Those things aren't poor plays? Truth is the Bombers offense has been kinda poor in the pass game vs. Edmonton these last 2 weeks. Sloppy. So yeah, they won, and won big last week, but shoulda been bigger both weeks but for some sloppy and poor play. Maybe Edmonton's secondary is just a poor matchup but the O definitely had some room to improve.

The only thing cornholio was able to get were broken plays. This D is so good.
-
It arguably improves the interior of the line... which could mean more Harris which slows down a pass rush bigtime anyway.

So the way to look at the rules is not in terms of # of minimum Canadian starters, the rules are laid out essentially as follows: you get x number of Americans on the roster and x number of designated imports who can only replace other Americans in the starting line up. The math works out that it means you need at least 7 Canadians to start. You start 8 though you have that extra American who can be on the roster without having to be a designated import.
-
But if we are starting more than the minimum number of Canadians we get an American on the roster as a backup who isn't a DI correct?
-
So your plan is to **** talk the defence that is making a mockery of the league?

Hey you are the only one revising history in this post. Mourtada is 31 years old and we gotta fix mechanics? 31 year olds aren't project they are firmly in the perform or go away category. This isn't a case of oh he has had a few misses either. This is a case of he has only been able to hit short kicks.
-
He kicks it straight from where he lined up. On the left hash? Gonna miss left. On the right? Gonna miss right. Dude just doesn't get how angles work. If he was kicking from the middle of the field all the time no problem but the cfl that doesn't happen.
-
He wins a second cup he can have whatever the **** he wants.
-
young canadian vs. old assed american with no resume to speak of... yeah totally the same. I got lots of patience with Legghio for the reasons you listed. Not for an american on the wrong side of 30 with no proven ability to kick the ball at any appreciable level. A guy missing because he just misses some kicks and has consistency issues is one thing, a guy missing because he isn't able to figure out how to kick from the hash marks is quite another.
-
They said it was an alignment thing after game one.... how many games are we supposed to wait for this guy to get it right? Season is winding down and we got a 40% kicker who can't figure out angles yet... Sorry for not having patience.
-
I don't think I would see Collaros leaving Winnipeg easily. The place that rejuvenated his career, got a championship (maybe more than one?) and let's him play behind a top OL... Lotta reasons to stay here.
-
Jason kenney came to lower based on people wanting oil and gas jobs nothing more.
-
Which is fine, I have no problem if they don't want him doing it all at this point, but christ, a 3q year old 40% kicker who only hit short field goals.... you can't keep letting that guy keep trying field goals. He is too flawed at that aspect.
-
Because kenney knows he needs them to win. You can't win alberta just with the rural ridings and Edmonton leans pretty left so you gotta get rural plus calgary to get your majority and kenney can't seem to find the tightrope to walk to keep both sides happy.
-
We don't need to bring in a kicker from u sports or take a prospect off another team's pr, we have a guy with a good university resume on the roster already who has a better success rate kicking field goals than mourtada. Why we stick with a 31 year old american who can't make kicks from the hash marks I have no idea.
-
Is this a case of crapigna will be back soon so they are content to let this loser kick til he is back and not force legs into that situation yet? Cause really I see no other reason at all to give this much leash to a prospect American kicker.
-
They are still a minority, just a very loud and vocal widespread one.
-
Bottom line is I don't think there is a gm in thr league who does their homework on the draft as much as walters does. Same with the global draft. He is the most proactive gm in the league if you ask me. His philosophy of always drafting guys for the lines has paid off bigtime.
-
Yeah that's just it. He is an older American, you can't stpe in and hit field goals at an average rate GTFO.
-
yeah I don't know why people would be down on McKnight, he caught everything thrown his way. Seemed like the kind of solid game you expect from a replacement player.
-
what's the latest on Crappy? He done for the year or what?
-
They actually did pretty good when Hardrick was out last game, and I would imagine that it gives us another Canadian started in that situation which could be a nice bonus somewhere else on the roster.
-
laughed harder at this than anticipated....
-
yeah and given that they're burning the bridge with him in real time they clearly don't have use for Harris anyway. It's truly a Tim Burke / Mike Kelly level stupid of the QB handling.
