  1. Same as it ever was. The economy bounced back huge and quick. The inflation fighting measures of the bank of Canada are what is going to push things into a recession which is their goal because they only have one tool to fix inflation.
  2. If they didn't spend during covid the economy would have been in the absolute toilet and people would be destitute. Did some people get money that shouldn't have? Absolutely. But it kept people employed and businesses operating and provided a huge bounce back opportunity for the economy. It didn't cause inflation contrary to what the right wing talking points say.
  3. I think centrist exists, right wingers the world over are just hellbent on dragging everything further and further right. I care much less about right or left, all I want it a pragmatic government that is able to step outside of their ideology and government based on facts and evidence. It is why I really like Rachel Notley. She put aside the partisan nonsense and governed in the best interest of Alberta rather than along party lines. The complete opposite of the ucp. Dame reason I would rather a federal liberal government than a conservative one despite Trudeau being a complete dope. Cons are all about the party line, liberals are more willing to adapt in the face of evidence.
  4. She can't keep her mouth shut and it's cost her elections in the past when the wild rose were poised to win. Alberta are blue voters out of habit, but people don't like this talk about paying for health care or paying out the ass for a provincial police force, or letting Smith have control of their pensions... I suspect what winds up happening is a lot of PC voters who can't stomach voting for the NDP but really dislike Smith just stay home on election day.
  5. Well that's just like your opinion man...
  6. https://youtu.be/MNzOJcCLrtM
  7. Is he even going to be ready for camp? Achilles at his age... man that's a tall order. Guy was so key for us but I will be shocked if he gets back to that level.
  8. citation needed... also are you factoring in all the added costs that inevitably gets passed down onto consumers when conservative governments go about de-regulating ****?
  9. Will never understand the stupidity required to believe that a career politician like little Milhouse is the guy to understand the average person.
  10. No you did not learn that today. You forgot that you knew it before.
  11. Read the part that agrees with the already held belief! That's the thing about polls, you need to read the sampling information to determine the actual value of the poll.
  12. There are a whole lot of people and organizations to take ownership of residential schools.
  13. Yikes... I mean sure you can draw parallels with other boarding schools etc.... but the white kids weren't taken away specifically to "teach" their heritage out of them. Residential schools were all about eradicating a culture. Small wonder some of the problems on reserves exist.
  14. My view is that people will always find some reason to justify their shitty actions. Religion is an easy one but I truly believe that the intent behind religion is a good one. Like anything though it requires people to not have that desire to be shitty.
  15. Religion is fine, it's people that suck. Oftentimes the people who suck co-opt religions for shitty purposes.
  16. Noil it won't, it will be recorded as a vote for someone. We don't vote against people in this country.
  17. It's embarrassing and some of us have been sounding the warning signs for Calgary for a while now. (Paging speedflex....). This city is going to watch the stamps die if they don't pull their heads out of their asses. Beem a slow road but maybe now others will see what has been building for a while now.
  18. His followers don't care. Trudeau bad! Is all that matters to them.
  19. Like I said, it's easy to point fingers and yell when you're only job is to do just that. But it's not leadership and that us why he looks bad now. He is doing the same things but when you are supposed to be a leader you actually need to come up with the answers. It's why conservatives are failing the country right now. They aren't interested in answers, only yelling about how awful the other guys are.
  20. He has always been a troll... he was another one of Harpers attack dogs like Jason Kenney. Yell loudly about how awful the other guys are and point fingers. Just doing the exact same thing he has always done. It's just way more obvious when you're the leader. yeah but there doesn't need to be vacations for that to happen. Trudeau is a spoiled rich kid, no **** he goes on vacations with other rich folks. The influence is already bought and paid for with all political parties anyway.
  21. I have some ocean front property I am willing to sell you for cheap.... MLSE were leading the charge to try and cash in on the XFL crap. They aren't willing to spend on the Argos and that's the problem. It's nothing to them. Would be a lot better off with an owner that gave a **** about the team and league and actually tried to build up the franchise.
  22. These are the people who got Danielle Smith elected and these are the people stacking the candidates for the UCP with their own ilk.... and people aren't paying attention and are pretending it's the same old PCs. Hopefully the campaign exposes it for people to see.
