  1. Is this a case of crapigna will be back soon so they are content to let this loser kick til he is back and not force legs into that situation yet? Cause really I see no other reason at all to give this much leash to a prospect American kicker.
  2. They are still a minority, just a very loud and vocal widespread one.
  3. Bottom line is I don't think there is a gm in thr league who does their homework on the draft as much as walters does. Same with the global draft. He is the most proactive gm in the league if you ask me. His philosophy of always drafting guys for the lines has paid off bigtime.
  4. Yeah that's just it. He is an older American, you can't stpe in and hit field goals at an average rate GTFO.
  5. yeah I don't know why people would be down on McKnight, he caught everything thrown his way. Seemed like the kind of solid game you expect from a replacement player.
  6. what's the latest on Crappy? He done for the year or what?
  7. They actually did pretty good when Hardrick was out last game, and I would imagine that it gives us another Canadian started in that situation which could be a nice bonus somewhere else on the roster.
  8. laughed harder at this than anticipated....
  9. yeah and given that they're burning the bridge with him in real time they clearly don't have use for Harris anyway. It's truly a Tim Burke / Mike Kelly level stupid of the QB handling.
  10. Thing is, the Bombers gave them those things last week. Few missed field goals, uncharacteristic turnovers... and still curb stomped the Elks. I just have a hard time imagining that the bombers play that sloppy again.
  11. some terrible head coaching going on in the CFL this year.
  12. They sure can attack differently.... but in the end it won't matter much because the Bombers D will feast on a rookie qb.
  13. if we are going to miss kicks then we might as well just let Legs do it because at least he potentially has a future.
  14. Objectively subpar... well if that isn't polishing a turd. Objectively he has been God awful. If anyone played that badly you can be damned sure people would be wanting them cut. It's like a receiver who can't catch or a db who is never there in coverage.
  15. A guy who only managed to make short field goals in his 3 games and you want to give him another shot? At best he needs a lot of work to become a pro level kicker, but he's old and American so why waste any more time on the guy?
  16. They had to walk uphill both ways through 10 feet of snow to buy a bolt fabric to make one themselves.
  17. Psychological my ass, dude can't do anything but kick the ball straight.
  18. Refs instantly call that a TD but McGuire looks to cross the goal line vs. Edmonton and nothing.
  19. Just ask his girlfriend!
  20. I think the difference is that Mitchell is dealing with more mechanical injuries that are hampering his play. Collaros in Saskatchewan was two things: head injuries and a gameplan not suited to his style.
  21. That's actually insane... Man all the stats about this D and it still astounds me. I don't know that I have ever seen anything like what we are seeing this year. It doesn't even matter that the special teams are such a weakness.
  22. A stamps win over the riders really makes the west interesting and puts the heat squarely on the melon heads. After their "hot start" suddenly they are in a battle for a home playoff game. Would love to see it so for today only go stamps go. Kick the anthill!
  23. Loeffler was plenty physical, difference is that Alexander can cover too.
  24. Suitor of all people actually said it pretty well last night.... you pay full retail price for everything you get against the Bombers d. It's true. You gotta earn anything the hard way and the Bombers just never stop coming. They got enough depth they rotate guys through and keep everyone fresh.
  25. Probably thinking Harris was just missing passes all on his own. Fact is Harris was rushing every throw because he was terrified of the beating he would take if he held on longer. That is the way to beat the Bombers D, quick accurate throws. Problem is there are few qbs can be that accurate throwing quick. Maier was actually really good at it in the game against Calgary, not many others have managed to be.
