Nonsense, the reason you don't see guys getting 200 points is because Wayne Gretzky doesn't play hockey anymore, and neither does Mario Lemieux. So I got a lot of thoughts about thar, however as I said, it's hard mode when your receivers are all gimped.

So how much of the execution problems in last years grey cup go back to dressing the ir receivers for the game? Playing on hard mode when half your guys can't run.

Not to mention the NFL was still stuck in the "qbs below 6'3 need not apply" mindset so qb talent was often overlooked by the NFL for stupid reasons. That doesn't happen anymore.

Completion percentage was way lower back in fluties time, and ints were generally higher too. That's going to skew qb rating stats in a big way as they seem to favour playing a "clean" game. But hey, someone wants to go ahead and say Chad Kelly is comparable to Flutie go ahead and fill your boots.

Montreal is gonna send pressure and try to get after collaros and force bad throws... that's what it comes down to. Bombers keep Zach upright and let him have time to throw it'll be fine. Faj will spin around and run around and who knows what else if he plays. If it's the rookie well... bombers been good this year keeping mobile qbs from being a problem.

I mean on his best days sure Kelly can be one of the top qbs in the league... the point though is being better than broken down old, blm and collaros or old average at best Harris or faj.... well that's a low ******* bar, especially when you invoke the name of Flutie... Honestly I couldn't tell you what fluties win/loss record looked like... he is thr best to ever play up here because his impact on the field was ******* obvious. None of the qbs that have come through since have been anywhere near the player Flutie was.

2019 Nichols had a great record and then got hurt... and collaros split time with streveler in the playoffs and honestly the team probably doesn't get past the semi-final without streveler. Then in 2021 collaros was pretty awful in the grey cup... but happened to have good special teams and a top teir defense backing him... so the point is that the Bombers won as a team not because of collaros. In fact I've said for as long as anyone will listen that collaros being the best qb in the league the last few years is a damning indictment of the qb talent across the league. He is good, but he's not best in the league kind of good. When noodle armed morons like fajardo can be among the most consistent starters you know you have a qb talent crisis.

I was just going to respond the same... it's super easy for Montreal to brush off that last game... and the Bombers are a pissed off team after blowing a chance to clinch first and will want to send a message going into the playoffs and ensure the west final is in winnipeg. Toronto is to me the odds on pick to come out of the east. Rising at the correct time.

Collaros is not gonna retire. He wouldn't have signed the 3 year deal ifnhe wanted to bow out early, especially with the home grey cup. The only thing I could see making him think about it is some sort of major injury that is going to take too long to rehab.

Bombers record coming off a bye is pretty damned good last few years is it not? Throw in something to play for and I like their chances.

Pretty sure I read people here trashing the reffing in that game too... and I read people trashing the reffing against the elks when we smoked them too. And I see it in game threads for games not involving the Bombers.... this is a recurring thing thay has happened for multiple seasons. You'd know that if you paid attention rather than just showing up for a drive by after an Argo win.

I disagree, they were pretty bad all game as is usual in the cfl, people are only talking about the spot of the ball on 3rd and 17 because it was the last play thar mattered in the game.

The ball is Out of Bounds when a player in possession of the ball touches a Sideline, Sideline in Goal, Dead Line or the ground or any other object on or beyond these lines. Pretty straight forward actually. Player in the air the ball is out wherever the player is deemed to be down... so question is, you spot at the players knee or where the ball is? Cause that's the entire issue with spotting the ball. Sometimes it's the ball when a player reaches, but sometimes it's where the player goes down. Consistency from officials. To a man everyone here has said the offense was dog **** and Castillo sucked... that doesn't mean we can't also say the refs sucked too.

This is a dumb statement... part of the refs job is to be in a position to see things from the right perspective. There's enough of them on the field. My biggest problem isn't that officials on field make mistakes or miss things. It's a fast game with a lot going on, that happens. But as it has been since they brought in video review, the command centre makes baffling calls. So if you can't get the call right after review why even have review?

It's not random... basically every game this year the refs embarrass themselves with ineptitude in some fashion. No one is saying "oh the refs always screw us over", it's more "the refs suck and they and the command centre regularly botch things". Like it's amateur hour in the CFL for reffing. Compared to say the NHL where I don't think the refs are inept, they just heavily engage in game management because that's what the NHL wants. I don't believe the CFL refs manage games, they're just useless.

More than anything I think it says "we watched the film... it was ****!" and are making a change that they can make to help the situation.

The league really needs to stop trying to tweak the rules every offseason and focus more on improving the officiating on the rules they do have already. It's quite frankly a joke how incompetent the referees are in the cfl.
