  1. None of this is as contradictory as you make it seem IMO. You sign a guy as a QB he has to play QB, OK but what stops you from putting a 3rd QB on the roster at the expense of a DI? He is just on the roster to stand around in case you need him. It costs you a DI though and DIs are very important to teams these days. Or you use a Canadian QB and it costs you a special teams player and potential depth at other positions. Now let's say you sign Streveler as a running back for example, now you can put him on the roster with anyone... but I bet the CFL would create a rule to prevent things like that from happening.
  2. Though I will throw in the caveat that I haven't driven that way since I had kids so it probably takes 12 hours to get to Regina now, plus another 4 to get everyone out the door.
  3. Pretty reliable 7 hours for me. Also highly dependent on where you are starting from in calgary.
  4. I want as much streveler as I can get.
  5. Brown was absolutely not serviceable... He had a great run game, and good protection from the offensive line and completely failed to do anything but throw short passes sometimes (honestly I was shocked he got to 50% completions) and pick up some yardage on a few scrambles. McGuire I got a lot more time for based on the circumstances in that game, based purely on that one he wasn't serviceable either.
  6. counter point:
  7. There were just some things that didn't fit culturally....
  8. They kind of did, but a brown fumble took 7 points off the board.
  9. Maier didn't do **** until that last 2 minutes either.
  10. You sat in the stands and watched that game and came to that conclusion? Brown had some nice scrambles but his throws were absolutely atrocious. McGuire threw some ints in montreal yes but at least he appears to have an arm that can threaten a defence. Brown didn't do **** in the passing game and if he did it was all short balls. Basically what Fajardo did before his "break out" He might be a prospect worth developing but he ain't ready to be the #2. If Mcguire stepped into a game with that kind of running attack going no way he doesn't have more success than Brown had.
  11. Yeah calgary did not look good at all. They couldn't get anything going until the last 2 minutes against the bombers D featuring the roster fillers. As much as Sask is over rated they should be able to dispatch this sad sack stampeders team.
  12. He gets open and catches the ball... his qb made a point to lobby for him to stay on the team. Perhaps we should trust that opinion more than an arm chair GM.
  13. Loluettes indeed
  14. "Trade me right ******* now!"
  15. It's been 2 years since I had a chance to see the Bombers live (and what a chance that was) damned right I'm gonna watch this team.
  16. Instead we are all laughing at his dumb ass. You want to pick a DL do it the way Doug Brown did and pick the one who has been better this year.
  17. I see dirty work I laugh.
  18. No surprises there. They all have a chance to be winners. Though it will probably wind up just being collaros and Bryant.
  19. yeah don't worry, he won't be resting for years and years.
  20. I didn't care for the preseason in November approach but I am ok getting guys some reps. The biggest mistake though in my opinion was leaving McGuire in when he was clearly struggling. Give him a break for even a few series to calm down.
  21. Momentum is real and it has a huge impact on things. The truly great teams can change momentum more easily.
  22. Lucky for them that Williams can't get any slower than he already looked. "go be tall and hope they don't cover you" seems to be the only plays he has anyway.
  23. Jesus is still no match for Mike O'Shea.
