  1. For the record... when I say faj has a bad attitude I never even thought for a second about FIFO... I was thinking about his pissing and moaning about not wanting to compete for a job.
  2. So if he's so good why did Montreal toss him aside? After all, he won then a grey cup... maybe it's time to stop pretending faj is anything more than a guy that people settle for when they don't have better options.
  3. Given the absolute **** attitude he's shown why do you want him as a backup? Poor skills and a poor attitude... thats a no from me.
  4. Such an amazing season the als dropped him like a bad habit first chance they had.
  5. Taking things way off topic, anyone who spells it this way is just wrong.
  6. To be fair this has been your opinion of Thomas his entire career.
  7. See if it was just Jake I'd believe it, but honestly I think they were stuck on the idea of the DL having a Canadian at dt and an end who rotated in. Otherwise why keep schmekel around? Why keep Bennett on all year last year and have Hubert taking big reps early this season?
  8. Yeah a limited Thomas is fine, and Wilson if healthy is a good player (I'd move on because he never stays healthy). It's Bighill they really just need to cut ties with and remove the temptation. He's never healthy and even when he is he isn't good enough any more.
  9. So here's the disconnect... you see it as inability to find better players, everyone else sees it as reluctance to tell vets to go away. Best DT combo the team used all year was woods and adams (where did they get those guys again?) Yet they stuck with the idea they needed a Canadian at the position so it was lots of Thomas.
  10. Well I listed 2... the you had guys like woods who started the bulk of the games and did look solid... garbut and adams had moments, ayers as well... so what exactly are you hoping for? Not a lot of rookies step in and do what schoen did. Often will be their 2nd year guys really hit their stride... show me a team that's done better with first year players...
  11. this seems based on absolutely nothing... Pierce interviewed for head coach roles last season... he took a job in BC this year. i don't get where you figure there is animosity. Goveia also took a promotion... that happens. as for no thank yous... have these moves even been made official? give it time.
  12. Bonds was ******* good at db, Wilson did get 1000 yards as a rookie... which is not bad when you consider how many roles actually ever go to raw rookies in the league.
  13. I view it somewhat differently... I mean during the years Lyle Bauer was here we had some successful seasons but the failure in bringing home the championship kept leading to change, which kept causing setbacks organizationaly which led to a huge hole to dig out from. I'm not so linear in thinking that if you're not first your last. There's a lot of context surrounding any seasons result. 3 straight Grey cup losses... they do show some areas to adjust for sure, but we can't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
  14. Shame that Wilson is made of glass cause God he could be a good player when healthy.
  15. When I say constant criticism I'm not talking about criticism of the whole thing, I'm talking the over the top criticism of the same thing in every context. I disagree with the assessment of the defense getting walked over. Football is a team sport, your offense needs to do something to win a championship because eventually the D in the CFL will give up something. 3 years the offense has been a bag of ****. Injuries, play calls, players not executing... what ever the reason that's why they lost 3 straight. Even a pedestrian offensive effort likely wins some of those games (maybe all).
  16. If this were really true why even have the regular season? Yes ultimately the championship is the main goal, but you don't get the chance without regular season results. You know that I don't blindly support every move this team makes with their roster choices, and you know I think you've got some good insights and are generally a knowledgeable voice.... however you are completely off the deep end in your constant criticism of the whole thing. You have strong opinions about the kind of player you like... but that's just one opinion, there's lots of things that can make a good player. Does this group get everything right? Nope not at all, but they do get a lot right as evidenced by the fact they have all this regular season success and have made 5 straight championship games. Honestly biggest step now IMO is figuring out why the offense has turned into a giant pile of useless in 3 straight Grey cups and change that.
  17. Of the "names" potentially available he would be at the top of my list. Feel like he tends to have under rated offenses
  18. He was probably an easy signing.
  19. Every team brings guys like that to camp, it's the keeping and playing that was the issue.
  20. Everyone was new at their role at some point. Just make sure the people doing the hiring can recognize the qualities in a candidate that will make them successful.
  21. A raw rookie could end up being better... just saying you ain't getting one of the real established top quality OCs here... who are those guys even?
  22. And who are those guys? Like seriously which OC doesn't have risk attached to them?
  23. I don't know that we should be immediately unhappy with an internal hire. None of us really know how good or bad an internal hire would be. I just hope they do some sort of search.
  24. When lapo is your oc you better have an ace kicking game
