondering why that wasn't a call. The worst call/ non-call in the Bomber game IMO was the first interception by Brohm. One edm defending shielded the receiver away from the ball and the other caught it. If that isn't pass interference I don't know what is. Pathetic that the Esks get those calls. Later on O'Shea had to challenge to get the other interference call on another int by the Esks. Jones gets those calls the same way Buono and Mathews used to because they stand there and chew on the refs the whole game on the sidelines so the refs give them the calls. Quiet coaches like O"shea and Chamblin aren't getting the close calls because the refs know they won't biatch about it. IMHO First of all, I don't like seeing QBs across this league taking illegal shots. Period. End of story. Secondly, this isn't the first instance Willy has been hit illegally and a referee hasn't made a call on the field .. it's happened twice so far this year and a number of times last year as well .. all for the league to come in after the fact and say, "Sorry Bombers, we missed that." Lastly, quiet has nothing to do with it .. it's a simple matter of competence. Here is a picture of Willy being hit. One arrow points to Willy and the other to the position of the official who is responsible for the making that call was (he's not in the picture but is correctly positioned). Please tell me how he was supposed to see that low hit with all the bodies between him and Willy. If an official isn't capable of routinely observing what's going on in a collapsing pocket and performing (what it his primary function on passing plays) then he has no business being on the field. Officials don't come equipped with x-ray vision. If you think you could see that hit clearly in real time with all those bodies there then I would suggest you go to Football Manitoba and sign up to be an official. -
I'm going with Marshall. You're too late. There are already a few who have struck out.

I really don't get this kind of thinking. Having more armed people in the theatre would have done nothing but let more bullets fly (IMO). The gunman ambushed those people, so he was getting off shots before people had a chance to do react regardless. He might not have died by his own hand if there were other guns, but the end result would still have been the same. After a couple of these types of shootings, I'm surprised there haven't been increases in security at theatres... metal detectors at the very least. At least there hasn't been increases up here, they may have done that down south. Exactly. One guy starts shooting, and then you pull out your gun in a dark theater and start shooting back, and you can't see well, so you start shooting at what you think is the guy and end up hitting an innocent bystander. There are many cases were armed citizens have thwarted robberies and such. There are a lot more cases of armed citizens killing innocent people or getting themselves killed.

You're not being positive. You're a bad fan. /s Does TSN have an accessible audio archives? Looked but have not found. This seems to be it: http://www.tsn.ca/radio/winnipeg-1290

Why do you want to "brick" Joey Elliot? And how is that even done? Throwing bricks? Bricking him up in a wall?

Looks like Glenn is questionable for the Riders next game against Edmonton because of the injury to his throwing shoulder. -
