You're not getting that call in the last minute of regulation in the playoffs, regardless of who you are. Sure, makes sense....Wreck a game because you think holding shouldn't be called in the last minute of a playoff game. I guess they dont' call too many men i the last 10 minutes either... Give me a freaking break. If anything you're being hypocritical with the lashings on Ladd then excusing them for not calling those, especially when one of the non-calls was the ONLY reason theys cored the goal. In the end though, they lost because they stink on the power play, it's actually unreal how freaking bad they are on the powerplay. Next year they need to desperately search for a skilled forward that actually knows how to consistently use his stick in close quarters. You'd have to be extremely lucky to win any playoff series without being half way competent on a powerplay. Regarding the too many men call - Yeah it sucks, but it happens. I don't know if you've seen much of the Nashville/Chicago series, but the exact same thing happened, and Patrick Kane scored on the same shift.I'm not being hypocritical whatsoever in relation to the call on Ladd. As I said the refs more often than not put their whistles away in the final few minutes of regulation in the playoffs, ESPECIALLY in tie games. You see the same thing in overtime. Officials only make calls if it's an absolute must. That's how it should be. What happened with Ladd was not in the final few moments. It was an accident on his part, but you need to be more aware with your stick like that. Could the officials have let it go? Sure, but at the same time I certainly don't fault them for making the call as contact was made to the head. I agree the power play has been bad - Our special teams entirely hasn't been good as the PK has looked unorganized and have had trouble clearing the zone as well. You also need your best players to be your best players. When two of your three goals have been scored by a rookie, and a part time defenseman, that's a hell of a problem. So you have no problem with Ladd getting a penalty after they let the hit on Perreault go. I didn't say that, did I? I'm just smart enough to know at this point that in sports sometimes the calls go your way, other times they don't. There's no conspiracy theory needed, it's just how pro sports works whether any of us like it or not. It's not like we're the only team that's ever gotten the short end of the stick on a call. We're not down 2-0 in the series because the refs aren't giving us the calls. We're down 2-0 because for the most part our power play has been awful, the penalty kill hasn't been much better, and our best players (outside of Stafford, and Pavelec) have done nothing to contribute. Did someone say there is a conspiracy? I'm talking about bad officiating. Besides non-calls or chintzy calls, there were other mistakes that happened that shouldn't have. The rule book states the penalized team must gain control of the puck for play to be blow down but twice when the Jets had pressure on the Ducks on a delayed call the officials whistled the play down when a Duck touched the puck without having control. -

Both the Sportsnet guys and the TSN panel were talking about the missed calls and how blatantly obvious they were. Those missed calls had a direct impact on the outcome of the game. If the Ducks are so good they should be able to win without the assistance from the officials. -

Comparing it to the non-calls against the Ducks, it was a pretty chintzy call against Ladd. -

NHL Public Relations @PR_NHL The @EdmontonOilers have won the NHL Draft Lottery and now hold the first drafting position for the First Round of the 2015 #NHLDraft. Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger 6 minutes ago “@Real_ESPNLeBrun: Right now Oilers CEO Bob Nicholson just fainted”. So did Sabres gm Tim Murray.

Round 1 - Game 2 : Jets @ Anaheim

Curious what's wrong with a late game on a Saturday night? Plenty of pre-gaming time, and still time after the game to celebrate the win. Unless you're the weird churchy type that's gotta be up early Sunday, I guess... How about people with young children who are not able to stay awake late enough to seem much of the game and how it also puts a crimp in the cheering abilities of those parents. -
No. 1 was terrible. Saw that in the theatre and haven't seen any of the others on the big screen since. I saw No. 2 on TV and it was just as bad. The plot holes in it were soooooo huge. I'm still waiting for No. 3 to be on TV so I can watch it. I will defend Abrams for the ST movies. They don't affect any of the canon for the previous series and movies because Abrams' movies are set in an alternate timeline. Trek has had many alternate universe/timeline episodes in the past so it's not like it was something new.

Flory has only been President of the CFLPA since mid-March, 2014 so no he didn't allow this to happen.

First time for the Ti-cats going over and not by much so they get a pass from me. It would be different if it were a team's fifth time over.
-
Didn't they announce this guy a week ago? Yup. I think he was just talking about the guy, not reporting a signing.
-
So Stone is playing and has 2 assists in this game so he missed about 3 minutes because of the slash. So much for questionable for the rest of the series.
-
It can't be worse that Episodes 1 - 3 anyway. Judging by those two trailers it looks like Abrams' annoying light flashes aren't there. I hope they have a solid script (ie no huge plot holes, etc) instead of being overly dependent on special effects. At least with Abram's directing there shouldn't be any stiff acting.

Kerry Fraser says late Perry goal should not have counted

It was the game winning goal. I think it would have mattered. Not like anything can be done now though. -

Jacquie, look who picked the Jets to be in quarter finals https://twitter.com/amellywood/status/588247792369401857 Not just the quarterfinals. His bracket has the Jets playing the Blues in the conference final. Between Arrow, his charity work, his fan interaction and now this, how can you not love the guy. -

Frolik makes $3.3M now. You really think he would sign for $3.5M.

Stafford already makes $4M.
