god bless the researchers doing this stuff.

Jason Kenney being an *******, nothing new here. Same as he ever was. Just gotta ride out the next several years and hope people have smartened the **** up next election.
-
I did my absolute best to try and tell people here that Kenney was going to be like this but to no avail. They all thought that conservatives had a magic oil price button to push.
-
absolutely, if someone I had supported in the past acted like a dink I'd vote for someone else no hesitation. Elected officials are only accountable when voters hold them accountable. Voting for someone no matter what simply enables abuses of power to happen.

Yeah but they can't afford that because they're spending all their money protecting these countries! Slackers should have to spend on their own militaries! Rabble rabble rabble!
-
That seems the pessimistic view to me. Flattening should show up sooner than a couple months.

Add in that Canada is going to start paying 75% of salary for small and medium businesses too. Really impressed by the way they are stepping up and doing the right thing.

Poor Trumpy. So desperately wants praise for solving this thing yet history will write about his ineptitude exacerbating the situation and it being a complete disaster. Being a good leader isn't that hard, you simply listen to the smart people and let them make you look good. Trump though doesn't like not being the smartest guy in the room, which given how low a bar that is makes the entire thing a gong show. Sad. Even sadder that so many people bought into the crap.

There were jerks before and there will be jerks after.

OK Boomer sorry I don't really mean that, it was just too easy to pass up.

Westworld season 1 = great, season 2 = meh

And that scene only exists because Harrison Ford was sick during filming that day and didn't really have the energy for the big fight scene so this was the solution. Happy little accident that worked out better in the long run As for Picard, I've enjoyed it, but it's far from perfect. The writing isn't phenomenal to be honest. Kind of holds things back. I also feel like they sort of gloss over too much of what happened in Deep Space Nine. Surely you would think that a major war like that would have lasting repercussions, yet it never comes up and it takes place as if that series never happened at all.

Joke's on us anyway, our generation will never be able to retire.

When the market is down it's a great time to invest. Too bad that most working folks don't have the money to do that

That is the downside of the internet. People can always find something to support their viewpoint. There's no standards on what can get posted. It's why a guy like Trump can flat out lie and people will still buy it. So much misinformation out there and sadly the bulk of the population is just not equipped to understand how to separate good information from crap.

PRESIDENTIAL HARASSMENT!!! Seriously if they didn't want the president profiting from the office they would have put some sort of emoluments clause in place to avoid this from happening. So unfair.

I have said for a long time that the USA is as backwards as any 3rd world country, brainwashed by religious fanatics in power. They just have better technology. If the red states weren't propped up by the few blue states they would be even worse shitholes.

Yeah we are seeing with many governments around the world, and it's front and centre in the USA how part of the playbook is managing perception. Sad days when global pandemics are used for political gains. Now I personally don't see it as the most dangerous thing out there in terms of **** that will kill you... but it might kill you and you are almost certain to catch it in some form. I don't want to be out there running around as some kind of Typhoid Mary potentially passing along a virus that could kill someone so I take precautions as everyone should. Yeah it's gonna hurt economically, but that just means that society and our governments are going to have to adapt and change. Business as usual ain't gonna cut it anymore. This is a great opportunity to make some positive changes in the world.

More because gerrymandering.

plus it's only changing the designation based on the death rate.. which seems silly. You have a virus that infects a very large number of people there are going to be enough people who recover just fine so the death rate will be low... but overall it's still a lot of possible deaths, and the piece even says there's still a pile of precautions.... It's just more seblantics.

More than anything I wouldn't give that power to a certifiable rich ******* like Morneau. I'm still holding a grudge against him for basically calling incorporated people tax cheats. Just because that's what he uses numbered corporations for doesn't mean it's what the rest of us did it for. **** that guy.

Was literally the only thing he could hang his hat on. Even if the stock market doesn't equate to the economy enough idiots believed it. A recession was coming covid or not and the orange idiot gets to own it all.
-
Yeah I don't like that one bit.
