  1. The Democrats are afraid of getting down in the dirt with the Republicans. They are focused on the election rather than trying to hold anyone accountable other than token gestures. Not holding the senate they are basically abdicating their responsibilities because they know the GOP will circle the wagons and defend their criminal organization.
  2. he did, but Jefferson was disrupting things all night too.
  3. He probably had to boof and didn't want to do it in public.
  4. and by fair treatment you of course mean ignoring anything shitty someone on the right does and drumming up support for lynching people on the left for minor or imagined offenses.
  5. they need to get the quotes about the disbanding of it front and centre too. The whole thing about you can bring these people on quickly when you need them. For anyone with more than a couple brain cells to rub together you understand that being prepared isn't something you do after a problem hits.
  6. yes it's a construct that is effective because of people who want to label everything they don't like as some kind of ism. Just gives the right an out to ignore all concerns. I am telling you, if you focus your energy on the very obvious and blatant stuff you do more to change people than by trying to paint everything as awful. I really don't see the racism in a tirade about wet markets. That this started in China doesn't mean it's racist to think those practises are bad.
  7. That's crap, that just makes people resent SJWs. Here's what you do: You call out the actualy garbage and stop treating things that aren't really that bad as that bad. Don't invent things that aren't there, attack what is actually there. It's more effective and less divisive.
  8. We could list a half dozen guys who coulda been MVP if not for Harris.
  9. Oh there's plenty of things worthy of Trump being impeached. Let's not confuse the Democrats impotence in actually accomplishing anything as any kind of proof of Trumps innocence.
  10. I still think it's bullshit to cry racism on a hunch that it might be racist. Too many people these days want everything to be some kind of -ism. Sometimes there's nothing sinister involved other than a comment about one theory for the origins of the disease. That it happened to be in China does not mean any one making a comment on it is being racist. Outrage culture is just the worst thing to happen to this world.
  11. The game Demski played in the Grey Cup doesn't get nearly enough love. I am critical of the guy at times but he was huge in that game and if not for Harris being Harris he could easily have taken the top canadian in the game award.
  12. OK so he's an ignorant jackass, but what am I missing that makes it inherently racist? Is that not he prevailing theory on how this virus jumped from bats to humans?
  13. Agreed, so play by the rules as I outlined in my post. Simple facts only need to be fact checked, editorials bias matters. All clear?
  14. Reality has a left bias. That's really the problem in the States. Republicans and things such as Fox News have dragged the conversation so far into right field anything that isn't out there right wing nonsense has a "left" bias. besides, things such as reports of people calling for Barr to resign are simply facts and don't need to worry about bias. Now if there's a bit on "what this means" then that is susceptible to bias, but factual reporting without an editorial attached to it then no need to worry if the facts are sourced correctly.
  15. So smokers get to die of regular old lung cancer then.
  16. this assumes they're not in it for the grift too though.
  17. People don't appreciate the gravity of what is happening down there. The Republican party has been chipping away at the rule of law, they are turning into a dictatorship right before our eyes and people just seem to think "Oh well, election in November"
  18. I thought they were already over 70k.
  19. Yeah but the party still has tremendous say in the policy and if a leader tried to go rogue they would be brought in line.
  20. But even that still requires him to keep his party on board. And I have a lot of faith that if they tried to ram something through that was completely out of line with the constitution the governor General would step in and say no. It may not be a perfect system, but history is showing the westminster parliamentary system to be a lot better than the American system.
  21. Well there are for democratic presidents.
  22. If the issue is with the word suspends then don't suspend the 2020 season. Postpone it until 2021.
  23. Oh it's been here all along. Canada is just better at keeping them quiet.
  24. It's probably disingenuous at best. An insurance payout probably helped Donnie's daddy get started but my understanding is old man trump was actually good at the business and Donald just funded up everything he touched.
  25. It's easier to blame someone else for your lot in life than take responsibility for your own actions.
