He'll the democrats aren't even all that much pro democracy. They are still bought and paid for by the wealthy elite. That's what the both sides is. The wealth playing both sides against each other to ensure they get even richer.

Must have been an amazing 133 passing attempts then.

Are you sure that actually happened? Are you sure you're not just remembering how the rider fans blew all sorts of smoke up his ass with the expectation Jones was bringing him to Saskatchewan? Cause a young qb having a few decent games is certainly not a guy looking like Warren moon 2.0.

And worked tirelessly to undermine western alliances on Putins behalf, and to ease sanctions on Russia. Yeah the entire GOP is the pro-russia party.

Of course it was a boom that spurred the population growth, but that doesn't change those people being here now spurring some diversification. No one is saying the province can just replace oil and gas with no shrinkage in economy, but alberta is not going to find itself as a nothing province without another boom. Lemme tell you the oil and gas industry has been a ******* ghost town the last 7 years and Alberta hasn't collapsed. Oil and gas is just an enormous thing that skewed perspectives.

Alberta is more diverse than people think. Just because oil and gas was ridiculously big doesn't change that. Ucp reversed a lot of the work the ndp did to further those aims but you can't totally stop it. Calgary is the 4th largest city in the country now I believe, alberts has been creeping up on BC in population too. That alone brings with it economic diversity. Everything else just gets compared to the juggernaut that is oil and gas.

2022 Off Season - Back 2 Back Champs Edition
Just go to playoffs is the cold. I have sat through some absolutely frigid temperatures. Just dress appropriately. We're all Canadians here, we know how to dress for the elements... course I see people show up in a light jacket and jeans to cold weather games and they're miserable... guess some people refuse to put on the winter outfit.

Yeah man. I think about possible replacement for Kenney within the UCP as premier and I laugh because as deplorable and without merit as a leader as Jason Kenney is, he is hands down the very best choice they have.

The point isn't for missing the field goal, the point is for kicking the ball through the endzone. I like the rouge purely for a quirky thing about the CFL.

I don't like changing the dimensions of the field. That's a big change. Look everyone wants the CFL to thrive, but most of the pushback to proposed changes has little to do with the changes themselves and more the fact that there is the perception that the league is only trying to find an easy fix to get asses in the stands and eyes on TV. Which isn't going to happen. The game is already exciting, if people aren't watching it is for other reasons that the league needs to address first.

I see the NFL didn't consider changing something as fundamental as the number of downs... all these media types need to get off their own dicks trying to make the cfl a shittier Northern nfl

So out of touch with the real world. So concerned with appealing to the base to try and avoid the inevitable boot they are preparing for his ass in a leadership review (his only hope is if he can cheat hard enough again) he doesn't understand that keeping his job as ucp leader will alienate the majority of the province and cost him the job as premier. Just no clue that pandering to the worst elements makes you unelectable to the majority.

Covid-19
Yeah there are very few people wearing masks anymore. About the only place I'll put one on is the university of calgary because they still require it until the end of the term. Everywhere else there is no point. No one else wears one it doesn't make a difference. Government has stopped caring so just accepting the reality that eventually we will all catch it.

Except the PCs were very much a centrist, big tent party... Allison Redford would have made a fine Liberal. The UCP however is not the PCs. They are a far right wild rose replacement that borrowed the name conservative for electability reasons. Let's not forget the Harper conservatives were a lot friendlier with the wild rose party than they were the PCs.

Jason kenney, an extreme right winger by any stretch think he is the moderate one. These people have completely lost the picture of the world. They're so left behind by the rest of society they don't even understand how far out there they are.
-
Canadian Politics
Have you seen the "winners " in that group? Kenney is by far the most capable of them and Bumbles has ****** up every thing they've touched. Would he though? He is a pretty far right figure himself...
-
Canadian Politics
Not likely. Alberta had plenty of chances to elect the wild rose far right types and every single time they opted not to . The ucp preyed on the fact that people believed they would be the old pcs and not as far right as the wild rose.
