Lock of the Week 4 (** Updated Result**)
Jacquie replied to Jpan85's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
You posted in the wrong thread. This was for Week 4 - there's another thread for Week 5. -
Here ya go... Architect denies responsibility for IGF design flaws By: Bartley Kives These claims corroborate statements made to the Free Press by former Triple B chairman Phil Sheegl, who disclosed stadium-design issues in 2013. There goes the credibility. Considering how much he lied about the fire station debacle to save his own skin I would take anything he says about this with a huge heaping helping of salt.

Adarius or John?

I can't remember the last time people didn't complain about ST. Doesn't matter who the HC or STC are/were.

When is Smith's trial? -
Wasn't it Don Whitman who was able to interview the terrorists at the Munich Olympics? What an amazing career he had. So he didn't look creepy?

I think Lapo would take it. There were plenty of reports when Lapo turned down OC jobs that he did so because he only wants to be a HC. I thought I had also read (possibly from @CFL_News) if that were the case expect Jeremy O'Day to be the GM also... That one doesn't make sense to me. Would O'Day want Lapo as HC if he took over as GM? It makes sense that Taman would bring him in considering their relationship. -
The clock is ticking for Goossen. He appears to be bypassed for a starting role, and I am beginning to wonder what is missing from his game. Holy over-reaction, Batman. What does Neufeld taking reps at centre have to do with Goossen's progress. Picard was sick. They aren't going to have just one player taking reps at centre during a practice. Now if Picard were back and Neufeld was taking reps at centre instead of Goossen then that would be a story. In the OP it said Picard was sick today.Yes I know. Your point? It's not surprising that with Picard sick they would need another guy snapping the ball and that Neufeld would be that guy. What's with your snarky comments lately Jacquie? I was just stating a fact, that Neufeld was playing centre in practice. It's a notable development, even if Picard was sick. I know you're boycotting me, but I'm still allowed to comment as someone who has to make an effort to keep the peace around here so whether you like it or not, I'm just going to mention that I don't think Jacquie was being snarky at all and I find it very interesting that you'd take offense to her blunt, straightforward response to you seen as how the majority of your posts are crafted the same way. Funny thing is that was my edited post. My original post was snarky. The edited version was the nice one.

Did Marve lose his short-yardage job?
Jacquie replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Well he has won 100% more games than Brohm. But other than that... Has Marve officially won a game? The rules on who gets the win are weird. All I know is short yardage with Marve was too much of an adventure than it should have been. -

You actually think how long a person lives in a country affects their accents. I lived next door to a woman who immigrated from Scotland when she was in her 20s. She's in her late 70s now and her accent hasn't changed in the entire time I've known her. My next door neighbour immigrated after WWII. Her accent is still so thick that I have trouble understanding what she says at times. I can't think of anyone I know with an accent who has lost it over time.

Glen Johnson doesn't make the rules. He is also not the one who decides how the rules are to be enforced.Refs get their weekly feedback from him on how to apply the rules. The Rules Committee and BoG tell Johnson how they want the rules interpreted. It's not his or the officials' fault if they do that and penalties go up. Johnson cannot change the way they are to be interpreted unilaterally.Actually yes he can because day to day throughout the season, he's the authority. He isn't going to unilaterally decide to overturn rule changes that the BOG implemented 4 weeks into the season. That is over stepping his authority.I know but interpretations can be quite "flexible". The rule changes were a big off season push from the league. Glenn Johnson isn't going to decide on his own that they should be applied more "flexible" unless the commissioner directs him to. He is doing what he was told to. And he isn't the one that can "decide" to change it. I know he didn't decide to change the rules. He's in charge of implementing the new rules and instructing the refs. He instructs the officials to call the new rules the way he was told they should be called.

The league has said the number of penalties called has been dropping. In week 1 the average was 38 and after week 4 it was 24. It is still the offside/procedure penalties that lead the way, not the new rule changes.

Cam Marshall Isn't he on a bye this week?Yes

I think Wade Miller has shown that isn't the case anymore considering how much he has added to the Football Ops budget. And Walters & O'Shea were not buddies. They were teammates for one year and little more than acquaintances after as they talked when they were at the same events according to what they said at the time O'Shea was hired. BTW, Friesen is in the Sun, not FP.

Five players fined after week 3.....Picard!
Jacquie replied to Fatty Liver's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I remember fans fundraising to pay a fine for Mike Kelly. Money raised goes to charity and not to pay the fine. -
Of course you're going to say that.

I met his Dad once years ago. He was a funny guy and really well liked. Does that help with the pain at all?
