Pav is starting to lose, back to Hutch ...
Jacquie replied to IC Khari's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
So by your definition of benched, Price was benched against us and Elliott is benched tonight because not playing means benched. -
No but that's not an issue since they had a girl.
-
So you agree that playing in the CFL should be considered a part-time job.

Rotating goalies or the other goalie going on a hot streak doesn't mean a player was benched.Pavelec was benched for a good portion of the season. He even publicly admitted he was frustrated for not playing in like a month after that St Louis game where he let in that game winning goal softie from centre ice with a minute left in the game. He'd only had a few starts in the last couple months. Pavs has played 700 minutes more than Hutchinson this season. Maurice was rotating goalies regularly for a lot of the season. Hutchinson going on a hot streak doesn't mean Pavs was benched anymore than it means Hutchinson is now benched. -

Throw in own goals as well. That is one of the reasons why I think goalie stats are as much a team stat and not just an individual player stat. -

A country does a disservice to itself and all of its citizens to not apply the rules for immigrating. You don't meet the standards set forth then you should not be allowed to be a citizen. Those of us who were born here are damned lucky and privileged. We shouldn't make it easy for just anyone to get in. I think we'd be doing ourselves a disservice if we make the rules such that a person like Henry, who lives, works, and does a tremendous amount of community service here in our country, cannot become a citizen, despite multiple attempts. The rules are not some secret though, if the guy wanted to become a citizen he should have been working on it. It's the arrogance of people like that to think that it's like taking out a library card. They want it so they should be able to get it regardless. No. The rules are there for a reason, don't make exceptions hold everyone to the same standard. He wants to be a citizen he can start by getting his permanent residency and go from there. He is trying to get his permanent residency and then wants citizenship and he's been working on it for the past 3 years. He doesn't want preferential treatment and he's not complaining about the rules - just the ruling that playing in the CFL is a part time job.

No if for Buff. He won't be available until the Calgary game.

Hasn't played enough games to be a contender for the Hart imo. -
Sounds like quite a few made the trip.

I'm no expert but I believe it was a recent change in the immigration rules that has screwed things up for Burris so it didn't apply to some. Also I think players who married Canadian women would have a different process as well.

The technique is you cover the side of the net where the shooter is coming from. Kreider picked up the puck by the boards and they went to the middle of ice before he deked Pavs. -
Scotland's People is the official government website for birth, marriage, death and census records for Scotland. You can view records going back hundreds of years online. Among the records available is the 1841 Scotland census which SP used for an April Fools joke. They really did a great job matching the handwriting so it looks authentic.

Yes it's fake. First thing, Glen Suitor would never write something like that. Second, Carl Volny would never say anything like that.

Two things I would like to see is a Klingon from the House of Mogh and a Soong to connect Arik and Noonien. They don't have to be major characters or anything - just identified at some point.

Wild have moved into 3rd place in the division with the win. Chicago is one point back but with 2 games in hand. That's going to amp up the game tomorrow even more. -
This is how Memory Alpha explains it: TV - CBS Television Distribution, CBS Paramount Network Television/CBS Television Studios, CBS Corporation (2005 – present) Viacom had purchased the CBS Corporation in 2000. They split in 2005. The old Viacom then became the CBS Corporation. Its holding Paramount Television became CBS Paramount Network Television. CBS Television Distribution formed soon after and took over distribution of past Star Trek shows. In 2009, CBS Paramount Network Television became CBS Television Studios; CBS Television Studios has production rights for new Trek series, though it has not (yet) produced any under that name. Movies, DVDs - Paramount Pictures, Viacom (new) (2005 – present) In the 2005 Viacom/CBS split, the old Viacom became the CBS Corporation and a new Viacom was created. This new company owns Paramount Pictures which owns the Trek films. Paramount Pictures produced Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness under license from CBS Television Studios. Paramount continues to also distribute DVDs of the TV series on behalf of CBS. As much as I would LOVE there to be a new Trek series I'm don't think it will happen anytime soon.
-
Paramount is owned by CBS. CBS Television owns the rights to TV Trek according to Memory Alpha. Also according to Memory Alpha, ST: Federation was an undeveloped series suggested back in 2005/2006 - after ENT was cancelled. The website also says the Straczynski series was pitched and rejected in 2004.
-
There have been rumours about new Trek series for TV for years. The most credible was the one about Netflix being interested in doing a series because that one had actual quotes from the people involved. The rest were just wishful thinking.
-
From what I've read this is just another rumour with no basis in factor. And I'm talking about new Trek on TV, not the idea you guys have sex (and I don't mean with each other although there's nothing wrong with that).
